Just wondered if anyone has seen the Jehovah's Witnesses active in UK city centres or in the USA (rather than just door-to-door?) Saw three with a large display advertising 'What The Bible Really Teaches' and handing out those deceitful booklets. I noticed 2 gentleman immediately begin reading. Another took one and asked if it was KJV- 'Yes we use many versions'. No they don't as they use only their satanic NWT.Next a Mormon 'preaching' aloud his own heresy. Then a chair in the middle of the pathway offering 'healing' (not the chair itself ). I didn't notice the chair at first and thought them to be evangelical Christians, so asked them if they would come and witness to the JW's. 'No! We have a 'healing' ministry!' Isn't the gospel important to you? 'We have a healing ministry!' Wouldn't it be better to preach Christ and Him crucified. What is the point of praying for physical healing for a lost sinner, if the same person might get up from that chair and step up under a bus and into eternity? 'Duh, we have a healing ministry!' Well why not come up to the City Hospital and prove it? deafening silence What a need we have for EVANGELICAL STREET PREACHING in the UK |

'How many times do I have to state that before you get it?'John Y You are all over the place and I wonder why you post on a site that is run by a PROTESTANT who in your eyes is PSYCHOTIC as he holds to the WCF which exposes the synagogue of satan and the papal antichrist Below is a quote from one of his sister denominations pamphlets. It either applies to your priest who holds to heretical doctrine (which you have to admit) or it applies to you as you will not separate from heresy-mass, baptismic regeneration etc 'We are to reject those who teach error. “A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject” (Titus 3:10) Instead of associating with false teachers and seeking to bring them around to our way of thinking, we are to reject them when there has been a repeated refusal to forsake false teaching or practice. We must reject those who persist in propagating error. Just as the physical body seeks to eradicate and reject a virus that is harming it, so the spiritual body must do likewise. These false teachers are not to be looked upon as belonging to the Church of Christ. They are to be denounced as those who bring in damnable heresies (2 Peter 2:1). 4(The Papal Visit: Why We Oppose It) http://www.freepres.org/main.asp |

Easy to defend Johnuk-reading his posts he has always stated his position-the 1689 Baptist Confession and has asked to be called out where he differs. One reviewer: ‘This confession was shaped by some of the greatest theologians who ever lived and every word of it is carefully chosen'. 'Tis the confession of Spurgeon and it would be a strange believer who stated that CHS wasn’t committed to Sola Scriptura! His methodology for sermon preparation was to study and pray over the scriptures, and then someone read aloud various commentaries for him to ponder. Maybe that is part of what made him ‘the Prince of Preachers’ as he valued God wrought instruments- godly TEACHERS and such study made certain that he indeed understood the text BIBLICALLY. I am sad when ‘experts’ decry reading, as though they alone have a pipeline to God. The Reformation began with a debate on the freedom of the will-Scripture v RC. Luther's conscience was bound to Holy Scripture, but did he have a perfect understanding of all things When we have a view it is good to see where the true church has stood rather than a prideful dismissal of others who hold to Sola Scriptura, too. John Yurich USA wrote: It is only in your warped mind that Catholicism is a satanic religion. No normal Evangelical Protestant believes that. Only abnormal and mentally deranged and psychotic Evangelical Protestants believe that. John YI know some might think this unkind, but you are speaking "Rubbish". Evangelical Protestants have always made it clear that Rome is the synagogue of satan, you just have to read the Westminster Confession Of Faith. If that isn't clear enough read the Baptist 1689 Confession re: the Pope or even the articles of the C of E. I wouldn't trust your alleged baptist evangelical protestant friend, but I would listen to the voice of a God blessed 'proven' Protestant called THE PRINCE OF PREACHERS 'As the gospel is the masterpiece of God, “Popery” is the masterpiece of Satan! There can scarcely be imagined anything of devilish craftiness or Satanic wickedness which could be compared with her. She is the unparalleled queen of iniquity! Behold upon her forehead the name, Mystery,Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth. The church of Rome and her teachings are a vast mountain of rubbish covering the truth. Charles Spurgeon, sermon on Nehemiah 4:10, “Rubbish” (No. 1156) |

Some might not like this, but see much difference between Arminianism and Romish teaching on the Bondage of the Will?“They are Arminians to a man; they deny the absolute sovereignty of God, his eternal choice of an elect people, and that Christ bore their sins only. They deny the total depravity of man, for they insist that he possesses a free will and can accept Christ and be saved by a decision of his own; thus directly repudiating God’s word, as found in John 1:13; 6;44; 8:36; Rom 9:16, and other passages. And where any teacher or preacher is unsound on these basic truths, no confidence must be placed on him on any other subject. If he is all wrong at the foundations, his superstructure is bound to be faulty.” —Taken from a “Letter to Lowell Green, August 19, 1934? by A. W. Pink (1886-1952) Rome believes essentially that the will of man was affected by the fall of Adam but not taken prisoner to the fallen nature of man. Hence, Rome denies the bondage of the will to the sinful nature of man. Rome believes that man can, with aid from the Holy Spirit but not enabled by the Holy Spirit, make a completely free and unbiased choice for Heaven or for Hell. SteveR wrote: Catholics by doctrine must listen to the Vatican as final word, Therefore it is very easy to witness to a RC and JY. If there is a crisis of conscience when we explain that every RC must be bound to Popish authority or face excommunication, and that very Papal AntiChrist tells us that if we believe the Bible re: Justification By Faith Alone we are preaching 'another' gospel and therefore under damnation-the RC who is enlightened by the Holy Spirit will be so stricken in conscience that they will indeed leave the RC synagogue of Satan. You can't be a RC and a Christian. You are one or the other. When truly converted then God will deliver from Satan's stronghold. Vatican II in Dogmatic Constitution on the Church (Nov., 1964) 'This sacred Council accepts loyally the venerable faith of our ancestors in the living communion which exists between us and our brothers who are in the glory of heaven or who are yet being purified after their death: and it proposes again the decrees of the Second Council of Nicea, the Council of Florence and the Council of Trent' (ibid, p. 412). John Yurich USA wrote: Only insane and psychotic Evangelical Protestants believe that. JYThose are damning words. What do you think of the Roman catholic Council of Trent's damnation of all those who hold, by grace alone, to justification by faith ALONE? Ask your RC Priest what he thinks of the Council of Trent? Ask him if he thinks the Canons are mistaken and no longer applicable to individual RC Priests today and RC believers today who disagree with any canon? I am sure he will say that the canons still apply, or he is not a faithful RC Priest. Now see the problem. It is Bible BELIEVERS who hold to Justification By Faith Alone. Even SteveR holds to the same, as he has said. So he is under Rome's curse and damnation for believing the Bible alone. Now you say you believe the Bible alone. Do you choose to remain in a church that damns you for believing JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH ALONE, or do you believe that Bible doctrine and therefore MUST leave Romanism altogether. This is all very simple, but I fear you can not face what is very plain to 99% of people posting on SA. I say 100% of all the preachers on SA agree. That is what Martin Luther saw and every faithful Bible believer has seen. A simple question is it not? |

SteveR wrote: Why? Are you a devil trying to provoke evil? doesnt bother me Yes I must be a devil in your own eyes-reading all my posts! The problem see is that your REFORMED FAITH is of little value IF you cannot witness the TRUTH. The same SPIRIT that witnesses to 'the child of God' is THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH. The SPIRIT that will open eyes to error and false doctrine. JY's only hope? I see you don't resist the devil, but you resist the very opportunity to help your 'brother' JY see the fallacy of Romish teaching? What does that make you, may I ask? A godly reformed man? Nice and simple: You are under an 'anathema' according to Rome, so may I beg the question: Is the RC teaching ***FOR*** or against JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH 'ALONE' ??? What then does that make the Romish System, if you answer correctly? You know all the Reformers say: ANTICHRIST. Except the one REFORMED man called SteveR I seem to be your enemy BECAUSE I speak THE TRUTH 'And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works' If you love JY then the only good work is to show him that Rome damns BIBLE Believers for holding, like little children, by faith alone, to BIBLE TRUTH. That make a devil? |

SteveR wrote: speaking of accuracy ...to be Reformed, As soon as the Council Of Trent put an official 'anathema' CURSE and DAMNATION on those who hold to justification by faith alone, then Rome ceased to be a church of any well meaning description.'the Roman Catholic church convened the Council of Trent in November of 1544 in an attempt to counter the doctrines raised and supported by the Reformers... As you claim to wear the badge of a Reformed believer then it would be good to see you counter and deal with those 'anathemas'... maybe John Y would be far quicker to flee 'the Church' that damns Bible believers, if you did so! Please read the book first. I begin to wonder if JY,SR and TLC are all from the same RC fantasy brigade sowing discord deliberately. One is an ecumenical but RC pontificator. The other claims to be Reformed but under Rome's anathema sees some RC's as brethren and preaching the same LORD and Saviour. The other is so extreme that he makes the RC look something preferable to his strange ramblings. Something strange in the pot! |

Acts 23: 6 ‘I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee:’ Acts 26: 5 ‘that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee’ Philippians 3: 5 ‘as touching the law, a Pharisee;’ Philippians 3:6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the churchNow see how the ‘former’ Pharisee loved his people after the flesh (including certain Pharisees?) Romans 10.1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved John Gill’s comments: ‘so now his great love and affection to them, and which he signifies by calling them "brethren":..but either the Jews in general, whom he looked upon and loved as his brethren, according to the flesh; and whatever they thought of him, he considered them in such a relation to him, which obliged him to a concern for their good and welfare’ Should a RC Priest who is then 'saved' and becomes a Baptist-should he not love the souls of those still blind and left behind and like Paul desire their salvation? Think it through. ‘If we do not have love and zeal to reach out to Catholics, all of whom labor under a false gospel, we should cry to the Lord for repentance and a love for all the lost, which has been the hallmark of true Christians throughout the centuries.’ Richard Bennet converted RC Priest |

back to the Book wrote: Christ does not agree with that premise. Thanks for your comment.I'll leave it to others to comment on your own view, but I'll let the greatest preacher since Paul comment (who does agree with Pastor Ovadal) and I also remain in full agreement: "It is the bounden duty of every Christian to pray against Anti-Christ, and as to what Anti-Christ is no sane man ought to raise a question. If it be not Popery in the Church of Rome there is nothing in the world that can be called by that name…because it wounds Christ, because it robs Christ of His Glory, because it puts sacramental efficacy in the place of His atonement, and lifts a piece of bread in the place of the Saviour, and a few drops of water in place of the Holy Ghost, and puts a fallible man like ourselves up as the Vicar of Christ on earth; if we pray against it, because it is against Him, we shall love the persons though we hate their errors; we shall love their souls though we loath and detest their dogmas, and so the breath of our prayers will be sweetened, because we turn our faces towards Christ when we pray.” C.
