Did any of you read the first paragraph..this man is head of the health dept. In the Dutch capital city where the sale of cannabis is legalised??!! No one argues that sugar does cause health problems but is not cannabis actually a mind aitering drug that cano cause other problems as well..such as lack of motivation to work..if smoked serious damage to lungs? Diabetes runs in my family..both parents died from complications of this disease but sugar does not cause this disease but it causes overweight which does bring on Diabetes II..but since all starches turn to sugar in the body then wouldn't that have to be regulated as well..again "strain at a gnat and swallow a camel".
I know when my husband worked for the power company and ice storms hit so bad they would go to the areas and work for a week getting electricity back on and when we got a real bad ice storm then crews from all over Arkansas would come help out. He worked for Southwest Arkansas Rural Electric Coop..seems like rural areas got hit hard because of trees pulling lines down heavy with ice.
I'm the kind woman with cancer that Some Woman From Wisconsin..and I know it came from her heart gave those kind words to. I have been married and divorced. I was eight months pregnant when he left me..I had developed toxemia and according to what the doctor told my mother I was next door to death..he was a womanizer like my father was..I had a baby boy and lived with my parents until I remarried and moved from Alabama to Arkansas ( where he's from)..his parents disapproved of course ( Holiness)..we had 3 more children. At the time I was going to their Church and not allowed to teach which was ok because I didn't feel worthy and very confused! One day God showed me that if I were living in sin how He could take my husband through death..not long after my husband had an accident at work and through certain things happening that were miraclous to me he was spared death. I realize God hates divorce and I know first hand why.I had prayed God would send agood husband and father for my baby boy and He did all the way from Arkansas..
To CAS..I'm not sure they all believe this narrow and it doesn't matter what anyone in any church does in way of rules that they believe in as long as they are not doing it to win God's approval or stay saved or to be saved..why would Jesus have to die such a horrible death if we need to add to it..I do have my own way of serving God but it's because I love Him not to follow the rituals that somebody decides I need to do it or have to do it..the dress code comes from the scriptures saying dress modestly..but it doesn't say long sleeves or long dresses..no jewelry came from when Moses was recieving the10 commandments and they made a golden calf out of their earrings etc to worship..no makeup because Jezabel painted her face to tempt a man of God..I could go on and on with ritals in different churches. Sorry I write so much but I teach Sunday sch and have to go deeper to explain myself and God's word.
My mother in law is Hoiness which is different than Assembly or God..I've attended both and one is much lenient than ( Holiness ) I should not have said pentocostals per say but they are very legalistic and judgemental..once I saw this I cut my hair and I was shunned by most of them and my mother-in-law was the worst..one lady told me I needed to repent and be baptized again. God led me out and it wasn't because of their being lost..it when I read the Bible myself and God revealed things to me personally that I had to leave. Some jews wanted the Gentiles to adhere to their rules and Paul refused to burden them with these unnecessary rules except not eat blood or commit fornication. They were adding to Jesus work on the cross.
The Pentecost do the same thing..if you don't adhere to their rules then you are doomed. Their rules..no makeup, long hair,no jewelry etc.etc. It's grace plus works.I can't understand their thinking but I do know ther are some very devoted to God Christians that belong to this church..I went there for a few years thinking that my going to my in-laws' church would win my husband to Christ but it didn't. He even threatened to leave me if I started looking like those women..don't know much about the Catholics but that young man was a light to someone.
When you don't belong to God through faith in Jeaus as your Saviour then you are still in darkness and to you father Satan and you may as well call yourself Satan Worshipers and belong to the church of Satan. Satan hates God and his people andhe uses his people to perscute and haress God's people. We are in a spiriual warfare which Paul talks about in Ephesians 6. He says we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickness in heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you might be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand..Ephesians 6:10-20
I am watching the signs of the end time unfolding right before my eyes almost daily! Paul said it would be like a woman in labor birthing a baby..the pains would get more and more intense and closer together until the birth is complete..the Rapture will occur at any time during this process.Need to keep our eyes on the Middle East because that's where it's going to be happening..especially with Israel.
What a blessing he is and it reminds me of the when the prophet Elijiah went to Mount Carmel to face Jezabel's false prophets that were follows of Baal..showed that God was the true God and as a result the people turned back to serving Jehovah God..Elijah was threatened by Jezabel because he and allthe people slew all the false prophets..later he got depressed and felt alone while hidding out from Jezabel..God spoke and told him that he had hundreds of prophets that had not bowed their knee to Beal. What an encouagement..we are not alone in our fight against our enemy..there are thousands more that have not bowed to the false gods of this fallen world!
Hi Christopher, I thought of that same verse in chapter 14 of Romans. I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus Christ that there is nothing unclean of itself ( read vrs.1-13 to uderstand the meaning of this statement), but to him who considers anything to be unclean to him it is unclean. Verse 14.need to read down to verse 23 to get the meaning of what Paul is saying..verse 22-23 says; Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn ( have a guilty conscience ) himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith: for whatever is not from faith ( clear conscience ) is sin ( to you) In other words I see nothing wrong with buying Cheerios..if you see it as wrong then for you to buy Cheerios would cause you to sin ( have a guilty conscience). Of course we are not talking a person that has no conscience which is not normal. Read the whole chapter to understand what Paul means here..have a good day!
What if you found out your favorite store Sold the items that You no longer buy yet it's still on their shelves for others to buy..aren't they contributing to the gay life style also? If your conscious tells you don't buy these items then don't...that's all I'm saying..it just doesn't make a lot of sense to me personally.
And our taxes goes to support the evil of not allowing christian's business to not support killing babies in the womb with their health insurance, however, how many Christian business hire gay people or evil people not knowing..the only way we can get away from this fallen world is to move upon that mountain like the monk decided to do..look what he gave up to be close to God..are we called to do that? Not me. Btw our taxes are supporting a very liberal government.
But I say to you, love your enemies,bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you that you may be sons of your Father in heaven, for he makes His sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust..Matt.5:44-45..Jesus ate with the sinners and publicans and was critized by the Pharisees. This is God's Word to Me..if He is telling you something else so be it..what others are doing including business that's strictly between them and God. I am blooming where God planted me..and btw I am still not there yet..God made the stars, moon and the sun, the earth and all in it but He's still working on me.
The pharisees tried to trap Jesus with this similiar issue..and he said to give unto Casear what belong to Caesar which was taxes and high taxes at that! And crooked tax collectors at that, remember Matthew a tax collector that became a faithful disciple and offered to give back to those he had stolen from. Jesus did not call us out of the world but to be salt and light to the world. Satan would like nothing better than to get our eyes off Jesus onto things we should not be trying to correct. These businesses will answer to God for what they do with their money not you. Also remember there are lots of people that are both Christian and non Christians that have jobs wih them! We can't change the world so we change the things God wants us to change in the places He puts us to be salt and light.
Left out the main part of that verse which is: neithet male nor female..which is how we are in the eyes of God..Anne has a point when we are trying to help each other with anything they see as a problem for them..or me. I didn't see it that way because I have to deal with this every Sunday..and stores everywhere..

Christropher, this verse came to me when I was reading your posts..so I looked it up to make sure I got it right; Galatians 3:28 says..there is neither Jew nor Greek, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian,Scythian,bond nor free; but Christ is all, and in all ( that belong to Him). I don't think of you as anything but a brother in Christ and othets as sisters in Christ..SA put the link there so I saw nothing wrong in asking others opinion in all this. There are two young married women who have had on skirts that short and sat right in front of us and my husband still sleeps through the sermons
