""There is a witch hunt against Christians and it is time it stopped. Churches pioneered bedside care for the sick and education for the disadvantaged. Now they are being squeezed out by the 'tolerance intelligentsia' who tolerate anything as long as it is not Christianity." Lets face the facts. These are unusual days for Christians. During the last decades we observed the church decline alongside the moral standards decline. Now we see the more open and public attacks upon all things Christian, whether by politicians or bureaucrats, the increase is very real. The Liberal politically correct agenda to attack God's witness, Scripture law and doctrine is gaining momentum as month follows month. All western nations are revealing Satan, lust and covetousness taking over the society and its institutions. What does this tell us today? "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Eph 6.12 |

""Saint Johanna", as she has come to be known, has been propelled from the social affairs ministry – which she has presided over for a decade – to take centre stage in a choice hailed as "unexpected but brilliant"." From social affairs to PM? Good politics? They obviously don't know what a saint is. As for her sexual fiction? It's in company with the worst possible end. Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. |

Q#1 "58 million Americans voted for the other guy."Thats good to remember! Q#2 "Jan. 20 has turned into a schlock inauguration, (where) every last moocher has come to cash in on Obama," I had to look up the word so... (Dictionary). = Schlock - 1. Also, schlocky. cheap; trashy: a schlock store. –noun 2. something of cheap or inferior quality; junk. "Trashy and inferior." Isn't politics such a friendly and unhostile community interaction. But one thing is for sure Obama is planting a seed of much discontent in America, (and perhaps further afield), which is going to grow over the next few years. And this is only the beginning!! This seed is going to transcend the bounds of politics. God be with America! |

Jim Lincoln wrote: However, prayers of non-believers are not listened to, Gil Rugh wrote: ....The prayers of unbelievers are repulsive to God. “He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, even his prayer is an abomination” (Prov. 28:9). God is saying that the prayers of those who refuse to hear what He says in His Word are repulsive to Him. Their prayers are an abomination. They are really saying they will not listen to what God says or submit themselves to Him, but they want to come into His presence and tell Him what they want. God simply says that there is no access for people who reject His Word. Yes Jim. It is denying the Lord again isn't it."If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we DENY him, *HE ALSO* will DENY us:" "Having a form of godliness, but DENYING the power thereof: from such turn away." "They profess that they know God; but in works they DENY him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate." Like our nations today who deny Christ in their politics, legislation, education, justice and institutions; - Will God bless those who reject HIM? |

Smoky Mtn girl wrote: Good rebuttal. However, I would take issue with the "reform" position. I think "transform" is more representative of what Jesus came to do. "Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." As to Jesus sending a sword and not peace - I would remind you of the verse that says, "He makes even a man's enemies to be at peace with him." Jesus was not "one dimensional" as some would present. He was a complex individual. Aren't we all? But, still, I like your rebuttal. Thankyou Smoky Mtn Girl. I'm impressed. The "enemies/peace" verse I can't fine although it may be under different wording. But of course we are called to love our enemies. Here is a couple of Jesus other "peace" verses. Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. I suppose it all boils down to the fact that we are strangers here and like the Lord we too will be persecuted. But thats no excuse for not demonstrating the love of God in us. GOD be with you. |

Smoky Mtn girl wrote: Christians are to be salt and light in the world - not activists. Too much salt makes food inedible. Too much light hurts the eyes. We are to be a fragrant aroma of the Lord Jesus Christ. Too strong an aroma makes one turn away. We are to dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Jesus did not seek to reform the system. He submitted to the laws of land. He went about doing good, not being a political activist. I think we have given the world reason to hate us, instead of giving them reason to wonder at "the love we have for one another." The "salt" which God provides and uses as an instrument in His disciples cannot turn the Remnant away from HIM.The "light" which God provides never blinds any one. It is the Truth of God in Love. The "fragrant aroma" of Christ is never so strong as to be repugnant to the saved. We dwell in the land to be HIS witness not ours, as to mortals "cultivating" any aspect of faith - Faith is the gift of God. Jesus did "reform" what He found the Pharisees teaching. Man's religion always requires the reforming influence of Christ and His Spirit. HE "went about" preaching His Fathers Word and Law. Jesus came to send a sword - NOT peace. HIS words Matt 10:34. |

"..... to be the next secretary of the Navy - a move that would put the first openly gay person at the top of one of the services."Its a bit like saying, "can the next secretary be a sinner?" However the real problem in todays society is that the Bible is being ditched to worship man and his evil culture. If they can make a sodomite a bishop in church, - then a secular job with a sodomite in it is nothing. Romans 1:: 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. But they will go to hell for these abominations. |

"A LEADING Kirk minister has said conducting funerals for non-believers is a time-wasting burden on the church and that non-religious services should be provided by the state."Praying, singing hymns and so on at the dead is a Roman Catholic custom anyway. A Protestant church such as the C of S should not be doing it. But of course the C of S. is no longer a Reformed Church is it. Too much Liberalism made the Kirk a modernist eraser of Bible verses. "And because the custom of kneeling down, and praying by or towards the dead corpse, and other such usages, in the place where it lies before it be carried to burial, are superstitious; and for that praying, reading, and singing, both in going to and at the grave, have been grossly abused, are no way beneficial to the dead, and have proved many ways hurtful to the living; therefore let all such things be laid aside" (Dir. of Publick Worship 1645) |

Sadly the Non-Believer cannot perceive what exactly life is. Those who accept the alternative and arrange their own suicide will continue to live - but in eternal damnation. Their eternal suffering will be much, much worse than the pain and trials of life in the flesh. We must preach hell and damnation to a lost world.Deut 30:19 "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore CHOOSE LIFE, that both thou and thy seed may live: 20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: FOR HE IS THY LIFE, and the LENGTH OF THY DAYS: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them." Acts 17:24 GOD that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing HE GIVETH TO ALL LIFE, and BREATH, and ALL things" |

"The head of a leading abortion provider has admitted that the embryo is a human life but says its value is “relative” to the wishes of its mother. Ann Furedi, the Chief Executive of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), made her comments during a debate in Oxford last month. The question, Mrs Furedi argued, was “not, when does human life begin? but, when does it really begin to matter?”."Adolf Hitler would have been very proud of this woman and her standards. But the Law of God states. Psalm 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. |

"The move threatens the fragile unity of the Anglican Communion, the world’s third-largest Christian body, made up of 38 provinces around the world that trace their roots to the Church of England and its spiritual leader, the Archbishop of Canterbury." Poor old Rowan! It is sad that those practicing the religion of Liberalism can't see the truth in Scripture and like the Pharisees, are heading for hell. Actually we have all been waiting for the "big split" in the entire Anglican communion for years. Worldwide not just locally. Question - If you follow a blind guide, where will you end up? Matt 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. |

"high scores such as Britain’s may be linked to the way society is increasingly willing to accept sexual promiscuity among women as well as men. They also believe that, among certain age groups and at certain times, men and women are equally LIBERAL." "Schmitt said that in more LIBERAL countries such as Britain women may even be becoming more promiscuous than men." There is that word again "LIBERAL" The plague of society and western nations is the religion which replaced Christianity - LIBERALISM. I guess Britain wins the title - United Kingdom of Sodom and Gomorrah. Looks like taking women into the workforce, putting trousers on them and destroying motherhood and family, has increased iniquity, and strengthened the carnal nature. Prov 29:16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall Psalm 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted |
