I just read the blog post of this Gungor guy ( http://gungormusic.com/2014/08/im-with-you/ ). Utter rubbish if you ask me! Do we believe that GOD is the actual author behind the entire Bible or not? If so, of course Genesis is believable fact!
If everything has to have so-called scientific backing, then I wonder who he's truly basing his faith on? GOD or man??
Steve R, the House of Judah (Jews) have remained (mostly) intact throughout the world over the centuries. Family records and communities have ensured this. Thousands upon thousands of them have returned to their land! This is indisputable really. The house of Israel, on the other hand, has been totally dispersed and have lost their heritage except for some small groups. GOD know these people though - and, who knows, many Christians may be part of Israel unawares!?
Lurker, I agree with your Acts 15 link to the Amos passage.
However, my point was that GOD says He would plant Israel on their land and they would never again be taken out of their land. I believe that we're seeing that right now.
Amos 9:15 And I will plant them (Israel) upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
Prophecy will be fulfilled! There is spiritual Israel and physical Israel, and they're both totally about GOD and not man. We gentiles are grafted in to Israel! It is not believing Jews that are grafted in. Let us not boast about the natural branches!
Hebrews 8 is all about the priesthood changing. We have a great High Priest!
Perkins, I don't think you get it! It's not really because of the education that we homeschool children. It's because of the sin, immorality, anti-GOD and humanistic teachings and "lifestyle". I DO NOT want my child learning about homosexual acts!! Read the Word of GOD! He tells us not to learn the way of the heathen. GOD is sovereign - and in His sovereignty, He has written His instructions for us in how we are to live and how we are to raise our families. I have not found any Scriptures supporting hyper-Calvanism!
Penned: It sounds like you wouldn't have a problem if you had rockets coming onto your turf in continuous random attacks. Hamas deliberately work in amongst civilians. What else can Israel do? If the USA was Israel I'd like to see how this would have been dealt with. Much harsher is my guess.
GOD didn't lie to Abraham, Isaac or Jacob. Surely?! And, to the person who thinks there are barely any true descendants of Abraham in Israel, I wonder where that rubbish comes from? GOD never divorced the southern kingdom of Judah (Jews). They are still His people! Does that mean they will all be saved? Unfortunately not. But, read your Bible - they never were in the past either.
I don't know where this rich homeschooling idea has come from. It's nothing to do with money!! It's to do with raising our children as GOD instructs us to do. If I send my kids to a public school, perhaps I should also go to gay nightclubs and heavy metal rock concerts!? Won't GOD just save me and keep me regardless of what I do (according to some of the previous comments)? No! GOD talks about protecting the children and training them to live His ways as they mature and learn to look to Him in all ways.
Totally agree!!! I can't believe the progression of immorality and perversion that Australia's public schools are displaying. Every time I see the next thing coming in I am so thankful that GOD directed us into homeschooling our children!

I agree that end times study is time consuming and extraordinarily difficult. I do find it interesting though, that Thessalonians discusses end times events and they are considered basic teachings.

The big Arab war against Israel comes from a Psalm 83 prophecy, with the people I've read expecting this to be the next major biblical (prophecy) event. It is quite possibly nuclear too.
John, from my understanding there will be a coalition of (I think) 10 nations (currently all Muslim) that will attempt to destroy Israel but be totally routed! At a later date (Armaggedin) Israel will be surrounded by all nations, but the Messiah will be "their" salvation.

In a recent (but rare) trip to a "Christian" bookstore, I went to look at the music section. I found pentagrams, zombies and the like on the album covers!
You can get some good stuff from these bookstores at times, but they're simply business' that are looking to sell into a certain market. As time goes by there are fewer items that are of any biblical value in my opinion.
