I think John's point is that unemployment in and of itself isn't anymore a catalyst to sin than anything else. The Pope, Obama and other socialists pretend that jobs are entitlements.
Sin is a natural condition for the natural man but is not excusable. Believers will not continue in sin as (the Bible's) John says in his epistles.

I wouldn't put so much of the blame on the devil, besides I think the devil is influenced by Obama.

Paul's instruction regarding women's speech and teaching in 1 Cor 14 and 1 Tim 2 are applicable directly to Christian women, believing women. However, if the quotations in this article are true, Paul's admonitions about wolves in sheep's clothing, and those who bring another gospel (Galatians) are more appropriate.

This is a very sad report. The new president at Calvin discusses his struggle with how to minister to the 'Christian' homosexual and lesbian students there without hurting their feelings, to which one astute commenter, with whom I fully agree wrote, "USUALLY, BUT NOT ALWAYS, when someone says they are "struggling" with something that something is winning the struggle. I thought of this when I read President LeRoy on the homosexual issue. And I wondered... Let's say there was a group at Calvin College and it was known that they were unrepentant murderers. Would President LeRoy say "they are Christians," that they are trying to figure out what being murderers means, how "Christian" murderers should live, blah, blah, blah? Would he meet with them? And would it break his heart and would he worry about their "feelings" to have to tell them murder was wrong, and a sin and they must repent of that sin? "
This college desperately needs to change its name - "Ichabod" seems most fitting.

What "some other Christians" say, is irrelevant, when Scripture says otherwise, i.e. "Do unto others ..." (Mt.7:12), "rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man" (Eph.6:7). 1Pet. 2:19-21 referring to suffering for doing what's right is especially relevant.
The shop owners did the right thing.

John Yurich USA wrote:
You stated that a Christian florist, photographer or baker would not provide wilted flowers, leave the lens cap on the camera or bake a cake that tastes awful for a homosexual wedding? Well where do you think I got that idea from? I got from some other Christians who stated on comments on another website the same thing I stated.

God's word on the environment is to subdue the earth and have dominion over it (Gen. 1:28) and not to worship it (Rom. 1:25). Current day environmentalism appears to be more a guise for worshiping the creature rather than the Creator.

"For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, ... Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, ... And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done."

-- From Romans 1:21-28
