Of course Trump has no idea of true salvation. He sees the money and it equates to who he is. His idea is all about personal power. Jesus is about personal denial and death on a cursed tree.
Senator Cruz knows he is a sinner in needs of the one true God. He knows only that one true God can save him. He trusts God. Imperfect like me. I don't know if a nation who has rejected God can relate to any man of God. The fact is however here is a servant of God.
Christopher000, the point not to be missed is that men in the u.s. have abrogated their role as spiritual leaders. When 17 women and 4 men turn out for a prayer meeting it tells alot about even Christian men. If men refuse to operate as men in God's will (which is His will) that is disobedience.
Sorry John, but many of J.O.'s lectures do not even refer to our Lord Jesus. He teaches that you can feel good. Jesus taught that we must deny ourselves pick up our cross and follow Him.

Sadly there are people who claim the whole Boston marathon bombing was a hoax. Tell that to the dismembered and parents who lost children. It's insane but people will believe anything but Christ.
When persecution, real persecution comes it will purify the church. There will be no nominal Christ followers then. Only those whose heatbeat and last breath belong to the King of Kings will remain.
