The Bible I read portrays God as a perfectly holy God who is nevertheless completely sovereign. In other words, He does what He wants to, whenever He feels like it, however He sees fit, and “giveth not account of any of his matters.” Most people today don’t want a God like that, but one they can keep on a leash. In other words, a namby pamby God who is in favor of abortion, gay marriage, unlimited violations of immigration laws, and whatever other abomination is popular today. That is the god of this world, NC, not the God of the Bible. |
