Thanks for the links about the lineage of Mary DC, I will look into them.

A point here is, original sin comes into question really...we are supposed according to Paul, ( not Jesus however, at least I dont recall him mentioning original sin, correct me otherwise)
have indeed inherited a sinful nature.

However, it is possible Mary never sinned but of course this is what RCC doctrine teaches...all supposition.

I believe and agree also that God was perfectly able to protect the Davidic lineage for this specific purpose.
The Messiah would be born from the "seed of David" Human seed therefore.

YES Islam IS the biggest threat to our way of life here in the West..what are they thinking of in multi-culti land? Are they looking forward to their wives and daughters in burquas, because thats what they will have ( I have a sneaky suspicion .....!)

Sounds like sense DCJ. What I do not understand is that therefore Mary and not only Joseph (as his genetics did not affect Jesus) must have been from the House of David. We are not informed of this specifically though in Scripture are we ?

Very true Max. God can and has used women, many of them in the past and especially in The Bible ! Their roles may be different than those of mens but nevertheless of great importance.
I very much doubt though that anyone will save America or the "free west" until there is a massive repentance, not being called for by the impotent "all is well" big preachers of the moment who are too obsessed with asking for money and promising prosperity to all who give to them !
I fear, if God uses anything for a time such as this it will be recession. People stripped of all they know and trust (money) may turn back to God.
Hopefully it will not come to that, but prayer needed now urgently for a call to repentance and a change of lifestyle and focus.

PaulB: I am not necessarily referring to McCain as I am to the main parties..either dems or rep. So you cannot
find any "evil" in both parties?
After all Bush has done how could you possibly vote Rep? Or do you believe McCain to be any different?Both parties lie and they are both puppets of the NWO.

Lets not forget that women were to be ruled by their husbands as part of the Genesis curse which Jesus came to rectify.
(however the pain in childbirth bit has not been reversed !!!)
Apart from all this debate, I cannot understand Palin desiring the vice-presidency under McCain. What is she going to do when he most likely lifts the ban on partial-birth abortion etc? She cannot agree according to her own principals and this would not be the only issue either that would compromise her beliefs.

Faithful remnant, I agree .
Such a shame pentacostalism has often blighted Christianity with its at times, strange doctrines. Unbelievers are just not impressed. But they are unimpressed with most denominations and unfortunately cannot get past their negativity to see the positivity. The "blinding" maybe as prophesised in Scripture?
Indeed, however,no newspaper would mock the muslim faith especially - too much chance of having ones' throat slit for a start and
no Christian (or Jew either) is likely to resort to such after all, so it's "safe" ! -

I used to believe in "choosing the lesser of the two evils" until to my shock I realised I was still choosing "evil"!
And really out of fear of the "worse evil" winning.! We must not fear as Christians, because God is ultimately in control.(Jesus said: "All power has been given to me in heaven and on earth"-Matt.28:18 )
Maybe If we followed our hearts through prayer, and voted as led,God will step in, but I dont see how He can when we choose "evil"?!Surely we then compromise our integrity doing so?
Who would God choose? Never Obama or McCain is my guess!

Not being a scholar of Greek and Hebrew,or a theologian I find it difficult to form any opinions as to what Bible translation is the "best" or closest to the original manuscripts.

I was though, disturbed when I heard there are indications King James was a freemason and possibly a homosexual.I have not read through all this thread so I am unaware if this has been addressed as yet, if not has anyone else heard about this?

Just goes to show how wrong the "Christian music business" is.This is another blight on this industry. Give me that "old-time religion" any day.!

I don't recall any of the hymn writers (many of them were anonymous ) being awarded Grammy's and suchlike,and they wrote mainly about God and not us as the modern songs do- it(Christian music industry) is quite simply an off-shoot of mammon, but it took me a long and painful time to see this.

The news at the time of the custody-taking of the children, mentioned all over the place about the leader being in prison for sexual abuse/rape etc. Cnn for instance as far as I remember..and other sites. It should not be too difficult to find info. on that though if you need other sources.

Vigilante, you forget that the "leader" of this polygamist sect is in prison for sexual abuse- crimes ! Does that not tell us something about this sect?
Polygamy is an abuse in itself-against women- it is against the law, period and should have been stopped a long time ago.
I am not happy that the children were separated from their mothers however.
