“ Great Sermon! ”
Excellent program, particularly near the end regarding the call and the challenge to repent of unbiblical perspectives of marriage, money, and everything else. There is no question that being delivered from sin by God through Jesus Christ changes EVERYTHING. As II Corinthians 5:17 says: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new." May God bless you and strengthen you to continue the good work of Generations Radio on His behalf!

Thank you for this comment. I used to listen to Hank Hanegraaf (please pardon any misspelling), but stopped in large part because of comments like this that I have heard him make.

I appreciate this program, particularly the point about early or young marriage for young men. This needs to be taught much more often in churches. If they remain single too long, it is practically guaranteed that some type of sexual sin will occur, and the consequences of violating God's law will inevitably surface in their later marriage.

Tattoos have personally always struck me as gross-looking and unladylike, but I don't think they look appealing on anyone.

I have to wonder if verses like Leviticus 19:28 draw people to want tattoos. Sadly, it would certainly seem so.

How sad that people embrace desolation and the dying out of family lines. It may take awhile, but the fruit of this mentality (or lack thereof) will surely surface.

We truly are "amused to death" in today's culture. It is exceedingly difficult to escape from entertainment; it's sad when the church is dishing out the same escapism as the world.

As for this "pastor's" description of church, I think it is more befitting of the "music" of Katy Perry and Maroon 5.

As one of the SA broadcasters (Kevin Swanson) often says, it takes a lot of faith and trust in God to have and raise children. Many people, by their words, stances, and actions, simply choose not to do so.

From the article: "The church’s beliefs were too much for one 'youth worker' at the center, Saul Day, who took the announcement down from the church’s bulletin board.

"Day wrote to the local newspaper, The Shetland Times, expressing outrage.

'Say, hypothetically, that there is a young youth club member belonging to the LGBT community. Say, for instance, this particular young person is finding it difficult to accept who they are, or is finding the social challenges that are often associated with a young person ‘coming out’ difficult to cope with,' he wrote. 'What if they, curiously, like I, were to pick up one of these petitions? What frame of mind would this produce as a result of reading it? How would they react, and what emotions would be resonated?'''

This fits with the blinding of the mind of unbelievers by the god of this world (II Cor. 4:4). Never mind God's truth. It's all about how something makes him "feel" and the possibility of offense. God's truth trumps feelings.

There is no such thing as an Athiest. They label themselves as such, out of unbridled hatred for a God that they know exists, but nobody truly lives up to the label. The Bible says that they are simply being willfully ignorant, so they are just making a conscious choice to deny Him, making life easier and much more exciting for the flesh. Nobody to answer to, no guilt, no repercussions.
Good comment. They are in for a very rude awakening upon entering eternity. I think, if they care to be honest with themselves (which they likely don't), that they truly fear what lies beyond
this life and that they are accountable to God. As I've heard it said, if you're constantly denying something, you're probably afraid that it actually exists.

Sad to say, but there is no fool like an old fool. "The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God."

May our Lord be gracious and deliver Mr. Attenborough from his sin before it is too late. All of us are but one step away from eternity.

"Remarriage" is adultery and therefore sin (Mark 10:11-12; Luke 16:18). Adulterers can be forgiven, but, as is the case with all other sinners, that forgiveness is conditioned upon repentance (Proverbs 28:13).

Most pastors are too cowardly to preach this Biblical truth. The proliferation of false Bible "translations" further confuses the matter, but God's Word is clear. It is unloving to withhold the truth from divorcees and those who "remarry." Yes, it should be spoken in love, of course, but it must be spoken nonetheless.

Anne, I second Barry's comment. Your remarks blessed me as well, particularly this section:

"Churches without kids are dead churches. Churches with people who show a lack of understanding on what comprises a 'church family' are just dying slowly."

I really feel for those who end up childless because they've been deceived by the god of this world into thinking that life is all about making as much money as you can and supposedly winning if you die with the most toys (cf. Matt. 6:24; Luke 6:13-21; I Tim. 6:10). Familial relationships have a way of teaching us what is truly important, and they often purge and refine us like nothing else, making us more Christlike in the process. It's sometimes painful, and not always easy, but it's nonetheless a blessing.

“ Excellent Program! ”
Great points in regard to a man and a woman finding their God-given identities within marriage(leader, protector, and provider for the husband and helpmeet who guides and keeps the house for the wife) as well as love always involving sacrifice. Matthew 10:39 - "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." Amen.

Only God can deliver these people from their blindness. Telling someone the Biblical truth about sodomy and both its temporal and eternal consequences is in fact the most loving action one can exercise toward a sodomite. Not telling the Biblical truth is unloving. People are often too fearful of offense, hurt feelings, rifts, etc., to share the gospel. But God is The One to be feared, not man.
