Oh, now don't be so mean. Remember, Santa was even called out in the Bible. "Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the Lord..." (Zechariah 2:6)

I can see the same thing happening with this as with cigarettes… Once they started texting cigarettes for "education" there were a lot of people that use that as an excuse to keep smoking. "I'm helping education… I'll keep doing it." I can see now there'll be a bunch of perverts out there increasing their porn collection with the excuse that they're helping their state,

Didn't they have something a few years ago when the virgin Mary appeared in the top of a peanut butter jar? Or was that a Dilbert cartoon?

Lol, well I am loud, overbearing and tend to be judgmental... Typical Baptist, I suppose. My Pastor always talks about Spritual Gifts; he tells me I'm more of a prophet, in that I state things with assurance... But I try to dial it back, especially when I'm teaching. It makes it more palatable.
Here though, I occasionally come off a tad harsh, so I apologize in advance for that.

Mourner; I'm not sure that it really matters, especially since I had no idea you were female… But I am an independent, fundamental Baptist... But I'm not the "I can't listen to anything you say since you are a female" kind.
Frank; one question... Are you condoning assisted suicide?

Mourner;
I have no problem with you throwing into the discussion. I will say this about Sampson, if you look at the pattern of his life it was a pattern of disregard. Disregard to God's laws, disregard to his parents rules... Sampson did what Sampson wanted to do. The fact is, God used that, just like he uses many other things to elicit a specific chain of events. Based on most of Samsons previous statements, as well as his final statement, I do not see him as suddenly turning to God with a "Oh hey, let me kill these people for you Lord." His final statement and was very specific…"...strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes..." (Judges 16:28)
I believe that Sampson had great faith, but I also believe that Sampson had a great flash, and gave himself over to it way too often… Including this final act which was out of anger.

Jim.
1st. I'm stevenr.
2nd. I agree that a soldier giving his life to save others is noble; however, I do not see Sampson doing that.
"...strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes." (Judges 16:28) He wasn't trying to save his people, (though God used it for that,) He was mad/sad/upset that he had lost his eyeballs and wanted revenge, and (this is conjecture,) didn't want to live blind.

Don't tell God about that, because not only did Sampson kill himself, but God listed him in the great hall of faith: "And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson..." (Hebrews 11:32)

If all the stories in the news, I was sure that this was on the top list for important information for Christians. Thank you Sermon Audio.

Forgot to add: if it was a minority that committed the act against another minority, it is arson, and not hate.

The definition is simple. If it is a Church that is predominantly white in its membership, it is arson. If it is predominantly black (or other minorities,) it is hate... Because only white people can commit a hate crime.

That's where America's downfall really began; in the universities and places of "Higher Education." We've had several generations perverted by a few individuals who have been given power beyond imagining. It's not the hand that rocks the cradle that rules the world, it's the hand that, under the guise of education, passes grades based on a particular mindset. They have used this pressure to slowly mold a mindset.

Well, that's the problem with having a secular job. If you're hired to sell Big Macs, you sell Big Macs… If you're hired to drive a bus, you drive a bus. The owners don't need your permission to paint it the color they want to. If you have a problem with that, then quit. Start your own business. Don't expect a secular workplace to bend to your rules. I can understand convictions, but Christians are making themselves look stupid when they expect the secular world to bow to them. If the man doesn't want to drive a rainbow bus he should quit. That's not news.

It's difficult to look at events like this and see anything but a win for the devil, but it is proof. Proof that his time is short and he is pulling out all stops. As Christians lose moral battle after moral battle, I see it like a July 4th fireworks show, the grand finale always lets off a bunch of rounds close together, and when that kicks off, you KNOW the end is nigh.

It's all a game... They are in for a rude awakening when people realize that the hyper inflated prices of stock are based on nothing more than imagination and greed. When the floor drops this time, it wil reverberate for more than just a few years.

Christopher; my comment was not to ridicule your intelligence level, it was simply a point of fact. Do I believe that Josh Duggar is a sicko pervert? Of course I do… Do I believe that it's quite possible that that was him, even before he admitted to it…? Of course I do.
But at the same time, I am also aware that the media has no love for Christians, even the demented sicko pervert ones. They would like nothing better than to tear us down in any way possible. Hence, I try to take all the information from the liberal media with a grain of salt, and let the facts show themselves before I go anywhere else. I'm glad you vetted the information, but I did not; I went by personal experience, which is that people of the same name will sometimes get confused. There's still a rumor at a nearby school that a famous rockstar went there in the eighth grade, because a kid had the same name as his 'real' name.
It happens.
