Buckeye says, "The problem with Syria is that there are no good guys".

The problem also is that the U.S. is also in a poor position to be called the "good guy" with over a million abortions annually.
What would Americans think if some nation bombed the US to teach it a moral lesson about humane treatment of the innocent?

How is it possible that in some oppressive countries Christians risk torture and death to meet together with fellow believers, while in free democratic countries some Christians choose not to meet together at all?

What really surprises me is that this case didn't get much attention by Christians in the U.S.. Three men and their families became victims of Politcal Correctness in this country and two men are now serving time for it.
There are laws being established in this country which are causing it's citizens to be imprisoned for doing the right thing.

"Another defendant in the case, also a Mennonite pastor, Kenneth Miller, was sentenced in 2013 to 21 to 27 months in prison by a federal judge in Vermont, the state where Lisa Miller and and Jenkins were joined in a civil union.

"I and my people would believe and teach that marriage is ordained by God as being the union of a man and a woman and that a child's parentage is of a father and a mother," Miller told the court in 2013."

With other options available to Christian parents, it is irresponsible for them to send their precious children into a toxic environment where most of them will be poisoned to death.

I have often wondered if for many 'believers' Christianity is no more than a worldview that they hold to which satisfies the need for answers to the ultimate questions.

At the risk of being marginalized and discredited, I'll say it again:

Honestly, it time for Christian men to grow up, put childish things away and begin seeking GOD in an earnest and diligent way.
God is a jealous God and only He deserves the enthusiasm and devotion which sports has been receiving.

The challenge for every believer is to emulate the life Christ. That is what it means to be Chriist-like. Study His life and by His grace copy it. We are called to be "little Christs".

I'm struck with how quickly our generation becomes bored with technology. We have come to expect something new and exciting every year. Cell phone manufacturers that can't deliver that soon fall by the wayside.

Solid Christian marriages are built on commitment, not compatibility. Commitment to God and commitment to each other. Anything else is inferior, fragile and prone to breakage. Never enter a marriage with the idea that divorce is a option.

I predict that the question of any future presidential candidate's character and moral integrity is now and will remain a non-issue among evangelicals.

A marriage that fails is a huge tragedy. God hates divorce and a nation that embraces it will eventually self destruct.

I still love the wife of my youth and it's an extra rich blessing to be able to look back on our courtship days, wedding and honeymoon with fondness rather than regret. Commitment has seen us through some rough waters since then.

Jesus said, "if ye love me, keep my commandments".

When a politician makes a promise, well don't hold your breath. But......

I had a dream years ago that I did not, like most dreams, forget. I was driving with my family in the van when suddenly we heard what sounded like trumpets blowing and then we looked up to see the clouds roll back as a scroll, it seemed the sun was shining there but we could see fiery horseman coming and their midst The Son of Man. Some of us shouted, "praise the Lord He's come!!" But others said with horrible dread, "Oh no!! He's come and I'm not ready!!".

I know it's only a dream, but that one I could not forget. And I believe that God always keeps His promises. Look up, for your redemption draweth nigh!

Very true Connor, the fear of God is foreign to most here in America, and it shows. I knew a family here who's parents were very sober and God fearing, and sought to instill that in their children only to watch some of their children charge headlong right back into the world! It's sickening.

I found it interesting while reading the original journal of the pilgrims that they didn't come to the New World to escape persecution, they already had religious freedom in Holland. They left Holland because they feared that Dutch worldliness would rub off onto their own children.

I read this years ago and it was quite an eye opener at the time. I had always been led to believe that they were in search of Relegious freedom. How sad that in our day there are so few parents who are so concerned about worldly influence on their posterity that would risk everything to provide that protection.

What a grief it is to watch a Christian parent plant their little children in front of the television for hours as a babysitter. Where has parental sensibility gone?

Apparently this study does not include chemical abortions. If it did it would certainly show that abortion is actually on the rise.
