Brother Saint Elected Elmer I wrote: And don't forget Christian persecution in the united states of America, particular from tax terrorists and child predator service terrorists. While you all are arguing about some stupid puppet president or watching some stupid game, children are being stolen and abused everyday, even from believers. Brother "Saint" Elected Elmer I, Much of your comment is well taken, except that none of us have been called to label or characterize another as a "stupid puppet president." Especially our president and other leaders. We have been sanctified, set apart, to go to God in prayer for them. As saints, the sanctified ones, we do not address issues as the ungodly do.When Christ was on the cross, he had the president in view and did not forsake the will of the Father plan to sacrifice his life. It is sad that much evil occurs while watching men chasing a ball, on Sunday, and our children practicing a sport on Wednesdays. We fail to see that we are aborting the abundant life Christ promises. Children will seek a life of depravity at the hands of their captors, if they survive at all. An added note. Many complain when taxes go up but not sports tickets or cable rates. |

JayJay wrote: TrueHolyBibleChristianCatholic, You wrote: **VOTE TRUMP FOR U.S. PRESIDENT ! You are quickly turning me off of him, not like i've ever liked him to begin with! All caps political campaign bulletins on a Christian comment thread are annoying! What does this mean? Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (Jas 4:4). Are posters encouraging adultery without knowing it? Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts. (James 4:3). What part of the old sin nature do "Christian" voters (posters) want satisfied? Do they want bigger barns? All that is in the world is at enmity with God. Is this true? Is there something you don't want others to have? Then there has to be a law for that. But there is no law against the fruit of the spirit. Voting is sowing to the flesh. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts. (Jas 4:3) What does it mean? Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom(Luk 12:32). Is the heavenly Father's kingdom what u r seeking, Jay, Jay? |

Guru wrote: Slipped up a little bit there, Tony? I suspected you were also Sneaky, but now we have evidence here before our eyes! To all in general. This board is like a dry desert. Sand gets in our eyeReading the many posts, I am more and more amazed at the work of Jesus Christ as he hung upon the cross FOR us and BECAUSE of us. He gave over his will to the Father with JOY, in order to bring many sons to glory. The squabbling, the fault-finding among the disciples, the Scribes and Pharisees, those in rule, etc. we in his vision. Peter was so concerned what others, John in point, would do. Jesus saith unto him, “ If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me” (Jn 21:22). It is hard even for me to mind my own business & keep myself in the love of God. Imagine Jesus seeing people as we do & then saying to the Father, “Forget this! That person is ..." Like the church elders and the adulteress. But he finds no spot in his beloved Bride. He is able to keep us from falling, & to present us faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, (Jude 24). We are in him. Had Scribes & Pharisees their way, none would enter in. Let's not make it hard for others. STOP fault finding. Let your hair down. |

Barney Fife wrote: A lot of people are taking citizenship classes to become a US citizen in time to vote against Trump. What is ironic is that many blacks will vote for him, against the illegals, because they know their economic prospects are reduced by the presence of illegals. I've seen a lady from Bolivia working at cleaning an office; you have to wonder--did the US Embassy in La Paz think that there was a vital need for office cleaners to give her a visa? The blacks in the office see this and wonder--why wasn't this job given to a local person? Others say, well, the locals (white or black) are receiving such well-paid benefits that it is not worth it to take a low-paying job. There are a large number of such benefits, like healthcare, cell phone service, food stamps (not stamps but a card that looks like you pay with a credit card, reducing the 'shame' felt with food stamps. BF,You don't have first-hand info. U r simply parroting others. Please don't say "A lot of blacks ..., or even many blacks will vote ... ." The sad things is that man has continued to create "RACE" in this clearly defined creation of God - humanity. If you can see the kingdom, then see humanity. Go against the culture. The rich are saying the same about the poor. |

2 Tim. 3:16 wrote: @Y'all This new guard vs old guard stuff has to stop. I understand and appreciate that some of you have been posting on here for a long time and have probably made friends with other posters over the years. But there was a time when all of the posters on here were new. I think that the old guard needs to reach out to the new guard and vice versa. I'm sure that there are some new posters on here who have not had a very warm reception. I've noticed that Dave from oz has been a very good model of charity towards all, and I appreciate that. I hope that people's personal relationships will not turn these threads into us versus them. We can, and will, disagree on things, but hopefully we can do so charitably. Blessings to all, may God help us be a good witness to others. 2 Tim 3:16So you discerned what could develop a schism, or faction. Good. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. {1Co 1:12 KJV} For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I [am] of Apollos; are ye not carnal? {1Co 3:4 KJV} Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, [but] not to doubtful disputations. {Rom 14:1 KJV} |

There is a reason that the one true God called us into fellowship with himself. It is to carry out his will. We are joint heirs with Christ who said "the Father always hears me ... for I do always the things that pleases him." It is prayer the our heavenly Father's will be accomplished on earth as it is in heaven. Now, with that said, Solomon asked God to change the climate in his prayer recorded in 2 Chronicles 6. Prior to that, Abraham's failure to continue praying about Sodom caused it to become one of the hottest spots on earth. So if we want to change the climate, follow Solomon's example. But first the believer in Christ and Christ's work; God's people, MUST learn what evil really is. Then turn. TURN toward the will of God and cease from man (whose breath is in his nostrils). Some of you just might find it beneficial fasting - refraining from posting comments for a week or so and seek the favor of God as you call out for him to honor his word. DO YOU BELIEVE GOD IS ABLE TO CALL OUR NATION TO REPENTANCE as he did for Ninevah? Then the Church needs to be revived. |

Christian wrote: Wow, Jim, Americans who support Israel are actually Christians? That sounds like we're adding something to the gospel: if you support Israel, then you're a true Christian... I think it's an important point that the believers living in the midst of the Israeli people, who witness the socialist government and anti-Christian religion of Judaism, come away not convinced that these are still God's chosen people. And I agree with them. The "Israel of God" is the body of Christ, including all those Gentiles ingrafted into the remnant of Israel because of their union with Christ, the Son of Abraham. That's what Romans 11 is all about. Rightly stated. The "Israel of God" is a spiritual body called the Bride of Christ; his body flesh and bones. The flesh profit nothing. No flesh will glory in the sight of a holy God. This Israel willfully ignorant and uninformed bunch of believers that support these terrorist was created by America for a specific purpose. It is being played out everywhere and it is extremely profitable to its (Zionist) adherents. Although, we do wonder how they prosper materially; like the Mafia and Catholicism. |

Good morning to all brethren. May God richly bless you today.Corporate "worship" is priceless. The shared dynamics nourishes and strengthens each body part. Iron sharpens iron. The spirit of the Lord permeates the inward thoughts of a man and renews us. The things of earth fade away. We experience love, power, and soundness of mind rooted in reality. God commands, COMMANDS, a blessing in the unity of believers - even LIFE. He is exalted in our unity of purpose; our oneness; being equally yoked; like-minded, fulfilling this joy Christ has wrought. This gathering causes us to realize the heavenly sphere of our citizenship. He is present to heal through His word without us being aware of this happening many times. It is essential to be on one accord and assemble. It is for the glory of God: Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, for thy truth's sake. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where [is] now their God? (Psalm 115:1,2) If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, [from] doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking [thine own] words: (Isa 58:13.) Do you believe this? |

Unprofitable Servant wrote: GS, I may be in for the slaughter for this comment, but it has to do with who is currently part of the comment crowd that was not there before. We are in the 70's, may some of the warmth drift your way Hope you don't mind me asking, Just in time, why do you classify all but sister B as gullible which would mean we are easily duped or fooled? If that is true, maybe you could educate us? Thanks. If our, the Christian's, citizenship is in heaven and we are to seek those things above where Christ is seated, then how can we violate 1 John 2:16 by wanting our flesh to be fulfilled by wicked men we know nothing about? E.g. except what the media wants us to know. |
