Thank you Michael, I wish people wouldn't say these things. It so misrepresents Jesus. He's God, he has NO need of politics!!!

Well, the Kentucky appeal is in the 6th Circuit in Cincinnati, I'm sure we all know how that will go. The majority voted to change the constitution of our Commonwealth. So much for majority rules...

Jim, I'm not sure about your sliced bread take, but I don't think the ACA is going anywhere. I also know you can't blame this on the Affordable Care act. I don't care how much you twist the facts.

Yes, if I had been in charge the last 4 to 6 years, I would be afraid to debate someone as well. Not one person in Congress has anything to brag about!!!

Well said pennned, I'm not going to get into this long laborious debate again. It's like all other issues. You are either for or against and no one can sway your opinion. I saw the side effects of my sons injections. We stopped them and he will get no more!!! It's hard to watch your son or daughter slip away and not know what to do about it. You feel so very helpless. And I'm the one that held him down so they could inject him with that stuff. I'm his father, I'm supposed to protect him. I didn't know.

Unprofitable Servant, you cracked me up, I had to go back and check and you are right. That was funny. And thanks for the kind words and I always love prayers. We foster because we felt led to do it. We have been so blessed, we felt compelled to share that with our children. You guys are awesome.

Penned, to answer your question, the State forces everyone in foster care to get vaccines. We have no choice. I have argued with social workers and it's sort of like arguing with a cow out in the field. No results. If we refuse they will close our house down and we will no longer be a foster home. They also make arrangements for the kids in care to take the flu vaccine, which is the most worthless of all vaccines. I don't know if it's particularly dangerous other than the fact the last time I checked it's still loaded with themirosol. I am sure it's like that in all states.

Chris, I'm glad that you wound up in a home with Christian parents. A side story, a couple of our kids got adopted, the family considered themselves Christian but hadn't attended church or read the bible in a very long time. The children that had been in our home explained to their adopted family that we prayed and gave thanks at every meal and before bedtime. This family ended up going back to church because of the witness of these little boys. I love that outcome.

Attachment is one of the hardest things we and our kiddos have to deal with. We had a young boy practically from birth. He was with us for 16 months. He went to an adoptive family. I haven't gotten over his leaving yet. That happened last October. It is still very emotional for me. We took this young man out of a potentially dangerous abusive situation and cared and nurtured him until he found a good home with a very bright future. It's still hard to let go...

I sort of agree with GSTexas, Dorcas, and Christopher. However, I sort of agree with Vern as well. If these kids where exposed to Christ and preached the Good News and where actually brought to a saving grace and knowledge of God, that is a good thing. We should not cross the line and be like the world to do it so much. I feel that if churches in America did a better job of maturing new Christians, then as they matured these things would become less important and God would then take over their lives.

This may be the only way some of these children will ever hear the Gospel. If we just set in Sunday service in our button downs, how will the gospel spread?

Yes Dorcas, I'm afraid you may be right. My family tends to be very large and I've always had many children in our home. We are foster parents. I work for an automotive plant in central KY. My wife is a stay at home mom. We usually have between 4 and 6 children in our home at any time. Most stay for 18 months or longer.

Just this past weekend, some of my grown children and their wives and my grandchildren showed up. My wife prepared a very good meal for all of us in just under an hour.

I honor my wife and the work she does keeping the kids together (and me). Keeping the house in order. I'm very fortunate indeed.

We always enjoy an evening meal together, every night. The children in our home become used to that and actually get a little upset when we occasionally are unable to sit and eat together. They look forward to dinner and the social happenings that take place there. It's something they have never gotten in their own homes.

I see you are practicing for the upcoming elections, Jim. Since liberals have nothing new to offer, nor can they defend their positions, they resort to the personal insult. Mike, what exactly is either party offering as good positive ideas in the upcoming election? Trickle down economics and war on one side and out of control spending and Homosexual marriage on the other. Neither choice I'm looking forward to!

John Yurich,
I wouldn't go so far as to say that "there is not one Democrat who is a Christian". That would be a lie, because my Grandparents are Democrats, and they're also Christians! You can't say somebody isn't saved just because they subscribe to a certain political party! This kind of statement is false and totally unfounded. You're hypocritical, because who's the liar now? You, because you said "there is not one democrat who is a Christian."
Thank you PursuitofTruth. My home state of Kentucky is a good example. We have a large number of Democrats that go to church, they are hard working and honest people. It's the National Party that has taken such a hard turn to the left. That is why Kentucky votes mostly Republican in the national elections. Open mindedness is a good thing.

I agree with you on this one Jim. President Obama is trying to build a consensus on ISIL. One of the many problems I have with the republican party is they want to go in with guns blazing. The sad part is none of their sons and daughters are in the lead vehicles. They are flying the friendly skies of Texas.

Even the other republican senator said during a brunch in Louisville KY President Obama is doing the right thing.
Just curious my brothers and sisters in Christ, how long would you be willing to have kept troops in Iraq? This isn't a rhetorical question, I would really like to know!!!

That's what its all about brother Barry! I'm so sorry to hear what has happened to your beloved son and will be praying for heavenly Providence and heavenly wisdom and knowledge that may be of use to your family.
Thank you penned, please don't be mistaken about my son. The Lord has blessed our family more than I can count. He truly gives good and perfect gifts and Trevor is definitely a treasure to me, my wife and family. He is so loved by many. But I have to say, no more shots. Oh, and I always appreciate the prayers.

Mike, yes the hype, it's a little ridiculous. I'm sure ebola wouldn't spread here like in Africa. With all of America's faults, we have decent water and fairly good sanitation. it's an awful disease as you rightly state. I'm just sure it wouldn't get the foot hold here as there.

Jim, sorry but pennnelopppe is exactly right, it will come out one day about the
Thimerosal and the negative effects of the MMR. Why do they insist on all the shots all at once, especially when children are born. From the very beginning they give children up to 6 to 8 shots at a time.

I've seen my perfectly developing son fade away into his own little world and lose his language and start stemming. You set there and are totally stupefied. I've done all the damage to my son that I can allow!!! Never again will he get a shot that I do not approve of.

Sorry Jim, we are on the opposite ends of the spectrum on this. If it had happened to someone you love perhaps you wouldn't be so quick to take the medical establishments word for everything, or be quite so trusting in their bought and paid for studies.

You are exactly right Penelope. Thank you for having my son's back!!!
