(TMC) “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” ~John 6:44 “Draw”- G1670: “helko” Thayer Definition: 1. to draw, drag off 2. metaphorically, to draw by inward power, lead, impel “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” ~John 15:16 Jesus says that no man can come to Him on his own. J4J says that anyone can. Jesus says that we have NOT chosen Him, but rather He has chosen us. Jesus also says that the fruit of those He chooses will remain. J4J shakes his head and wonders “where do people get this stuff”, while the rest of us wonder how he theologically deals with all those people who “choose” Jesus and then bear no fruit, let alone having any remain. |

(TMC) @ Frank Yup, one would think leftists will eventually realize that over using terms like “racist” or “alt-right” waters down their meaning when dealing with real hate groups. You’ld also think that the term “alternative right” might be a clue that you’re dealing with an “alternative” to conservatism, not actual conservatism. @ Penny Actually, the site “alternativeright.com” was started years before this past election, and Breitbart.com used the term (in an article promoting Satanism, of all things) months before Hillary Clinton used it. As to “Anti-fa”, I think acting like a brownshirt sort of contradicts their branding! Did you see the video a ways back where they accidentally started beating one of their own? I guess hanging out with thugs has it’s downsides! |

(TMC) @Frank Did you happen to look into the website that the term “alt-right” originally came from? It was started and edited by Richard Spenser and argued for the extermination of all black people along with other KKK and Neo-Nazi positions. Therefore, I’m sure the left would be very misguided in lumping you in with those creeps! |

“Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” ~Psalms 150 |

(TMC) @Christopher000 LOL! No, I haven’t tried that! I’ve never even seen it in our grocery stores. Don’t they confiscate that stuff at the border along with bat jerky and other regretable edibles? I think we’ll start with a Dynatrap DT2000XL (an insect version of the Death Star) and save the possibly contra-band Vegemite as a back-up! Thanks for the idea though! |

(TMC) I think Assad was behind the attack for the following reasons: 1. It’s hard to believe that a dictator who regularly bombs his civilians would suddenly have qualms about gassing them. He has had years of impunity under Obama, who merely gave lip-service to the idea that Assad should be ousted. Then last week he thought he had even more impunity since Trump was not concerned about his removal. 2. On the other hand, would ISIS really think that gassing themselves would spur the US into action against Assad given their opinion of Trump as a weak fool? 3. Also at play, IMO, is Rex Tillerson. As a recipient of Russia’s highest award to non-Russians, and with access to more intel than any citizen or reporter, he would be most likely to cry foul play if there was actual evidence of such. Instead he has said that there is conclusive evidence that Asaad was, in fact, the perpetrator. 4.Finaly, there is also evidence that Assad does in fact have WMDs, and Obama knew it. Sidenote: With all due respect to Ron Paul, (who is really great on some issues) he is a Former Congressman, not a current one, and his understanding of Islamists’ motivation has always been flawed. |

(TMC) @Christopher000 No worries! I knew you didn’t mean it in a negative way, and I whole heartedly agreed with the sentiment! The thought that he might be here for the good of his soul has crossed our minds. It’s just one of those times when you wish you could get a peek at where God is taking all of this! However, you are correct that simply praying for His will is likely our best course! |
