Thank you Micheal, and God bless.Again, there are certain ones here whom I will avoid, because of the overbearing, argumentative, divisive attitudes; all of which are unbiblical. Opinions are not to be argued over [because of the end result, which is listed above], however, if true believers want to take the scriptures and discuss the meaning of them, this I would welcome. As for anti-christ, I vowed a week ago to steer clear of this, so your accusations are like most of your postings, without merit. These boards, as of late, have become overran with everything BUT discussions on God's word. This has led to wild accusations, heated discussions, name calling, etc. I have gone before Almighty God with what He has convicted me of, and pray all that come under conviction will do so as well. It would be a blessing if these boards could get back to biblical discussions. Because of the direction these boards have taken {it flows through EVERY thread}, it would probably be best to stay seated on the sidelines. When the opportunity arises to 'talk scripture', I will join in. |

Allah is the moon god of Muhammad's tribe; the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the Great I Am, the One who created all things. Allah is from the compound Arabic word 'al-ilah', or in english, 'the god'. At the Kabah in Mecca over 350 gods were worshiped, but it was built specially for the chief deity, the moon god {so named by Muhammad when he shortened alilah to allah}. This makes Allah a pagan idol, so named as a god by the prophet Muhammad in 610 AD. Allah doesn't exist, and is nothing more than a form of 'idol worship, there is no comparison to the One True God!more info available at www.bible.ca/islam/islam-moon-god.htm John UK~ that's very true. To pray a 'rehearsed prayer' is dangerous, to pray from the heart, a heart that has been broken by God, is entirely different. |

Further evidence of praying the sinner's prayer, and the confidence placed in such a prayer may be found in John Y.'s statement, 'and when I prayed the Sinners Prayer it was to the biblical and historical Jesus and THUS I AM SAVED'{from John's 1/2/09 8:06 am post}. It would appear John, you are basing your salvation on what you have done. This can be very deceptive; again, the heart must be changed by God before it can assess its true condition. "As for you, you were DEAD in your transgressions and sins" Eph. 2:1 It is humanly impossible for man to bring himself back from the dead."The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know it?" Jer. 17:9 'Desperately wicked means-sick, incurable, woeful. How can man cure what the bible says is incurable? Let's not base salvation on our own claim, let's base it on the work of Christ on the cross, and the work He is presently doing within the hearts of those born from above solely by His grace. |

Mike~a sinner's prayer is along the lines of 'name it- claim it' salvation...'I prayed it, and now I'm saved'. This is very dangerous, to base one's eternal salvation on one's own 'claim', this is bordering 'salvation by works'. For instance, if one claims salvation because he prayed a prayer, yet continues on in an apostate church, sitting under false doctrine, is his heart truly changed? The doctrine of regeneration is all but ignored; if the heart truly belongs to Christ, the evidence will manifest such as the new creation is changed from the inside out day by day, being made in the image of His Lord and Savior. No one comes to Christ unless God first does a work in the heart: salvation is of the Lord. 'Regeneration-the supernatural work of God whereby the sinner's dead depraved heart of stone is replaced with a new heart, that is both willing and able to respond to God in love and obedience'- Paul WasherLance, may I recommend this link to you concerning Allah, the Muslim god...www.apologeticsindex.org/i07ab.html |

John Y.~ The problem with praying the 'sinner's prayer' is that it is a decisional prayer, and isn't in line with the doctrine of regeneration. It lacks the inner change needed to be born from above, the transformation that must take place in the heart of the lost sinner. The new creation in Christ is transformed from the inside out by His word through His Spirit. "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy, He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost" Titus 3:5May I suggest the book by Chas. Leiter entitled, 'Justification and Regeneration' available at www.heartcrymissionary.com, or www.lakeroadchapel.org? Also, Pastor Leiter teaches on regeneration at the lakeroad link. Paul Washer's sermons also speak out against this 'praying a prayer', 'walking an aisle', and 'making a decision'; all of which the Baptists have promoted, in large part due to Billy Graham. May this guide you in your walk with Christ. FYI~a truly edifying sermon is Paul Washer's 'ten indictments'; a powerful video entitled 'Back to the Gospel' can be viewed at www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqWaCvAPwXA |

from http://ohioagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/12/breaking-ohio-hate-sheikh-salah-sultan.html...'Salah Sultan, internationally renowned Islamic hate sheikh from Hilliard, Ohio, was recorded yesterday on Egyptian Al-Nas tv preaching JEW HATRED and spewing CONSPIRACY FILTH'. sound familiar? He said, "the stone, which is thrown at the Jews, hates these Jews, these Zionists, because Allah foretold, via his prophet Muhammad, that JUDGMENT DAY WILL NOT COME BEFORE THE JEW AND THE MUSLIM FIGHT." "One of these days, the U.S. will suffer more deaths, than all those killed in this third Gaza holocaust. THIS WILL HAPPEN SOON". "The protocols of the elders of Zion is an attempt to rule and corrupt the entire world. When the world concentrates on its desires and lusts, the Jews will be free to implement their plan of controlling the world" Does this sound like a God loving agenda to you Banned? Will you join them if/when they invade here, again? |

Banned~it is God's will that this world end, so to blame anyone is silly, when God's appointed time comes, you won't be able to stop it, no matter who you blame. No man can thwart God's plan; rather than blame Jews, I encourage you to turn off Texe and open the bible, seek His wisdom, and ask Him to search your heart, this is NOT the time to be finger pointing and hating anyone. John UK~ I don't hold to a preterist view {if you do, I won't hold it against you!}, and in light of your post concerning the temple, it seems to me Christ's teachings from Matt. 24 are yet future. Granted, some of what He taught was fulfilled in 70 A.D.,but also awaits a future fulfillment. I have read they have priestly garments ready to go, the 'abomination' or Anti-Christ, has yet to appear. You might be interested in this, www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/2369 |

Banned~ you seem to be desperately hopeless. You insist the Jews lostness is worse than that of Muslims, whom you defend as being 'close' to Christianity. You completely overlook the slaughter of masses of people by the Muslims, all in the name of 'Allah'... Hear the word of the Lord, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil..." Isaiah 5:20. Do you understand what that verse says? Woe to you Banned, for you call the Muslim faith 'good', even though it is evil. Your defense of it as being 'closest' to Christianity is sinful. In your desperate attempt to justify hating the Jews, you side with evil. My heart breaks for you, because you are still spiritually blind with hatred and an accusing heart.Micheal,I agree~ I think it boils down to this; it is Allah vs. Christ, the descendants of Ishmael vs. the descendants of Isaac. Hatred that stems from God's covenant promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. |

Banned~keep this in mind when you think about the unbelieving Jews... When Christ bore their hatred on the cross, He said, "Father, FORGIVE THEM for they know not what they do". When they stoned Stephen to death, before he drew his last, he said, "Lay not this sin to their charge". And Paul, whom they beat on many occasions, said this, 'I'm telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit that I have great sorrow and heaviness, unceasing grief in my heart for I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh.' Banned, I urge you to remember this, if you do not forgive others, if you harbor hate, it will cost you all of eternity. |

Banned~ on the contrary, the temple being rebuilt is a GOOD THING! It indicates the soon return of Jesus Christ, and for that, I am encouraged. As for it being 'God's will', what kind of statement is that? If the bible foretells it, then it is God's will. God receives glory, even through evil. NOTHING happens apart from His will!BTW, is your buddy Texe incapable of being wrong? He is human isn't he? Concerning the Jews wearing of their yarmulkes, he, and you, are both in error. |

The rebuilding of the temple was prophesied by Daniel in 9:27. Christ confirms Daniel's prophecy, 'So when you see standing in the holy place the abomination that causes desolation spoken of through the prophet Daniel, let the reader understand'. Matt. 24:15 Another scriptural ref. is found in 2 Thess. 2:3-4This rebuilding of the temple solidifies God's word is true. |

Hi Johnuk~ I just finished this from John Piper and was blessed by what I read. I think it will be beneficial, it is entitled 'The Covenant of Abraham' and can be read at www.soundofgrace.com/piper81/101881m.htm |

JohnUK~keep in mind, the old covenant is the Mosaic law. That is separate from God's covenant promises to Israel. Jesus said He came to fulfill the law, not destroy it {Matt. 5:17-18}. The law brings the knowledge of sin {Romans 3:20} and is used to show the lost sinner his/her crimes against a Holy God, it acts as a mirror to reflect what is in the heart. If I may, I suggest this teaching from John MacArthur on the New Covenant, the link is www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/47-16 I hope this helps. May I advise you not to try and glean anything from comments posted by those here who spew out hatred and take the word of God out of context? Satan is alive and well on these boards! MacArthur, Paul Washer, Jeff Noblit, R.C. Sproul, John Piper are just a few good bible preachers/teachers who expound the word accurately, as the Spirit leads them. Some good links include www.anchoredintruth.org, www.heartcrymissionary.com, www.lakeroadchapel.org www.desiringgod.org www.thecrossalone.com |
