@English Rose saved sinner:

Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Mat 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Mat 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

This came to mind when I read your comment. Is there a nation in the west at this time that is not seeing much the same? Luke 12:48

I owned that book 'Holiness: the False and the True' in the 1980's, trying to walk out of the darkness into the glorious light of the Gospel looking for a people. The Gospel had been revealed to me using my situation, a book and a bible. I borrowed the bible to check out what the man in the book was preaching to me, from Genesis through Revelation. I wanted to know if what he said was true. I'd never heard these things before. They seemed to be. I tried to put into practice what I knew to be right and wrong. I found it easier to do wrong even trying to do right and this was no task for woman in a downward spiral. I tried to pray. It wasn't helping. I actually had just prayed, but didn't understand, first things first. I opened my bible to Exodus 20 and was convicted as to my sin and 'why' the heaven's were brass to me I prayed from the Bible I had been reading with the book, the portion of Scripture that came to mind. It was gospel story and I asked that the Lord Jesus would forgive me. The man said he would and the example in Scripture said not only of forgiveness but of the use of past sin. I wanted both forgiveness and the right love. I had great cause to hope I'd be like the woman in the story.

No wonder so many women followed the Lord Jesus, he is so kind.

The future for Britain is bleak to say the least.
I tend with some reservation to agree with what you say here.

What do 'you' mean when you say leadership is no longer found in Westminster?...future for Britain is bleak at least?...

Do you have an eschatological view and if so how would you describe it?

Something about B.McCausland's comment didn't ring true. I could be wrong but could there be a B.McC moniker thief abroad?

I've read both comments kibitzer/B. McC following my 9:42 AM post on this thread and now will need time to process so much data.

Anyway must 'make hay while the sun shines' so to speak which to me means there is a time for every purpose under heaven.

Pro 15:13 A merryH8056 heartH3820 maketh a cheerfulH3190 countenance:H6440 but by sorrowH6094 of the heartH3820 the spiritH7307 is broken.H5218
from e-sword from the Hebrew

story of Providence; who watches over and governs all his creatures and all their actions.

My old dog is going deaf and blind. We stepped out in the sun to warm up and he didn't want to come in. He knows his way back to the porch, so I left the porch door and house door open for him. It was warmer outside then inside so I thought the insects would be happier outside for that reason.

I heard a different sound from the kitchen and it was a dragonfly trying to find his way back outside. I tried to catch him in a strainer but he instinctively fled harm. I asked the High God to help me. The insect flew into a spider web and I caught him in the sieve. When outside the webbing left was not enough to be a constraint and he flew away to do whatever it is dragon flies do. Thought it a creation story.

Yes, it is and I appreciated your posts starting at 7:19 AM on this thread, it connected all the dots.

For your consideration, I'll post a verse and then encourage you to go to e-sword and look at each word in the Hebrew

Pro 18:19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.

Eph 4:17-18
Education has practically nothing to do with the ignorance caused by the blindness of the heart.
I thought I was implying that when I made reference to judicial blindness and hardening (of the heart-implied) But then, you were making a statement which touched on education and its worth, all things considered.

I stopped with that thought and walked outside for light and warmth to ponder.

Gentiles came from the motherland to the US in the person of the separatists. They came believing they were like Israel of old entering Canaan/the promised land. Why would Gentiles even think such a thing?

I know that they are Gentiles according to the flesh but nationally it was not to be so. So why did they come here?

@ Louise found your homepage helpful but because of my understanding, which is different, I found it confusing.

Could you define constitution and republic as you understand it. You say in a democracy the the gov fears the people and in tyranny the people fear the gov but from my vantage point after that was thus stated, other statements did not ring true.

Please consider reading this article I found it very helpful this evening.

I wonder where Mr. Cameron went to school? Not in the palace or in the same manner of, say Charles or his son, I wouldn't expect. I was wondering where the royals learn their history? Either they've been given a different unreliable source or they've been judicially blinded and or hardened.

The mercy of God upon the isles was to bring them to repentance, but i don't see it and that is very frightening.

'The' instead of 'their' makes me hear this question differently. calthrope answered, what he understood you to be asking

so I do not understand the question?

Brother Saint Elected Elmer I wrote:
The State watchers are religious leaders themselves!
Historically that has been the case, but not true of every 'religious leader'. Now there is a term that needs definition. I believe in Church leadership, but not in a hierarchy, rather a brotherhood of saints acknowledging some have been called of God with an inward call, as well as an outward call from the Presbytery their brethren to be gifted to preach, teach, and administrate in order to bring about that unity in the truth intended by Ephes 4.

That is why it is 'necessary' to rightly understand Church history. It helps one to recognize the 'true' Church by their faithful contendings for the 'truth' by understanding the glory of God is superlative and the good of man is only possible in that order.

However, to follow the history of a Church that is not 'true' will lead to confusion and then suffering for a cause will be confused with suffering for truth.

This would require the British Government to contradict the Bible.
It was my understanding that we've been doing just that for 1200+years more or less.

"There is only ONE faith"

Quote#2 mentions "extremism as "vocal or active opposition to fundamental British values, laws including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and toleration of different faiths and beliefs."

They need to define what they mean by tolerate. In any western nation in the present world-wide democracy, you will find those who teach other ways to God than Jesus through Christ, that is not new.

The government of Britain has legitimate fears regarding the present mess that they created by contradicting Scripture and covenant breaking. It appears if the media is accurate they address them by making everyone fear who are of 'different faiths and beliefs'. They had better define tolerate, and 'different faiths and beliefs' other than Christianity, because that was nationally defined already in the Confessions of Faith of Britain and Scotland.

From the article: "Becker believes that historical context can help to explain the difference between comparative success and failure."

Becker and Woessmann argue that Protestants were more successful because they had the advantage of a better and longer education. Further research has led them to conclude that the educational advantage began soon after Martin Luther broke away from the established Church in the 16th century and has continued to play its part in creating economic success throughout Europe."

From the article: "Betances urging federal employees to chant “If we work for a federal agency, we’ve discriminated in the past.” He also suggests that the United States “took over what used to be Mexico” and states that schools are only interested in educating middle class children."

From the article: “We would ask the Government to think again and drop these dangerous plans immediately...According to The Telegraph, the *leaked draft* says that all faiths will have to “maintain a national register of faith leaders”

I have cause to think that this will ultimately work for their good, but it will only effect 1/3 that way initially. The way I divide Britain, anyway, I always forget about Wales?
