Mike wrote: .. the Titus verse means older, as in years. We might assume there to be a maturity that derives from aging,... These are not maturity levels, but years. Titus has been instructed to speak to them all "of the things which become sound doctrine." I have an honest inquiry Mike. In 1 Tim 5 Paul gives an age of three score; for an older widow and the reason for so doing. Do you think Titus was thinking about a cut off age as well? or being less specific? Can I infer that your reference to Titus in quotes at the end "of things which become sound doctrine" also had a purpose? Were you differentiating between the two kinds of instruction that of aged women verses the ordained ministry of Titus? |

The article said: "Moe told me that didn’t bother her. She was happy to embrace the contradiction" She won't be for long if she is really a Christian, otherwise she probably is a hybrid. Also,it stated "Our congregation has made a decision to engage with people creating hybrid identities out of Judaism and other sources... Over the doors of our building, are etched the words of the prophet Isaiah: “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all people” (Isaiah 56:7). We take this seriously. So do I, and he has rent the Scripture, as so many do, for political or ecclesiastical correctness. Paul addresses this in Ephes. 2 and Romans 11. Christ and truth is not subtracted, in either of Paul's arguments. When the Jews he longed for, and acknowledged as a nation and culture, come to Christ in greater numbers by believing the Old and New Testaments, then the Church will be in better condition, then heretofore. But our confused elder sister is not safe to follow at this time, though she may be brought to jealousy once the Church in heaven has a public testimony again in her posterity's restored zeal and obedience to the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus, which is the Spirit of prophecy.
