Lance-attacking the RCC is what true believers are called to do, expose the deception, false teachings and doctrines of demons wherever they rear their ugly head. You continually defend the RCC, but NOT ONCE do you EVER, EVER defend the word of God. NEVER do you defend scripture with scripture, NEVER do you stand on the word of God and nothing else. You believe what a church teaches, yet you refuse to search the scriptures for yourself, crying out to God for understanding. You don't get it, salvation is of God, and He reveals His truth to each individual, not through what a 'council' or a 'pope' determines is truth. "Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding, if thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hidden treasures, THEN shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD GIVETH WISDOM {it doesn't come from church doctrine!!}, out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding" Proverbs 2:3-6 |

Excellent truth Engineer, "Therefore come out from them and be separate" says the Lord "Touch no unclean thing and I will receive you" 2 Corinthians 6:17. One cannot sit under doctrines of demons and claim Christ. Lance, you said VA Reader cannot be saved by a Chick tract; but what you failed to see is what the tract contained, the WORD of GOD, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me" John 14:6. By this powerful truth, God opened the spiritual ears and eyes of VA Reader and granted understanding, removing the heart of stone and giving in its place a heart of flesh {a fresh heart}. It was the content of the tract that saved, the word of God, which is living and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword. You are in grave danger when you claim God's word cannot save. May the Lord grant you this understanding, and open your spiritual ears and eyes to His truth. |

Va Reader, Praise Almighty God for the salvation He has granted you!!! It is heartbreaking to see so many caught in this cult of a religion. I pray God will open the understanding {Luke 24:45,'then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures'} of GG, Lance, John Yurich, and others who hold fast to man-made teachings, placing them above the holy word of God. I urge all RCC followers to pray, asking God to open their spiritual ears and eyes, and bolt through the calloused hearts. May they heed these words from Acts 17:11 'These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the WORD with all readiness of mind, and SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES DAILY, whether those things were so'. God reveals His truth individually, not to any one group, or denomination; following the teachings of any church without praying over and searching His word leaves one wide open for heresy and a trip down the broad road. |

God drew Nicodemus to Christ through the miracles He performed,'Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him' John 3:2When Jesus asked His disciples who men said He was, they responded,"Some say John the Baptist, some Elias, and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets" Matt. 16:14 When Jesus asked His disciples "But whom say YE that I am?" Peter replied, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God". And Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona, for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but MY FATHER which is in heaven."Matt. 16:15-17 Notice, lost sinners did not know who Christ was, but His disciples knew, only because God made it known to them. |

Mike; Who brings them into the light? Who brought you into the light? Didn't you love darkness before God saved you? How does a vile sinner come to the light? I know I clung to my sins, until God intervened. Again, one must understand the heart, the vile, wicked heart that cannot love a Holy God until He brings it to that love. I go back to Jer. 17:9, 'the heart is desperately/incurably wicked'. What does 'incurably' mean? There's no cure known to man, he is incapable of fixing such a heart. Only a merciful, gracious God can fix such a heart, one of which we all possessed before God showed favor to those He saves. To admit God alone saves would mean to empty self of self, swallowing all pride, and giving glory where it is due...The Ancient of Days!!!May He forever be praised! |

If everyone has faith, why doesn't everyone believe in God? We all have faith in something, whether it be money, material possessions, self, etc...but true, saving faith in a Holy God does not reside in an unregenerate heart. God must grant this faith, after all, it is HIS salvation; which is a gift. So if somebody gives you something, how is it you can take credit for it? JD, if you could understand how wicked EVERY heart truly is, you would better understand God's redemptive plan of salvation. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately {incurably} wicked, who can know it?" Jer. 17:9 How can a sinful, wicked heart produce anything pleasing to God, unless HE grants it? Why do you insist on giving yourself a pat on the back for something you are incapable of doing...saving yourself? ALL glory, praise and honor belong to Almighty God, He alone saves. |

"Looking unto Jesus, the author {captain, chief leader} and finisher {completer, consummater} of our faith." Heb. 12:2 "Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation {effectual working} of God, who hath raised Him from the dead" Col. 2:12 If man has the ability to produce faith, then why is it not all men believe and have this faith, after all, when asked, 'do you want to go to heaven?', 99% overwhelmingly say 'yes!'. "And His name through faith in His name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know; yea, the faith which is by Him GIVEN him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all" Acts 3:16 Only the elect are given faith, Titus 1:1 "Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the FAITH OF GOD'S ELECT" |

In Christ's day on this earth, people flocked to Him for physical healing, He healed to prove He was the Son of God. This man draws a crowd for reasons that aren't concerning Christ, but self. Jesus never kicked or punched people to heal them {as observers of Bentley's revival testify to}, Oftentimes He spoke the word, and people were healed. Instead of emphasizing on the here and now of this life, Bentley should be preaching on the greater concern of where healing is needed most, the human soul, diagnosed with the terminal condition of sin. This is an irreversible disease that no man can cure; however confession and repentance from a broken and contrite spirit is a cry God will not ignore. How sad people are so caught up with this life, going to extremes to cling to it, believing someone can be healed after being physically abused. |

GG- Only God can save a soul, drawing lost sinners to Christ {John 6:44}. He does NOT use church tradition, rituals, or added works to the atoning work of the cross. Christ was the propitiation on the cross, HE ALONE satisfied the Father's anger at sin. If you truly understand the FINISHED work of Christ on the cross, you would know nothing needs to be added, or reenacted time and time again, no magic act at the altar, no praying to those who are long gone from this world, no sharing glory due only to Him. Christ clearly commanded before He breathed His last..."IT IS FINISHED". There is so much truth and power in that command, yet the RCC feels the need to repeat their version of the atonement with magic, ritual, and tradition. All that is needed for a true believer is the holy bible, 'the word of God is living and powerful'.May God open your understanding to the scriptures, and be merciful, saving your soul from your sins. PreacherJon- excellent post! |

It would seem time for all of us to step back, take a break from all this, pray for one another, and pray for ourselves. We are commanded to love the brethren, not back-bite, name-call, falsely accuse, and rip each other apart. We would all have to admit, Christ cannot be pleased with all this ruckus. This is not appropriate behavior, or living our lives in accordance with the calling we've received. Satan is having a grand ole time, at the expense of the children of God. Let's please pray for one another this very day; maybe allowing posts on surveys and news stories is NOT a good idea. |

Casob/JD -the names one may choose really is trivial, but being of an argumentative spirit as you are, I can see where you would feed upon it. It bears repeating... "But except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" Luke 13:3,5 "But go and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice', for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Matt. 9:13 "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" Acts 2:38 "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem" Luke 24:47 No one can understand the scriptures unless God grants it..."The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul" Acts 16:14 Mike, to your post, 'salvation is of the Lord' I say a heartfelt amen! God bless... |
