Thanks for showing from the Scriptures the virtue of temperance and the vice of excess. The world loves to encourage indulgence and reject restraint. God calls us to have rule over our own spirits and to deny ourselves.

I've not patronized Target since news of them adopting this wicked policy broke. I don't want to risk even seeing a "transgendered" person there.

God made them male and female, established at the beginning (Genesis 1:26-27). That hasn't changed, nor is it ever going to.

It's a sin crisis. Only Jesus can provide the cure and deliverance.

Thanks for the previous links. I generally do suspect that large churches are of the seeker sensitive type. And now that I think about it, I believe I do recall hearing of him using the AC/DC song in a "worship service."

I appreciate your zeal for discernment and for rightly dividing the word of truth. God's blessings to you.

I pray Mr. Noble is given eyesight by God to discern this issue spiritually. He need not be under the dominion of strong drink if He trusts Jesus for deliverance. May God humble Him to receive correction also.

Most churches today it seems can't bear the thought of being out of step with the world.
Yes; I John 2:15-17 and Romans 12:1, along with similar verses, go unheeded in most congregations. Many who profess to be Christian don't come out from among and separate from but rather seem to defend participating in the wickedness in which this whole world lieth (I John 5:19). Apparently, having a salt of the earth/light of the world distinction for Jesus' sake is not worth it for some.

I care about what thus saith the Lord, not thus saith the pope.

If there is Scripture he can give proving Christians should apologize to sodomites, I'd certainly like to hear it.

U.S., that is a very interesting way by which the Lord led you here. Scripturally sound sermons are better than rock music any day; no comparison!

Yes, and they want to convince us that that is what we are as well. There's certainly a reason television broadcasts are referred to as "programming."

The influence of mass media, headed by the "god of this world" (II Cor. 4:4), can be severely diminished if one separates from it and replaces that void with reading and studying Scripture, prayer, gathering with the saints, evangelizing and passing out gospel tracts, and listening to sermons and related Christian broadcasts such as many of those here on SA (use Biblical discernment and judgment, of course).

...tattoos are unbiblical. The only thing that has amazed me is how many women are getting them now. Feminism includes the thought that if women want to be liberated, they will act more like men and this disfigurement is a good example of that.
Sad, but true. Feminism has certainly goaded women into acting like the basest sort of men. I've heard that once upon a time only the rougher characters on the fringes of society got tattoos. I hate to see women deface their God-given bodies in this way. It's disobedient to God (Leviticus 19:28). No godly man should be inclined toward a woman who carries herself in a masculine manner.

Thanks for your (as usual) insightful comment, and God bless.

Yes; as I've heard it said: they are willing to do for a lie what many Christians will not do for the truth.

Bible readers shouldn't be surprised by this (Genesis 2:15; Psalm 104:23; I Timothy 5:8). God gave men a capacity and strength to labour so they can provide for their own, specially those of their own house. Women are not meant to do this or to compete against men in this arena.

Of course, God does give women work, keeping house and as keepers at home (Psalm 113:9; Titus 2:3-5). Guiding the house (I Timothy 5:14) is honourable as done unto the Lord; it is not degrading or second best.

I'm not buying it.

"Ye shall know them by their fruits. ... Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them" (Matthew 7:16a, 20).

"Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God" (I John 3:9).

It does not seem that Donald Trump has brought forth fruits meet for repentance (Matthew 3:8).

lay off the entertainment pollution.
This must be the plot to control the population - creating ones own reality.
I think you're right. There will always be an inability to discern fantasy from reality if one's reality is not defined by the holy Scriptures. Entertainment is effectively used by the god of this world to blind minds and distract (cf. II Corinthians 4:4). "Reality" TV isn't reality.

II Corinthians 10:5 - "Casing down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them" (Genesis 1:27).

"Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created" (Genesis 5:2).

Oh, that men would bow to the simplicity of Scripture!

I prefer J.S. Bach and G.F. Handel among classical composers.

Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs remain my favorite, however.
