Any dictionary will tell you a person is a human being. A human being is commonly considered a man or woman, though the unscriptural term human being is worth investigation. A man or woman is body, soul, and spirit - or do you believe otherwise? Therefore, 3 persons is equivalent to the Father (body, soul, spirit), the Son (body, soul, spirit), the Holy Spirit (body, soul, spirit). It is written: ...Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.... ...For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one... ...In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.... ...Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.... ...Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.... And the ones who change from what they call Saturday to what they call Sunday do so after study and prayer as well. So it is with other teachings. God is a confusing God because he is constantly contradicting himself!Another question, should we celebrate Jewish feasts as well? And I haven't seen an answer to the following: If there is a 7th day sabbath that is supposed to be so special, how do we know when the proper day is? When we figure that out, what exactly are we to be doing and not doing? If there is a 1st day sabbath or a "Lord's Day" that is supposed to be so special, how do we know when the proper day is? When we figure that out, what exactly are we to be doing and not doing? Oh, just a thought, I don't here any concern about obeying the remaining 6 days. From sunset to sunrise is a good answer, but how do we know when the 6th day ("Friday") of the week is? MG wrote: I grew up with Sunday and have changed to Saturday less than 18 months ago. The change was made after a lot of study, prayer and (dare I say it) courage. |
