Ha Ha,there you go again Lance,putting your foot in your mouth.
Jesus didn't speak Latin either.
You want to go and read what it says on the front of your bible(douay version)but just to let you know what it says,I'll print it here for you.
"The New Testament of or Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST,translated out of the Latin Vulgate;dilintly compared with THE ORIGINAL GREEK and first published by the ENGLISH COLLEGE OF RHEMES:Anno 1582:
newly revised and corrected according to the clementin edition of the scriptures.
So you see lance your bible and mine is translated out of the ORIGINAL GREEK.
If you would care to read what your bible actually says,you will see Christ did not say He would build His church on"thee","you","him"or"peter",but on the Rock ie CHRIST.
Just because some heretical fallable pope whom you follow, thinks it says"peter"dosn't make it so,and your just as lost as him.
Still in your logic,then Christ would have built His church on satan,seeing He calls Peter satan in the same chapter.
But Hey Lance,any born again Holy Spirit lead person would tell you the same thing I have.
Try reading Acts 15,you will see were the first church is and who was bishop of it  But Sure

Lance the reason you can't understand the scriptures is because you have never been born again of the Spirit of God,and that is why you seek only papish commentators of the scriptures,and don't seek after God.
That is why you believe a lie about Peter being a rock(petra,an immoveable rock),and not what Christ called him(petros,a stone),if you take your papish way about scripture,then Christ built his church on satan(matt 16=23),but hey,you have already been told and shown all this from scripture before,so you have No excuse for not understanding the truth .
All you want to do is the devils work,by trying to decieve souls on this site,but hey,know what,most of us on this site Are, Born Again of the Spirit of God Sure

Notice it does not say"sacrificed anew every time the mass is taken" Notice,if the papist was true,then CHRIST would still be suffering. Notice,it doesn't even mention anything about a mass! Notice,if it was anew every time a mass was said,then it should follow that man must also die many times. Notice,its in kings english,and easy to understand Good Job
