I love to see snippets of good news in this dark world. May all those believers worship their hearts out in praise to God for this deliverance! |

Dolores wrote: Hi JohnUk, so sorry to hear you are having problems with your throat and the pain involved. Prayers for God to heal with the medicine and knowledge of the doctors as they work with you.By the way, John, I have had streptococcus in my throat so painful 😣 that I could hardly even talk, more or less eat or drink. A round of antibiotics and prayers did the trick. That was years ago and haven’t had it since, praise God. Didn’t know you were sick until today. Thank you Dolores, for your care and concern, and encouraging words. I hope as we all pray for one another that good times will come.I am especially encouraged by your own recovery from a pain which has to be experienced to be believed. The throat is incredibly complex, and in future I will never grumble if all I have to drink is water, I shall be so glad just to be able to swallow it down. This day I have had a couple of glasses of milk, which were difficult to swallow, but I managed it, as I also managed to begin the antibiotic course in earnest. Bro Michael said we ought to weep with those that weep. Now would be a good time, as I find it hard to rejoice when there is so much pain around the head area. |

Dolores wrote: Hi Mike, could be right about that little ole lady but in my encounter, this guy was handed a mask by the receptionist as he signed in and he held it in his hand and carried with him to see the doctor (not mine either) a woman family dr. You are suppose to call in first and be told when to come in. He didn’t, just walked in elevator and we waited for another one. They said something about that to him as well. So narcissistic!! Tim, you know, it’s so hard to love people like him and so tempting to hit them with a bowling ball or whatever is handy but my doctor is so right, now a days you might be putting your own life in danger to say or do anything. Prayers for my husband, having lots of pain in his lower back area from arthritis or something. Thanks 😊 Hey Dolores, I saw my GP this am and she referred me to the Accident & Emergency at the hospital. When I got there, I signed in at reception and was given a free mask to wear, which I did so for the next few hours, which was no problem. You can tell your husband I have been suffering severe throat pain and unable to eat, drink or take tablets, or even sleep, the past several days. |

Frank wrote: Brother and fellow pilgrim, I have a rather odd way of looking at something that our Lord has predestinated. Example, the antichrist will in fact be on this earth at the exact moment in history that it was predestined. So, even though that is God’s perfect plan, I will not willingly participate in it. So, if this happens with Biden, then nothing can stop it, but I will not vote for him. If God is orchestrating Biden to be president, then I can’t stop that, but I won’t be a positive factor by supporting. I never ponder predestination and simply leave that to Him. And I know that all things will work for our good and for His glory. The below says I will not understand certain things and IMO predestination is one of those things. Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. This probably made no sense; sorry. Just the musings of an old man. OMI Now then Pilgrim, you know I am no theologian, so I only throw these things out in hopes of being put straight by someone like yourself. And I thank you very much. |

Frank wrote: Now for a little conspiracy thought. I think that everyone knows that Biden is senile and cannot possibly complete his first term. So the real push will be to remove him from office due to his mental condition. Then we can say we will have first black female as president. This is all a well thought out plan. What a thought! Still, at least we know God ordained it before they planned it. Or is that stretching sovereignty and predestination too much? |

Dr. Tim wrote: Well, no, John, I didn’t mean that in a literal sense. I haven’t actually totted up the verses. They may only come to 799.6 ounces. That's one very heavy Bible you got there, Doc. Must have come from those days when Bible thumping was common; that is, thumping people with the Bible until they were knocked unconscious. |

Dr. Tim wrote: Amen, UPS and JUK. Hobby horses may be fun to ride, but they don’t take you anywhere. The practitioners of glossalia will concentrate on one chapter of scripture—which, incidentally, they misinterpret—and virtually ignore the other 1,188 chapters. Proponents of baptismal regeneration use six or eight verses to “prove” their case, and disregard hundreds of verses that disprove it. And the diehard Sovereign Gracer will put three ounces of Bible—and that often rewritten because the old trusty KJB refuses to play along with them—on their side of the scale and turn a blind eye to the fifty pounds of Bible on the other side. It’s vital that we study the whole Bible and just let it say what it says, not what we think it says or what we wish it said. My dear old thing, really I must protest this post. You say that in the Bible there is the equivalent of 3oz worth of dubious proof texts for sovereign grace teaching, and 800oz worth of proof texts for what? Free will theology? That means for every verse produced by a sovereign gracer, you have 266.66 recurring verses to prove the opposite. Nay, even an arminist would never claim such a thing. You ought be ashamed of yourself. |
