I find this article offensive and bordering on blasphemy, suggesting that Christ experienced sickness or had to control His temper. Why has SermonAudio chosen to publish this?
I know people who already have lost their jobs because they weren't prepared to endorse the "civil ceremonies". How many more must suffer when the government tries to normalize homosexuality by condoning gay 'marriage'?
“My intent was not to compare him to Jesus.” Then why the crown of thorns?
Obama has been portrayed as a messiah-like figure by the liberal media since even before he became president. This is just further proof if any was needed, that the left wing regard him as some sort of deity that can do no wrong.
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
On the other hand, if "parent 1" and "parent 2" had voted for their "beloved leader", they'd be singing about the record level of debt their generation is now struggling to pay off and how millions of unloved babies are required to "just die".
This cheap video shows just how desperate the Obama campaign is getting.
This is a bit ridiculous. A homosexual man who is in a "relationship" that is not officially recognized by the state can adopt a child (being "single"), but a homosexual who has his "relationship" recognized by the state in a civil ceremony cannot?
There are double standards here. As much as I hate to say it, the government has to decide whether it is going to allow homosexuals to adopt, period. It's all or nothing. I wish it were nothing, but I don't think the government is going to acquiesce.
I agree with Holmse on this one. The equality law does not distinguish between the person and the act. I think unfortunately the judge will take a dim view of this one, although Christians do rightly differentiate between the sinner and their sin.
The Judge of all the earth will present His own verdict in a coming day.
They don't want people "curing" homosexuals because they don't want to admit people aren't born that way. And if it is a lifestyle choice then it can't be a "human right" that needs protecting. Plain and simple.
Adzle, I'm not saying that the Muslim god and the God of the Bible are the same God. Of course they are not. But Allah is the Arabic word for God. It's like the word "God" in English. It is a generic term to refer to a Deity, whether that Deity is real or a man-made idol. What word can they use in its place in an Arabic Bible? Malaysian Christians have been using it for at least 400 years. There is a need for accurate Bible translation in other languages that does not confuse or misrepresent who God and the Lord Jesus Christ is.
The Arabic word for God is Allah, so I'm not sure I would have such an issue with that alone. I do have a problem with them denying that Christ is the Son of God. It does not make things easier for Muslims to understand by doing this, but only adds fuel to their argument that Christians are using a corrupted Bible. Better to stick to a literal word for word translation where at all possible. And use commentaries or even footnotes where there might be confusion over certain terms.
Why is it such a strange thing with you that our society should be promoting homosexuality? Romans 1-2 makes it clear that "God gave them over to do things which are unseemly". People who reject God manufacture their own judgement, and homosexuality happens to be one of them. Homosexuality is only the symptom of a bigger problem, which is rejection of Christ as Lord.
Why is it that all these "tolerant" buffoons have to resort to threats and intimidation in order to get their view across? Is it because they are "chicken"? If they are the sole possessors of truth, why do they have to resort to personal attacks in order to defend themselves?
The only thing that is withholding the tide of judgement is the presence of faithful men and women who are serving the Lord in the midst of an ungodly nation. But it will be a different story altogether when the Lord comes and takes His people home (Gen 18:24). Then the nation will reap what it has sown.
