If you were going to quote proverbs 23 to them, it should be these verses:Proverbs 23:29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? 23:30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. 23:31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. 23:32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. 23:33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things. 23:34 Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast. 23:35 They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again. |

Luke 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.Scripture says if they dont believe Gods word, they will not believe someone who has experienced hell first hand. Ive read the book btw, and another more unbiblical one called A Divine Revelation of Hell. |

I once asked SteveR how a Catholic could be saved, seeing as how they believe a false gospel. He responded by quoting Ephesisns 2:8, and asked me what part of "not of yourselves" did I not understand, clearly demonstrating to me that either he does not understand that verse, or was posting subterfuge again. Funny thing is, if I only needed one verse to prove they arent saved, that would be the one! They deny the first half of the verse, and believe it is of themselves. His response smacked of either hypercalvinism, or universalism, implying that they dont have to do anything (faith, repentance), they are just saved. I dont think he meant it that way, but thats how it came off. |
