No it was not.. doctrine is what each church's interpertation of the scriptures are. Baptist immerge..Methodist sprinkle..Church of Christ the water washes sin away and no musical instruments allowed in worship...Pentecost speaking in tongues, gifts of the Spirit still used today..Catholics who knows what all they believe. All, I know is where I am spiritually and like the song says,"I know in whom I believeth and that He is able to keep that which I have commited unto Him against that day"..Here's some good advice ; We've been called to be witnesses, not lawyers or Judges..God Himself doesn't propose to judge a man until he is dead. So why should you? Be ye fishers of men. You catch'em- He'll clean them. Maybe you see things differently than me..that is fine with me, I will love you all the more.  |

I refuse to argue or debate on theology ,here on this forum..I am friends with Jews, Catholics, Penetecost, rich people, poor people, gays, Methodist, Presbyterian and Church of Christ. You see I went to Bible Study Fellowship for 10 yrs. And it was interdenomational..I might be in a class with Catholics, Church of Christ, a Mennonite and it was all women( had classes for children ) and classes for men at night. No doctrine was allowed to be discussed, only the Bible that had been read the week before and that was a chapter a week. You could actually feel the Spirit in each woman and the true love of God could be felt. Even now I cannot argue about doctrine because I saw God's love in each one of these woman and our leader also. |

What's the reason we still hear about Martiin Luther, Billy Sunday, Jonathan Edwards, CH Spurgeon.( one of my favorites ), Oswalt Chambers ,another favorite, Dwight L. Moody, Amy Carmichael and many more..why are they still remembered and their wriitings still around and still a blessing to read..because of the media?!! God raised them up in a time that He meant for them to be raised up, for His own reasons. So he eats with rich people who may or may not be saved, so did Jesus." Jesus has always sought out sinners, called them to Himself, and redeemed all who respond. The Bible says," Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more"( Romans 5:20). Zacchaeus was a corrupt tax collector notorious for abusing his authority and cheating on a grand scale, someone we might call a white collar crimnal. Jesus took notice of him, loved him, and decided to go to his house for a visit. We don't havve a record of their heart- to- heart conversations,but we do know that Zacchaeus responded in open repentance and faith. Then and there, Jesus announced his salvation."
