lance, your comment, 'in catholicism it's called baptism of desire', where would I find this in the authoritative word of God? What passage of scripture teaches one gets into heaven because they desire such? There's only one way, the narrow way. That is why many will not enter, they refuse to accept this exclusive way found only in the bible, nothing added. Until you are willing to accept God's word as the ONLY authoritative source, you will come up short. Your refusal to listen to those outside your beloved church will cost you dearly, it will be one of the many things that will haunt you through all eternity. Many have given you the truth, such as Micheal Hranek, but you reject it as a 'prot' view, even though everything said can be found in God's word. When what is posted is backed with scripture, it does not make the posting a 'prot' view, it makes it the powerful, authoritative word of God as many try to give you the gospel truth. As long as you cling to 'sacred tradition' you will perish in your sins. May we all pray for your salvation. |

If the Roman Catholic Church were the 'true church' of Christ, they would be taking it to the streets and preaching the whole counsel of God, giving the gospel of salvation according to the scriptures. People would be turning from cult worship and turning to the Living God. BUT, since the RCC is not the church of Christ, they are having NO impact in saving souls for Christ. They are caught up in their own 'in house' cult, and aren't aware of their own deceptive sacred teachings. It is no surprise of the alarming rate of Satanic cults in the city that is home to the biggest cult of all, the RCC. God sends a strong delusion to those who refuse to believe in His truth alone, standing only on His word and being obedient to Christ. Sadly, those caught up in these Satanic cults are no worse off than any priest, bishop, or the pope himself; the blind will lead the blind. May God work in this city, and throughout the globe, pouring out His saving grace, drawing lost souls to the living Christ, leading them to repentance and faith in Christ, granting the new birth to all who repent and believe in the gospel. In the name above all names, Jesus Christ, let it be so. |

Charles Spurgeon was not lacking understanding, he was filled with Godly wisdom, discernment, and understanding, {his preaching and his writings prove such}...all granted by Almighty God Himself. Now, let's get to the real issue, how is it that a man achieves sainthood and is granted such by mortals? Why would it be necessary to display a dead body for all to parade by and be impressed with? What passages in scripture give us authority to profess someone as a saint? This man claimed to know people's sins before they confessed. This is NOT from God, His word strictly forbids any type of witchcraft, fortune telling, crystal ball mind readers, diviners, soothsayers, etc. This is just more hocus pocus from the great harlot. |

To those who believe they initiated their own salvation, what about your heart? Why kind of changes are going on there? What brought you to repentance? "Thou believest that there is one God, thou doest well, the devils also believe, and tremble"-James 2:19 "My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways" Proverbs 23:26 The heart MUST be involved, broken over sin, and changed, or salvation is of your own works and isn't genuine. If God has not humbled you, then your heart is not changed. Ezekiel 11:19, "And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you, and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh" "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise" Psalm 51:17 |

GG, As usual, you defend your church and your god, the pope. When Christ said not to call anyone on earth father, that is as high authority as I need. What is the point of kissing a man's ring? Is this not a form of idolatry? {I will be like the most High}-Yes it is. I do not kiss my pastor's ring, watch, necklace, tie, or anything on his person. Yours is a salvation of works; water baptism doesn't save, nor does partaking in the Lords' supper; you have no assurance of ever being saved. If you were the one true church, you would follow Gods' word in accordance with disciplining sin. These homosexual priests would have been put out of the church, unless they repent; if you were scripturally sound in your teachings this would have been enforced. All superficial Christians will face the error of their belief very soon, how sad it will be for you and all who cling to man-made ritualistic idol worshiping blasphemous teachings. |

As I watch the news and see these RCC people call their 'god' holy father, I see idolatry and blasphemy at its finest. They kiss his ring {idolatry}, even the apostles were humble enough and had reverence for God to rebuke those who bowed down to them. "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven" Matthew 23:9. They claim to be the one true church, yet they disregard the word of God by allowing and encouraging idol worship, ordaining and defending homosexual priests, disregarding church discipline, and completely ignoring the authority of God's word. Their church doctrine is upheld to the letter, the word of God is not heeded, nor given due reverence and respect. There is only one Holy Father, He is in heaven upon His majestic throne; all reverence, honor and praise is to be given to Him and Him alone. |

Abraham, David, Solomon and Jacob did practice polygamy, but God never condoned it. In fact, He warned Solomon against it in Deut. 17:17 saying, "He must NOT take MANY wives". As a result of this sinful practice, Abraham's household was fractured because of jealousy between Hagar and Sarah. Jacob also endured the same spousal jealousy. David's adulterous tendencies was his downfall as he approached Bathsheba, and Solomon's many wives were a snare to him and drew him into idol worship. It's funny how polygamists never refer to the 'aftermath' of such sexual immorality. Study the lives of these men, what happened to them and why. Referring back to Deuteronomy 17:17, when God speaks out against something, He does NOT change his mind at a later date. |

Hardcore, It's easy to spot the error of your posts...."I BELIEVE". We can convince ourselves of just about anything if we try hard enough, but if what we believe contradicts God's word, then we are in trouble. Paul clarifies in 1 Cor.7:2 "Let each man have his own wife {single, as in one}, and let each woman have her own husband". This is what the bible teaches, so what you believe is irrelevant. The bible also tells us of David taking the life of Bathsheba's husband, because she was pregnant by David. Does this mean it is okay to murder? Where do you draw the line? Note what happened to David as a result of his sexual sin, the child conceived later died. So you see, there is a price to pay for sexual immorality. "Flee sexual immorality...but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." Nowhere does God specifically say, 'It is okay to marry multiple wives at one time'. The recent tragedy unfolding in Texas on this very matter is proof just how wrong it is. These young, teenage girls are taken advantage of by middle age men, brainwashed and beaten. Is that in the bible too? |

Polygamy has always brought grief, as in the life of Jacob. It was finally forbidden in Leviticus 18:18, "Nor shall you take a woman as a rival to her sister, to uncover her nakedness while the other is alive". All polygamy is forbidden by the original law of marriage, instituted in Gen. 2:24, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife {singular, as in ONE} and they shall become one flesh." If anyone can understand the singular usage of 'man', then they should be able to comprehend the singular usage of 'wife'. Because of stony hearts, Moses 'tolerated' polygamy, as did others in Israel during the early stages of that nation, however, it always led to tragedy. The bible also speaks of murder, homosexuality, drunkenness, etc. That doesn't mean God condones any of it. Twisting His Holy Word is a sin in itself. |
