John 3:5 'Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. God brings an individual to new birth, then faith and repentance? Romans 3:24,25 "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;" John 16:7,8 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:" |

In response to your questions: Paul again says: #1 1 Cor. 4:17-19 "For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church." Michael Hranek wrote: No King and No 'pope' is above (exempt from) obeying the Word of God... Historically the Divine Right of Kings or Erastianism was a doctrine friendly enough with the Church of Rome when it served its purposes. Erastianism was upheld by Prelacy or Bishops employed by the king, that where useful to uphold the kings tyrannical power over all his dissenting Protestant subjects. The Covenanters who recognized Jesus Christ as Creator God of all men and Redeemer of his people were bold in their biblically righteous banner proclamation, when they were set faced to uphold Christ's Crown and Covenant against all his enemies. Many did even unto their untimely deaths by a church and state confederacy executing them as traitors (that is according to the Roman Church and State opinion, but not that of God and his people) A despised few, still attempt to uphold it feebly, that is until they buckle(d) to the political franchise in what ever nation they are (were) found in. If you can't buy and sell, you become a refugee and now true faith is under fire, and that will continue to be so until the end of the 1260 years of the great falling away. |

Psalm 2:1-12 "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him." |

CalvPost wrote: But Michael We Calvinists have only been trying to get you off this old popish philosophy of yours about salvation by works. It is for your own good to leave these things entirely in the hands of a truly Sovereign God. Remember that TULIP is all Gospel. Total Depravity. Because of the fall, man is unable of himself to savingly believe the gospel. The sinner is dead, blind, and deaf to the things of God; his heart is deceitful and desperately corrupt. His will is not free, it is in bondage to his evil nature, therefore, he will not - indeed he cannot - choose good over evil in the spiritual realm. Consequently, it takes much more than the Spirit's assistance to bring a sinner to Christ - it takes regeneration by which the Spirit makes the sinner alive and gives him a new nature. Faith is not something man contributes to salvation but is itself a part of God's gift of salvation - it is God's gift to the sinner, not the sinner's gift to God." Well stated. |
