The Israelites were to practice hospitality to the strangers among them... Of course, they didn't invite them in a few hundred thousand at a time either...

Good morning, Rodney. He worked for Sandige Construction and they went to rural areas putting in telephone lines. He was from Arkansas and got a job with them while they were there. Long story short, he was sent to Reform,Ala, met my cousin, who brought him to Tuscaloosa to go on a blind date with me. We married 6 weeks later so I could go to the next town which was McMinnville, with him. Finished that job, moved to Sparata. It is a small world😊 of all the towns in Tenn never dreamed I would ever met someone who lived there.
Hey Sis. Dolores,

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I moved here with my parents in the mid eighties. I suspect that you were through here earlier than that. Anyway, I do love the area. I can't imagine living anywhere else.

Hi Brother Rodney, yes in them hills of Tennessee you do know all about everything. I lived in McMinnville, Tenn. for awhile, about the time Dottie West just made it in the Grand Ole Opera. That was the talk of the town. My husband worked with her brother, while we were there. Then moved to Sparta, Tenn. beautiful country.
Really! What a small world. I have a McMinnville address, but I don't live inside the city limits. I've got several friends in Sparta. Where did your husband work while you were here?

The constitution doesn't matter because she said the peephole on her door was broken. Cops can enter any residence for any reason if the doors peephole isn't functioning correctly. She should have had a properly functioning peephole. Maybe now she'll have it fixed.
Are you kidding?

Apparently, she allowed them in.

So you know who Tommy is, eh? Well you'll have to let us all know later on, if no-one gets the answer without googling it. Even I don't know who he is. But he's the sort of guy I could get on with, going by his website.
Hey Bro.,

I'm going to have to repent and retract my statement. Another website said that Tommie Spurgeon is the grandson of C. H. Spurgeon. But according to Tommie's website, even he is not certain that there is a connection.

Sorry I ran out of space to put up the link from where I got the info. It is quite disturbing, eh? And worth doing some research. It is a short article and profitable.

Hey John,

I had to cheat and look up the answer for today's quiz, so I'll not post the answer. Let's see if someone knows w/o looking it up.

Thanks for the link. That's interesting stuff. The article reminded me of this web page. If you like satire, you will enjoy it:

Charles Spurgeon, Pastor of the Metropolitan Tabernacle and contemporary of Darby published criticism of Darby and Brethrenism. His main criticism was that Darby and the Plymouth Brethren rejected the vicarious purpose of Christ's obedience as well as imputed righteousness.oos
G'day Bro John UK,

I was unaware of Darby's views on imputed righteousness. Thanks for the information. Did he believe in our guilt imputed to Christ? Just curious if he rejected all forms of imputation (like Finney ) or just some imputation.

Repent and believe.
Exactly right, Kev. Belief that is unaccompanied by repentance is not true/saving faith.

(Mar 1:14-15 KJV) Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, (15) And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
