This is a sad fact, but the saddest thing is that suicide does not end the anguish. That is a lie of evolutionists, who will not acknowledge that 'after death, the judgment'. What actually happens is....

....out of the frying pan into the fire.

"Prepare to meet thy God".

There can be no doubt that the verb 'prostitute' can refer to more than the usual. There are some references in the Bible, for example to go 'a whoring'. We might prefer the term committing 'spiritual adultery'.

But for sure, anyone seeking financial gain through a specific unworthy method, that is, unworthy of respect, can be described as prostituting himself or herself, as the dictionaries describe it as a secondary meaning of the word.

Quite right, Franklin Graham. You tell it like it is. And I hope the Lord protects you, and I hope the president listens to what you have to say.

What a time to be alive in. How does God continue to bless any nation, when all have abandoned Him, save for a remnant?
It's a good question, Christopher, and I don't have an answer. But I do believe that we Christians will be caught up in the judgments of God upon ungodliness, and have to go through much tribulation. He sends rain and sun on both the righteous and the unrighteous by his grace (towards them both). But when grace is removed (from the unrighteous), his justice will fall upon nations irrespective of the righteous and the unrighteous, so that floods, for example will badly affect all men, and excessive temperatures and wildfires will badly affect all men.

But remember that God can inwardly bless his people, so that they remain at peace, as they look forward to the great day of final redemption.

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads: for your redemption draweth near." Luke 21:28 GNV

Good morning John,
The kids on that episode was a tragic thing. Certainly not indicative of American preaching, overall, but they're out there, for sure, and it's pretty disturbing. These kids are touted as powerful, and anointed preachers, and why, exactly...because they scream scripture? What a cruel thing it is that their parents, Pastor fathers, and those who otherwise encourage them, who all claim to be born again Christians, would allow them to believe that they are anointed from on high, and sent to a fallen world to spark revival, and a call to repentance.
Scream scripture, pound things, and use plenty of body english, and you're a powerful preacher, who everyone raises their hands to, saying, "Yes Lord! Yes Jesus! Hallelujah! Preach it, preacher! Ohhhh glory...yes Lord!"
I'm not talking about just anyone who gets excited about God's Word, because everyone's styles are unique, but rather, the screamers who chose their own calling, and have no business preaching...especially children who know nothing.
On the button, Christopher. Do the charlatans imagine that God does not see their acting?

As you say, nothing wrong with passionate, genuine preaching.

TLC is over 10 years old but always reminds me of that little lad on Oprah's show that I was talking with Christopher about, who couldn't even expound a scripture he was bellowing out. That lad spoke in all caps as well, and never did anyone any good.

I would like to see every person in the UMC leave that religious group and do something else. That would be one denomination down, only another 49,999 to go.

I met a group of Chinese Christians in the church at Rugby, England in the 80's and they were quite delightful young people.

[Our congregations must be ready for the possibility of deeply disturbed individuals in our midst. ...]

Let's see now, something to do with total depravity, unregenerate nature, the flesh, the sinful nature, the old man?

Surely not...

Are there none that doeth good?

It's a first for Burkina Faso, but not a last. And still, the governments of the world will keep saying, "Muslims are okay, they are fine, they are peaceable, we welcome them."

Aye Aye, QC. Whether it be the passover lamb or the passover Lamb, it is the blood that makes atonement, the shed blood of the incarnate God, who took both flesh and blood to himself.

Amen Fellow Pilgrim. Like you, I am also a stranger and a pilgrim, and I really wish I deserved those titles. Maybe one day.....

Oh, you think Europe is secular? How about this, then. I've lived in Europe for over sixty years, and I'm still waiting for the day when a Christian offers me a tract as I walk down the road. I don't think the word secular is really strong enough.

Yes brother, I pray the same thing will happen.
This is so easy for an old man to comment on rather than someone who is in the workforce. IOW, what would any of us do, if our livelihood was on the line in these situations? I sometimes think of all the millions of Christian martyrs that have lived and given not only their livelihoods up for the gospel, but their lives and families as well.
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Of course, scripture would say this was a test of our loyalties and I’m sure most of us would do the right thing and say: NO.
Does the same type of things happen where you live?
I've not heard of it locally bro, but then I don't read newspapers normally.

Your post reminded me of William Carey who lost his first wife to illness, and later on one of his young sons, also to illness, after he moved to India under obedience to the Lord, as a Reformed Baptist missionary.

I like Acts 5:29

Statistics - who needs 'em?

The whole Bible's Great Theme is that of Redemption by Blood. The Crimson Thread runs all the way through from Genesis to Revelation.

If you don't know the person sitting in the pew next to you, there is something wrong with both structure and level of fellowship.
