Well perhaps being in prison would result in this man being saved. At present he is the pastor of a very Charismatic church. That means they believe in the below among other things:
Dear Frank
Really

I don't know this pastor or what he believes or not.
But I do know enough about the "Charismatics there can be a and often is a wide range of what they believe and approve of.

Perhaps, you and I can pray for him, even that God would use him and others despite their faults for His glory and as a testimony to bring sinners to repentence and genuine faith in Christ to be saved from sin and belong forever to Him

He has taken a public stand against evil hasn't he, something quite different than merely finding fault nice and safe on the internet

Isn't this imitating "Evangelicals and Catholics Together"???
Ecumenicalism???
Does this debate boil down to who has the best arguments? or debaters?

Sometimes division is good - even necessary.

EG: Protestant versus Roman Catholic!!!
EG: Orthodox versus Liberalist!!!
2Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of."

Adriel
Yes! Thank you

As a now saved born again child of God, former, never to be again RC, it is so important for people to know the irreconciable differences between Biblical Faith in Christ and RC Religion

Dear hey_yo
I am so sorry, for you, to read your post, because despite coming across a someone very religious, you write as someone who isn't saved (isn't born again, regenerate) let alone filled with the Holy Spirit who knows God and genuinely loves His Word

This is NOT so much for "hey_yo" but for a sweet encouragement for all of you sinners, like me, now saved by the mercy and grace of God, everyone of us "who-so-evers" God has so LOVED, for whom the Holy Son of God died and rose for us to be our Salvation!

Come... and He will set you Free! (Paris Reidhead)

Murder is murder.

I feel zero conviction to argue, picket, or try to 'win them over' to salvation.

hey_yo
First sometimes Murder is NOT just Murder, it is human sacrifice to demons.

Second
Zero conviction? or do you mean "feelings"
Either way you just might have a problem

For the witness, picket outside an abortion clinic, or any other dark, dangerous and unpleasant place [to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom of the Risen Son of God, Jesus Christ] isn't for your feelings, it is for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake

as it is written:
Deliver those who are drawn toward death,
And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
If you say, “Surely we did not know this,”
Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?
Proverbs 24:11,12

And again it is written:
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Dr Tim, very well said!
Noname, God knows your name.
Dr. Tim spoke very well, didn't he

For those who prefer the NASB:

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “You shall also say to the sons of Israel:

‘Any man from the sons of Israel or from the aliens sojourning in Israel who gives any of his offspring to Molech (as a human sacrifice), shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones. I will also set My face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given some of his offspring to Molech (literally a sacrifice to a devil), so as to defile My sanctuary and to profane My holy name.

If the people of the land, however, should ever disregard that man when he gives any of his offspring to Molech, so as not to put him to death, then I Myself will set My face against that man and against his family, and I will cut off from among their people both him and all those who play the harlot after him, by playing the harlot (go whoring) after Molech.
Leviticus 20:1-5

NT application would be different but still serious

Very well said, even if the reality is so utterly and heartbreakingly evil.
Thank you for your words

It is also written: 'those who justify the wicked, and condemn the righteous both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.'

It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to know abortion is the murder of children. Why, even 10 & 12 year olds can understand this.

The antiChrst, antiGod, proabortion, pro homosexuality platform of the Democratic Party you love is evil and wicked to the core

Abortion is a major Gospel issue whether you like it or not (yes, not the only Gospel issue, just one of such major importance you will neglect to your own hurt and that of everyone and everything near and dear to you - Lev 20:1-5; Prov 11, 12)

Watch the movie, Babies are Still Murdered Here (@ this time it can be found on YouTube)

Watch it again with much prayer and Bible study untill God's will and wisdom are part of you

Insist your Pastor and those in your church's leadership watch it, and if they blow it off, taking a public stand against abortion, remember it is a Gospel issue, leave, such "leaders do err and those who are led by them are destroyed" Isa 9:16

Pastors, insist those in your pews watch it and/or show it to your church. Have serious prayer meetings of repentane and confession of sin, rend your hearts for the lost, seek God's will and do it, refuse to pretend church

Dear Lady
Your post touched me deeply and got me praying and thinking.

Let me ask you, what were you meetings like before Covid?

Did you all experience the Holy Presence and Power of the Spirit? Where you seeing sinners thoroughly saved from sin with no doubt they had been changed by God and for God? Was your church salt and light in your community standing for the Truth against evil.

I think probably not... extremely few if any in the US are

So, let me plead with you and all of us to pray deeper than asking Covid go away so we can go back to church as usual

Please fervantly pray for Revial

And for encouagement, 'Blessed is the one who hungers and thirsts for Righteousness, in this case and time, a true sovereign work of God's grace and mercy.'

We can get a taste of what it is in the testimknies of the eye witness accounts of the Revival on the Isle of Lewis (Mary Peckham & Duncan Campbell, here on SermonAudio)

Grace and Mercy to you, and everyone you love and care about who God will save in bringing us to pray His will be done

Moralistic Therapeutic Theism.
“As described by Smith and his team, Moralistic Therapeutic Deism consists of beliefs like these: 1. "A god exists who created and ordered the world and watches over human life on earth." 2. "God wants people to be good, nice, and fair to each other, as taught in the Bible and by most world religions." 3. "The central goal of life is to be happy and to feel good about oneself." 4. "God does not need to be particularly involved in one's life except when God is needed to resolve a problem." 5. "Good people go to heaven when they die."
I believe that cultural Christianity is the true nemesis of the genuine faith. And I believe that the vast majority in the U.S., have the above thoughts. They just use the name of Christ; instead of Buddha or Allah because of the culture they were raised in.
Frank
Thanks for the reminder of MTD...if memory serves Smith is a RC

Little difference imho Babylon aka RCC ecumenism is the real threat

Biden will pick the one who has been assigned to him to pick. Anyone think the Dems actually want him in the White House? They are letting him run because he still has an air of moderation. It's only an air, but the rest don't even have that, without which they cannot hope to win.
The one picked for him? Would that be a malicious Jezebel in the most ungodly sense of the word?

Mr. Lincoln, stop making light of Scripture! That's a dangerous thing to do. Psalm 138:2 says," I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name." Don't disrespect God's word!
Nick, this is way off topic
In 1980 before I was saved when I was just beginning to read the Bible for myself, I read they very verse you quoted Jim

For me it was a MAJOR part of God bringing me to repent and put my faith in Jesus Christ as real, the Son of God, my Lord who died and rose again to save me from my sins, and Yes worthy of arrest, imprisonment and death.

Thank you for the reminder it is a blessing to me

it might be safe to say
Satan hates martyrs
As they validate faith in Jesus Christ
By observation
Better to assinate them
Especially if he can get those who profess to believe to do it for him

If Grace Community Church is not strong and obedient in their faith expect the attack to come on them so they refuse to have their pastor's back and throw him under the bus of Satan's lies To be falsely discredited by his own people

Well said brother! The antichrist will need the support of women and since I believe the Vatican is the great whore in Revelations, this doesn't surprise me.
I remember as a youth praying to Mary so she would tell her son to do what I asked. They taught that no son would refuse his mother's request. They have always supported praying to Mary and others the popes have designated as saints. So this doesn't surprise me.
just a brief interesting side note
if memory serves me Muslims have an affection for "Mary" the perpetual virgin of RC False/Fanciful Religion

Just saying its interesting how the pieces seem to fall and fit together

BMc, I concur fully with JUK’s assessment of your post.
Dr. Tim
Some sound and encouraging posts
I am reminded this am of:

Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’

And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other;

for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Luke 18:9-14

Don't you just love Jesus! In Him we are So Forgiven and bear no condemnation even though we would have so deserved it. Time for a song!
