Mr. Macdonald asked the inhabitants of the island of St.Kilda how a man must be saved. An old man replied "We shall be saved if we repent, and forsake our sins, and turn to God." "Yes," said a middle aged female, "and with a true heart too." "Aye," rejoined a third, "and with prayer"; and, added a fourth, "It must be a prayer of the heart." "And we must be diligent too," said a fifth, "in keeping the commandments." Thus, each having contributed his mite, feeling that a decent creed had been made up, they all looked and listened for the preachers approbation; but they all aroused his deepest pity: he had to begin at the beginning and preach Christ to them.-Charles Spurgeon, from Around the Wicket Gate |

What a bunch of petulant children. No amount of gun control would have prevented what happened in Orlando. They don't even know what they're talking about. They always bring up the gun show loophole, there's no such thing. You have to get a background check at gun shows. They also seem to think you can just order a gun online and have it shipped straight to your house. Wrong. It has to go to a FFL who will do a background check before they give you the gun. I read a hilarious story earlier about some liberal journalist from Chicago who tried to prove how insanely easy it was to buy an "assault rifle." Well, embarrassingly, he failed the background check because he's been arrested for domestic violence (or something like that, I can't remember exactly), and they wouldn't sell it to him. |

B.Warely wrote: Calvinism is the gospelSo when Christ said repent ye and believe the gospel, he was talking about Calvinism? Come now man don't be silly. 1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures Nope, no mention of predestination, particular redemption, etc |

Gay Allen writes: so what do you followers of Calvin and not Jesus have to say about this? Loaded question. Methinks you just despise Calvinism and aren't really looking for answers. Besides what does that prove? He meets with ecumenical false prophets of all stripes. |
