Martin (from TX) makes sense. If I have a chevy and I bring it to a foreign car repair shop, can I demand that they repair it, even if they don't repair domestic cars?
Agree about these movies! It would have helped if there was a discussion about the law of God and how it is written on the hearts of the regenerate making us wanting to glorify and obey Him. Just preaching the law without stating it was meant to lead to Christ does not lead to the gospel/salvation. It leads to white-washed tombs. I did like the sermon. I usually check out Christian Spotlight on Entertainment website for movie reviews and the review for this movie on that site was lacking in biblical clarity.
Great Sermon! Thank you, Brother Voddie. This sermon destroys the notion that the future of America or the future of this universe hinges on the Nov '12 election. Marxist vs Mormon...no need to worry. Jesus is on the throne.
Great Sermon! A much needed reminder of who I need to call out to for strength when I get in my Romans 7 moods. O Wretched man that I am. What a Savior!!
Stronger Stance Needed against worldly movies The show/talk was good, though I was disappointed that a stronger stance was not taken against these types of movies. Is this a movie that a Christian should see? We know that "all things are lawful', but is this particular movie profitable, edifying, redeeming? I could not (or maybe I do since without Christ we are under the power of Satan and are slaves to Sin) believe that 6-10 year-olds were at this movie at this time of night! A 6 year-old died. We would be quick to say that Christians should not watch pornography, but what about 'worldly-ography' or 'gratuitous-violence-ography'? Sexual Lust is not the only sin in the Bible.
