It sounds like 'Christianity Today' is trying to keep its name in the news, since few people buy it in print. I've never seen it at my local supermarket, and I can't tell you when I last went to a bookstore to buy a magazine.
As to the subject being about 'tweets', I think that's a waste of time. Sure, the President uses them to get his message out, but he has made some mistakes with it and we are best advised to avoid it.

I think I've seen many comments here about the SBC having drifted far from any Biblical basis for their existence. They are more interested in keeping up large attendance numbers, lots of buses collecting kids for their Sunday school programs (I do remember seeing a church ad in the newspaper's Friday or Saturday religion page, boasting of their large Sunday School bus fleet).

This story serves as a reminder that abortion is seen by many, esp. Dems, to be a Human Right (for the mother, that is, not the child).
Where does this idea come from?
The Sexual Revolution of the 1970s, and the resulting 'freedom' of women to have relations with anyone they want to, outside the bonds of matrimony.
It is like saying, 'you can't put the horse back into the barn once it's gone to Paris'

I think that's a good idea, 'Dr Tim' because obesity is related to short lives, so the more obese people there are, the less time they will be around to collect Soc Sec and Medicaid, thus draining those 'trust funds.'
Along the same line, you could say that the govt should provide everyone a car equal to the Audi model that Bernie owns.

I think it's time for him to shake the dust off his shoes from any trip to UK. Sorry to say this for SA's UK readers, but I am always recommending US readers to give up on the UK as a source of any example. UK society, UK Constitution (wait, does it have one?), UK laws, UK population (esp. large percentage of Muslims) are very different from the US.

I think no one reads the printed copy of the National Review, and RL has made many comments making fun of them over the years.
A key to understanding modern media is how the internet changed things, and not just making 'reading the paper' an exercise that only grandparents do. News media can now tell from sophisticated software programs how many 'clicks' a news story will get, so they know what appeals, and know it very fast.
Thus it was that the 'Religion' page that used to appear in your local newspaper on Fridays or Saturdays has disappeared. No one is looking for that info in the newspaper when they can use online mapping tools and church websites to find out info directly.
And newspaper websites focus on those 'hot' stories that get lots of clicks so they can sell advertising.
Not only news media, but all sorts of info providers on the internet know this. It's why a certain medical info website that starts with "web" and ends with the 2 letters that start the name of a famous kosher wine that ends with 20/20 (due to its high alcohol content), will give you lots of quizzes and slide shows on any issue instead of telling you in 2 or 3 pages what you needed to know.

I am glad Sanders won because it was his own back yard (New Hampshire being next to Vermont, for our international readers). But people in NH are very different from VT, which you can see by traveling in both states. Vermont is super liberal, and does not allow Walmart. But there is a Walmart across the river, in NH, so they have no problem crossing that border to buy things cheaper than in VT.
More interesting is the result of Warren not taking 2nd place, and Kolbuchar turning in 5th.
Of course, you can ask yourself, who placed 3rd, 4th and 5th in 2016 NH primary? You have to remember the Clinton campaign cheated Sanders out of his winnings later on before the convention, but what do you expect from the Clintons?
And that's another good thing about the NH primary--I didn't hear any pundits talk about how the Clintons preferred candidate A or B or C or D. Well, I didn't listen to George Staphonopuolus, the former Clinton Press Secretary who got a sweet, well-paying job at ABC.

I think the 2 items mentioned in the headline are also related to wearing clothes. Therefore, if we were going to solve both problems, we would be like those early dwellers in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, who were 'naked and not ashamed'

Yes, there's a lot of trafficking on the internet. I just saw a bunch of people floating by on my screen a minute ago. Don't you see them?
Seriously now, I think they miss the point. Border control has a lot to do with this issue. If you have no control on the borders, then anyone will get in, and any amount of drugs, etc.

Sanders: we don't want any new liberals being created, we already get plenty from the schools that we control.

I looked up the alcohol consumption and Scotland is only included under Great Britain at 12 liters per capita (I suppose that does not include children). Many other countries rank much higher, like Belarus in 1st place with 17.6, Moldova with 16.8, Lithuania with 15.5, Russia with 15.1
Now the US ranks lower at 9.2 liters but that is still an amazing amount. It works out to be a 12-pack of 12 oz beers every week. And if most of the readers of SA are not drinkers, well, someone else is picking up the slack to keep these numbers that high. It makes you wonder about going out at night in a car.

It's good to see that the former Gator QB has done well without either playing baseball or professional football. People used to be excited about his combination of passing and running, but then some guy named Mahomes came along, was drafted 10th by the Kansas City Chiefs, and well, you know the rest of the story.
It would also be interesting to know how many people are affected. In contrast, the sodomites, that represent less than 2 percent of the population, have virtually a strangle-hold on culture, and are ready to take violent action against anyone who opposes them.
I guess you could say that the Lobby for Left-Handed People has not gotten as well organized.

Too bad I've never seen this re-enacted on Hogan's Heroes!
It also reminds me that surveys in the US show that one-third of Jews do not believe in God, but I would guess that 100 percent of them do believe in the Holocaust.
If you want more info you will not find in any Hollywood movie, check out the book by Christopher Browning about the special police battalion that the Germans set up in Poland to go out and carry out their 'Final Solution.' "Ordinary Men: Police Reserve Battalion 101' is the title.
But you better have a strong stomach.

Latest news from Japan's NHK network news is that the first American diagnosed with the virus has died. Also, on that cruise ship, there are 64 people with it. Everyone on the ship is confined to their rooms (well, would you want to go out to the dining room when anyone could be carrying it?).

No one will ever know the truth, when it comes to China reporting on anything. Japan's NHK service has been keeping up on this, especially the cruise ship where all the passengers are restricted to their cabins, but even then you wonder, since China controls all reporters.
They have been showing a new hospital built in record time, but they don't have the staff for it. Maybe the doctors have not been too eager to work there.
It could be an opportunity for Christians to 'step up to the plate' (baseball season starts next month!) and the Chinese would be happy to have them die off to ensure the continuance of their Glorious Revolution, so what would the benefit be?

I don't know if you ever think back to Roman times and how the early church existed then, but did you realize they did not come out in the New Testament against many of the wicked and evil practices such as infanticide, abortion, or slavery? Yes, Romans has a list of evil practices, and some interpret Revelation as referring to the Roman Empire.

Did anyone think the results were going to be any different, when the House vote was strictly along party lines (though I think 1 or 2 Dems did not vote in favor)?
Why didn't the Dems and their pals in the mainstream media try to persuade some Republicans in the House to go along with them? Then they could use that info to persuade a couple Rep senators to vote for it.
It is a big shame that the Dems followed this along, wasting millions of dollars and taxpayers time, instead of working on a true alternative to the President and the Republican party.
One key thing that President Trump noted in his State of the Union speech was the huge number of judges that he has been able to appoint. This positive is rarely noted in the mainstream media, since they really lapdogs for the Democrat party, though on some days, I think the reverse is the case.
Well, the latest news I heard today is that the Dems will continue wasting time on investigations, spurred on by their hatred of President Trump (some by no more than his hair color, as if 'Elephant Ears Obama' could ever be mentioned in the past).
In the end, I think the Dems in the House will remain the same in the next Congress, since incumbents have a very good chance of winning reelection.

A thief who robs from a thief---is that such a bad thing? It seems like this denomination is neither Christian nor Scientist, so even the people who gave the money were being scammed.
It reminds me of a joke about different denominations dealing with pain--this group says, 'just believe it doesn't exist' while the Pentecostals say, 'you have to pray the devil out of the pain' and others have their own special methods.

Well, here's the latest from Wall Street, as reported on Value Line:

Investors were pleased to learn that researchers in China, as well as a team in the U.K., may be on the cusp of finding a treatment for the Coronavirus. However, much progress will be needed, and the situation is still a major concern.

At the close of trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was ahead 483 points; the broader S&P 500 Index was up 37 points; and the NASDAQ was higher by 41 points.

Does Gloria think her parents would have had her if they believed in this? That is a good side of liberals--they tend not to reproduce as much as conservatives.
The bad thing, though, is that liberals control the mainstream media, and schools and colleges where most conservative kids end up studying.
I mean, there are a few home schooled kids that go to Liberty University or Hillsdale College, but they are in the minority.
