Billy Graham was a member of an SBC church. The SBC was supportive of the Billy Graham “ecumenical” evangelistic crusades.

1) The Southern Baptist Convention also associates in ecumenical ventures in its close association with ecumenical evangelistic crusades sponsored by Billy Graham, Luis Palau, and others. Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has a course entitled Christian Life and Witness, which trains students in crusade counseling techniques. On May 3, 2001, the Baptist Press ran an article entitled “Hundreds of Southern Students Prepare for Graham Crusade.”

R. Albert Mohler, Jr., President of Southern Seminary, served as the chairman of Graham’s crusade. He told the Baptist Press, “Nothing else has brought together the kind of ethnic and racial and denominational inclusivity as is represented in this crusade; nothing in my experience and nothing in the recent history of Louisville has brought together such a group of committed Christians for one purpose” [emphasis added].

In fact, Southern Seminary proudly hosts the Billy Graham School of Missions, Evangelism and Church Growth.

Billy Graham: Servant of Rome, Not Servant of Christ - continued -
By: Shaun Willcock, Gospel Minister, author, researcher / Website: Bible Based Ministries

Excerpt:

His Brazen Promotion of Roman Catholicism

On 29 December 1955, he said that he would always tell his “converts” (those who “came forward” at his “altar calls”) to go to the church of their choice, whether Roman Catholic or Protestant! He repeated this on 17 September 1956, in front of 1100 people, and again in 1960.[6] And he kept his word on this matter, decade after decade. Here is just one example:

At Graham’s “Mission ̓89″ in England, he was publicly welcomed by Rome’s cardinal, Basil Hume, and had private meetings with him and other Romish bishops.[7] And of the 35000 people who “went forward” when he gave his “altar call”, 2100 were Roman Catholics – and these were referred by Graham to parish priests for “counselling”![8]

Billy Graham: Servant of Rome, Not Servant of Christ
By: Shaun Willcock, Gospel Minister, author, researcher
Excerpt:
His False Arminian “Gospel”

There is much we could say about the false Arminian “free will gospel” which Billy Graham preached. He always spoke of making a “decision” for Christ – he believed man’s will is free to choose to follow Christ or not. This is why he held his famous and utterly unbiblical “altar calls” so beloved of Arminian preachers everywhere. Instead of the biblical truth that the new birth is a sovereign work of the Holy Spirit of God (Jn. 1:13), in which the person is entirely passive, and that only when one is born again is he able to repent and believe in Christ,
Graham reduced this mighty work of God to a man’s own choice, whenever it suits him, to “make a decision” for Christ.
Putting the cart before the horse, Graham (like all Arminians) claimed that when one “decides for Christ”, then he is born again. Salvation is thus placed in the hands of fallen, impotent, sinful man, not God. It was, and is, nothing but a lie.

Billy Graham Led Millions Astray With False Hope, Altar Calls / Website: Pulpit & Pen / FEBRUARY 21, 2018

Excerpt from Article:

Graham’s insistence on “decisional” regeneration and conversion has led to a massive influx of Charles Finney-like emotional evangelistic tactics that now invade the professing church. The idea is that anyone who might be “seeking” peace with God can simply “decide” to follow Jesus, pray a prayer asking Jesus into their hearts, and no longer be under the curse of Hell. This false gospel is now pervasive in many evangelical churches today and masquerades as a “traditional” form of Arminianism, yet this gospel of synergistic decisionalism doesn’t, in most cases, address the need for pure grace among the lost that comes only through the saving knowledge of the truth of Jesus Christ found alone in Scripture apart from any works of righteousness.

Re: SBC Clergy Abuse - late breaking News . .

Pastor seeks forgiveness for letting alleged sex abuser stay on staff
March 08, 2019 / The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Just a few weeks after his church was removed from a Southern Baptist Convention watchlist, the pastor of a Turner County church apologized Thursday for not earlier removing a staffer who allegedly abused several children at another Georgia church.

The Rev. Rodney Brown, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Ashburn, asked for forgiveness from the victims and the Southern Baptist Convention in a statement published by the Christian Index, the publication of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.

“Recently I have come to realize that I failed my duty as pastor in not taking action against an individual who had been accused of child abuse in the past at another church,” the statement read. “This was because of my long-standing friendship with the accused.

“Other victims have now come forward naming this person and he has admitted to assaulting several young people many years ago. I now realize that what I first thought was an isolated incident was much more. I should have understood that earlier and not doing so was a great mistake on my part. I cannot apologize enough for my actions.”

A brazen attack on Christ's church emanated from none other than SBC's most celebrated & well-acclaimed members . . the late Billy Graham

Article: The Untold Story Behind Billy Graham

Decisions Into the Hands of Rome
It is known that the Billy Graham Crusade send many of their “decisions” to Catholic organizations. Is this of the Jesuitical loyalty Graham has sworn? It has been reported that many of the “decisions” have been lost to the Catholic organizations and to the doctrine of Catholicism.
According to a report, the decision cards are not sent to Bible-believing churches in most cases. Many of the cards signed out are sent to Liberal churches in the community. In 1952 the Pittsburgh Sun-Telegraph reported that Graham’s in his own words said,
"Many of the people who reach a decision for Christ at our meetings have joined the Catholic Church and we have received commendations from Catholic publications for the revived interest in their Church following our campaigns. This happened both in Boston and Washington. After all, one of our prime purposes is to help the churches in a community. If after we move on, the local churches do not feel the efforts of these meetings in increased membership and attendance, then our crusade would have to be considered a failure."

A Voice for victims of sexual abuse her detractors could not silence . .

Mar 6, 2019 / Tyndale House Publishers
Rachael Denhollander

“What Is a Girl Worth? will be one of the most important books to come out of 2019,” said Sarah Atkinson, associate publisher. “Rachael is the voice our culture needs right now on how to support survivors, create communities that are safe for the vulnerable and unsafe for predators, and do unimaginably hard things with integrity, courage, and faith. The impact of abuse is immeasurable and the cost of speaking out is high, but Rachael is fearlessly sharing her experience to help others. She is one of my heroes, and it is a privilege to be entrusted with her story.”

What Is a Girl Worth? will disclose the untold story of the systemic abuse that was reported and ignored for years. It will detail the system that looked the other way and refused to listen to and protect abuse victims. Denhollander will reveal the crushing impact that this abuse has had on her life; trace her journey in harnessing the courage to speak out against such abuse—both for herself and on behalf of abuse victims everywhere; and illuminate the path to a better way forward.

The Independent – UK
Rachael Denhollander: Abused US gymnast receives standing ovation in court after judge's tribute to her courage

Thursday 25 January 2018

The first gymnast to come forward with sexual assault allegations against disgraced doctor Larry Nassar has received a standing ovation in court after the judge in the case delivered a moving tribute to her courage.
Judge Rosemarie Aquilina told Nassar on Wednesday he would spend up to 175 years in jail — on top of a 60-year sentence he received earlier for child pornography charges.

In response to her testimony, Judge Aquilina said: "I want you to know that your words are the right words — you didn't just build a file, you built an army of survivors and you are a five-star general.
"Your demands for accountability and change are happening. Your words, your army, tells the world that these girls ... are worth something, that they have a voice."
She later added: "You started a tidal wave. You made all of this happen. You made all of these voices matter. Your sister survivors and I thank you. You are the bravest person I have ever had in my courtroom."

Rachael Denhollander's new book:
What Is a Girl Worth?

My Story of Breaking the Silence and Exposing the Truth about Larry Nassar and USA Gymnastics

Recipient of Sports Illustrated’s Inspiration of the Year Award and one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People (2018)

“Who is going to tell these little girls that what was done to them matters? That they are seen and valued, that they are not alone and they are not unprotected?”

What Is a Girl Worth? is the inspiring true story of Rachael’s journey from an idealistic young gymnast to a strong and determined woman who found the courage to raise her voice against evil, even when she thought the world might not listen. This deeply personal and compelling narrative shines a spotlight on the physical and emotional impact of abuse, why so many survivors are reluctant to speak out, what it means to be believed, the extraordinary power of faith and forgiveness, and how we can learn to do what’s right in the moments that matter most.

More on Rome's false gospel of “social justice” from Richard Bennett's timely article entitled:

The Roman Catholic Agenda Embedded in the Manhattan Declaration

"EDITOR’S NOTE: Of the original 152 Signers, over 100 were “Evangelicals,” including Dr. Daniel Akin, President, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary . .

Rome Pushes Ecumenical Social Agenda in the Manhattan Declaration
The Website of the Manhattan Declaration states that the purpose of the document is “simply to speak with one voice on the most pressing moral issues of our day…

However, under the Website section entitled, “Message to all signers of the Manhattan Declaration,” the clearly stated purpose is a call for a political movement.
This shows that, in fact, the Manhattan Declaration is only the latest step in the downgrade into implementing Catholic social doctrine. There is yet another purpose; one primarily stated in Vatican Council II and post-Vatican Council II documents. Through the use of social issues, the Roman Catholic Church seeks to draw true Evangelical Bible-believers into itself so that there can be no opposition by them on the fundamental issues of the authority of the Bible alone and the Gospel."

A timely Read . . Richard Bennett traces the origins of the false gospel of "social justice" . .all roads lead to ROME . .

Pope Francis Elected – Mystery of Iniquity Continues
For at least seventy years, Catholic social doctrine has been mainstreamed into the political arena. Witness the buzzwords of today, coined not by Muslims, Hindus, or Buddhists, but by the Roman Catholic Church: phrases such as “redistribution of wealth,” “social justice,” “economic justice,” “dignity of the human person,” “the common good,” “fairness,” and the “right to life, food, clothing, shelter, rest, medical care, education, and employment.” Catholic social doctrine is pushed worldwide by individual Catholics and Catholic groups, as the latest addenda to what the Papacy says are included in evangelization. The Papacy says this is the particular duty of the Catholic laity. Thus, the “mystery of iniquity,” made manifest in the institution of the Roman Catholic Church and its Office of the Papacy, has for the last century been moving effectively into the civil governmental sphere, everywhere pressing its own unbiblical ideas into the public forum.

Rachael Denhollander - in her own words:

My Larry Nassar Testimony Went Viral. But There’s More to the Gospel Than Forgiveness.
Former gymnast Rachael Denhollander spent years discovering God’s perspective on sexual abuse. Then her advocacy for survivors cost her her church.
Excerpt:
In an interview with Christianity Today, Denhollander shared more details about her break with her church community, how poor theology causes many churches to poorly care for sex abuse victims, how she found God’s perspective on sexual abuse in Scripture, and about her convictions that forgiveness and justice are both biblical and must go hand in hand.

In your impact statement, you mention that it took you a long time to reveal your own abuse with other people. Was church included in that?

"Yes. Church is one of the least safe places to acknowledge abuse because the way it is counseled is, more often than not, damaging to the victim. There is an abhorrent lack of knowledge for the damage and devastation that sexual assault brings. It is with deep regret that I say the church is one of the worst places to go for help. That’s a hard thing to say, because I am a very conservative evangelical, but that is the truth. There are very, very few who have ever found true help in the church."
