What did these folk think would happen, when decades ago the denomination rejected the inerrency of scripture. Once scripture goes, all those cherished cultural values will soon follow.

It's not that God hasn't called us to work with young people. It's that the "Age Segregation" approach did not come from prayerful study of the Bible. It came from secular education, rock music, entertainment, and marketing.
Further, the idea of having the youth seperated from the rest of the churches life, has produced the very thing churches wanted to avoid. As soon as the youth come of age, they leave the church because for 18 yrs. they have been inundated with entertainment, and now they cannot relate to what the "Grown ups" are doing. The underlying rebellion of youth makes them say "If these dumb old folks don't start doing things the way we want, we will leave". The sad thing is that many churches are giving in to these rebellious demands in order to keep people in the church.
The Family Integrated churches are nothing new. They are doing church the way folks used to before the "Youth Group" era. All the family sets together, and the young people are not distracted by their peers; as is the case when all of the young people set together. Once again, the idea that "Youth need to be together" is something that is believed soley because it has been said for so long. Families and society ahve gotten along for millenia without that approach.

Everyone wants to be called an Evangelical. The term is being used by so many people that hold to the exact opposite of its original meaning, that the term can stand for anything now.

Of course Americans do it. We have a caffeteria mentality of everything. Madison Ave. has convinced everyone that "If you Desire it, the you Deserve it" and if anyone tells us we can't do something, then we want to sue them for violating our rights.
By the way; this Postmodern amalgamation of everything, that says "There are no Opposites", and "The only thing wrong is to say that something is wrong", is the basis for the One World False Religion of the last days.

Many places in the mid-West and the South, here in the U.S., used to have "Blue Laws" which prohibited businesses from opening on Sunday. The only exeption was for works of emegency, and mercy. i.e. Fire, Police, Hospitals, ect. Since that has been overtutned, our economy has steadily suffered. Church attendace has suffered as well. Most times it's because retailers have no respect for christians and going to church. Sometimes, christians don't value the neccissity of being in chuirch, so they take a job that keeps them out of church.
I know of one fellow that complains that he can't get his family in church, yet he set them up in a buisiness where they have to work on Sundays. Overturning the "Blue Laws" had nothing to do with a desire to keep Government out of Religion. It was all about Greed. And that Greed, has led to economic trouble.

This is crazy. They are using the same reasoning that the liberal "Jesus Seminar" folks used in the 90s. Basicly; they get together to discuss what they think Jesus was like, any if anything in the Bible contradicts that, then they say that it was added later, because "The Jesus We know would never say that". The problem with both these groups is; the Jesus they know comes from their collective imaginations, not from the Word of God.

Wouldn't this guy feel like an idiot if it did pass? It wasn't that long ago that in order to get a divorce, you had to prove adultry, abandonment, or abuse, in a court of law.

I wonder if that trip to England was before, or after he rode to America on a white elephant to teach to Indians? Fiction, Fiction, Fiction. But how many peolpe in church will believe this non-sense, especially if it's on PBS. Yet they won't believe their preacher when he preaches the Bible.

Well; what's next Christian satanism in order to reach devil worshipers. Or chistian pornography? It will be christian cause it don't have any cuss words. They just ask for "Due Benevolence" and they will have some christian rap playing in the background. That way, peolpe will watch it and want to get saved, cause we're just like them.

It's about time. Oprah embodied the false religion of the end times better than anyone yet. The false religion of the End Times is to promote good to people to such an extent, that nobody notices that the divinity if Jesus is being undermined, and denied. She, along woth many professed christains believe that being sincere to other religions will get you to heaven. Even when God called them false.
I'm appaled at how many professed Christians think that Oprahs message is Christian because she has good advise about How to treat people right". The false End Time Religion exalts the Second table of the law to such an extent, that it does away with the First table if the law. Thou savorist the things of man, before the things of God.
How many Oprah followers that think they are saved will one day hear "Depart from me I NEVER knew you"? Sad thing is; someone else even more deceptive will come next.

Why would Christian minister think that it would make it difficult to evangalize homosexuals? It's not the Church, or Christians that are enforcing the law, but the Govt. That's like saying " don't put people who steal in jail because it will make it harder to evangalize them". Whether this law is just or not has nothing to do with evangalizing people. It is good to know though that their are still countries that have kept that behaviour illegal. The U.S. did until recently, even though the laws were not enforced.

Doesn't the liberal P/C crowd realize that they will be sitting in the same concentration camps that the cpnservatives are, if Islam takes over?

What a wonderful thing God has done. But what a terrible thing it is for the modern day Pharasees who are straining at a nat and swallowing a camel. The usual jabber jaws are missing the point. She probably doesn't have a KJV bible either. Well So What. The point is , She's not killing babies anymore. God has taken the enemy captive by changing a heart.

I guess if they had been trying to get Bibles to the Philistins they would have called God Baal. This seems like another case of accomadationalism. It would be very confusing to the recipiants of those Bibles. Jehovah God and allah are not the same person.
