GG, Answer this for me, the priest in my hometown is a homosexual, it is a known fact. As a matter of fact, I saw him and his lover walking their dogs last night. Now, with that said, how can such a sinful man who is blatantly disobedient to God's word make 'holy' bread and wine? This man is defiled, yet according to your church doctrine, your sacred tradition, he can turn bread and wine into a holy 'replica' of our risen Lord...how hypocritical is that? To ridicule the finished work of Christ on the cross at the hands of homosexual priests is just another means of bringing condemnation upon the RCC, not to mention making 'idols' out of bread and wine, substituting them for Christ is not biblical. Salvation doesn't come through the Eucharist, it comes through repenting of your sins, and being born again. A true believer is changed, transformed, and others around take notice. How sad for you, to cling to sacred tradition and be blinded to the Christ found in the holy scriptures. |

It is time for true born again believers to warn lost sinners to repent. When we see devastating earthquakes, cyclones, tornadoes and such, we know God's wrath is being unleashed on sinful mankind. Yes, we have always had these things, but the frequency and intensity is the key {Mat. 24:8}. We waste time by arguing over who has the correct bible version, the proper exegesis of scripture, c. vs. a, and on and on and on. Meanwhile, this world is spiraling out of control, and the body of Christ is oblivious to it all. The mayor of San Francisco made a chilling statement, 'as California goes, so goes the nation'. Sadly, he is more accurate than we care to admit. I urge all true born again believers to not waste time here arguing the lesser things of scripture, and be about the Lord's business. We must proclaim the gospel and stop this nonsense of arguing amongst ourselves. Obedience to our Lord is essential, and we will be held accountable for how we spend our time, and how we treat the brethren. |

JD, How dare you accuse me of bragging over what a great work the Lord has done in me! You claim to have such 'head knowledge', yet you are void of spiritual power. What Christ did in me should be told, for it is HIS mighty work to save the worst of sinners that warrants telling. 'They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me'. It is a sad day when so-called 'Christians' start belittling each other for giving their testimony. DEREK: I don't ride any circuit, again, your arrogance and criticism concerning what my Lord has done is shameful. Paul made known how he persecuted the followers of Christ, he hunted them down. He said he was the worst of sinners, realizing that his condition was horrific, and Christ saved him from such. This is another amazing testimony to which God receives ALL honor and glory. May God have mercy on the arrogant who lash out at His children. I will stick with real Christian websites in the future, this one is riddled with hypocrites. |

Lance- you need to study the teaching of Christ on what happens when one dies, Luke 16:19-31, the unregenerate sinner, in this case the rich man, dies and goes to Hades. The poor man dies and goes directly to the bosom of Abraham {an expression used in the Talmud as a figure for heaven}. Another example is the thief on the cross, Christ specifically tells him, "Today you will be with me in paradise". In Revelation 20:13, 'the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them.' There is no mention of 'with the exception of those who were bailed out by family'. When you die, your soul either goes to be with the Lord, {Only if you are born again according to GOD'S word, not any church doctrine}, or to the 'place of the dead' until the great white throne judgment. There's no 'holding tank' for those hung up in limbo while one bargains for their final destination. Perhaps the RCC could print up some 'get out of Purgatory free' cards to send along with lost loved ones. |

Christian; It is important to saturate yourself in prayer, and absorb the word like a sponge. Also, stay away from old habits, friends, t.v. programs, etc. that trigger impulses to lead you astray. This is essential, especially if you are struggling. Reading the Old Testament gave me a clearer picture on God's hatred of sin, and a deeper understanding of His character. Pray asking God to give you a heart that desires to please Him, hungers for Him, and craves the word. When I prayed about giving up smoking, it took several months, but finally God broke me of that habit. It got to the point where I would cry whenever I lit up, and I realized it wasn't worth it. God will help you, trust Him, lean on Him, and allow Him to show you, through His word, just how much He loves you and cares. God knows your heart, and is willing to work a mighty work in any heart that desires such. I will pray for you, and ask others to do the same. |

JD, so are you saying repentance isn't necessary for salvation? What do you do with Matt. 4:17, and Luke 13:3, as well as Acts 17:30? As for me not being in your company, I am grateful. God has done an amazing work in my life, taking me from a drunken homosexual to a born again Christian. When I gave my testimony, people cried, then stood up and applauded when I was finished; this is the power of a transformed life brought about by confessing my filth to the Lord, leaving it behind and following Christ with all my heart. You have no right to constantly attack others who disagree with your 'views' on scripture. I know firsthand the power of God, and you will never convince me, or most others for that matter, that you have the market cornered on God's word. Your arrogance and argumentative spirit is unbiblical; fyi, I repented and was born again, in rapid succession, and I know what Christ has done for me. Those who have truly been saved will understand fully what I am saying. I love to quote Pastor Paul Washer,'we have a bunch of little boys who are great theologians, but where is the power of God's Holy Spirit?' |

There are Old Testament prophecies yet to be filled concerning the nation Israel, for instance, Jeremiah 30-33, Ezekiel 36-37, 40-48, Isaiah 2:11-12, Joel 2. I support a pre-trib-pre-mil view of these prophecies and expect a literal catching away of believers as well as a literal return of Jesus Christ. I think it is a waste of time to try and sway people with my views, scripture isn't clear on the exact time of the catching away of the believers or the return of Christ. Christ himself warns repeatedly to watch and pray- [yes, there are signs and indicators of His imminent return] that is really what's important. To call names or get angry when someone opposes your view is not what we should be doing. Let's not over-complicate what should be so simple a child could understand, and let's remember to proclaim the gospel to a lost and dying world; not arguing who is a theological wiz. To those who oppose my view, God bless you anyway!!! |

In reference to Revelation 1:10, the phrase 'Lord's Day appears in many early Christian writings and is a reference to Sunday, the day of the Lord's resurrection. Some believe this is a link to the 'Day of the Lord', but the context does not support such. The grammatical form of the word 'Lord', is adjectival, thus, the 'Lord's Day'. The "Day of the Lord is referred to several times in the old testament, for example, Isaiah 2:12, Joel 1:15, Mal. 4:5; and appears 4 times in the New Testament,{Acts 2:20, 1 Thess. 5:2, 2 Thess. 2:2, 2 Peter 3:10}. This phrase is used in connection to a time of God's wrath. Acts 20:7 is a reference to the Lord's day; there is a difference between the Lord's Day and the Day of the Lord. If this were a ref. to wrath, how could John be in the middle of it? And then go on to write the letters to the seven churches? If John were involved in this final wrath, there would have been no need to finish the book of Revelation. It would have been over before it even got started!! |
