(Isaiah 6:9, 53:1,3) Most Bible commentators and archeologists believe the same hill that Jesus was crucified, was the same hill that Abraham offered Issac as described in Genesis 22.
The study of Abraham’s offering of Issac is a detailed model of God’s offering of Jesus on the cross (& one of my favorite topics!) Some examples:
God told Abraham to offer his son. In Abraham’s mind Issac was dead. The actual event took place 3 days later, where Issac was spared!
Issac carried the wood for the sacrifice!
Abraham was mentioned coming off the mountain but not Issac!
We don’t read of Issac again, until a "bride" is prepared for Him! They were LOOKING for Messiah in Jesus' day: they knew it was TIME:
Messiah would first come 483 years after the decree to rebuild Jerusalem following the captivity of the Jews by Babylon and the Persians. (Daniel 9:25-26)

During some of the darkest days of the Second World War, the British Army was trapped at Dunkirk with little possibility of being rescued. A message was sent from the beleaguered army telling of their plight but also of their determination to hold out against the enemy at all costs. The message expressed the hope that they would be rescued but ended with these three words, "but if not." When the message was relayed back to England and broadcast, it galvanized a host of small boats, including pleasure craft, towboats, ferries, and every imaginable type to head for Dunkirk Harbor in an attempt to evacuate the trapped army. In the outcome over 300,000 British & French soldiers were taken off the beach. Although dark days remained as the German military machine continued its advance, the British Army, and indeed Britain itself, had been rescued.
3 young men refused to bow down & worship the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had erected. They were confident God could rescue them from the fiery furnace but also were aware He might choose not to do so. They determined to resist knowing that even in apparent defeat they would be in fact, victorious. Their courage still inspires!  |

Obama told Falsani, "The difficult thing about any religion, including Christianity, is that at some level there is a call to evangelize and proselytize. There's the belief, certainly in some quarters, that if people haven't embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior, they're going to hell." Falsani adds, "Obama doesn't believe he, or anyone else, will go to hell. But he's not sure he'll be going to heaven, either." Evangelicals trust God's word:1 Jn.5:13" that ye may know that ye have ..."
Obama again: "I don't presume to have knowledge of what happens after I die."
IF he trusted God's word he'd know.

Drivin' to Church in this area involves potential 'deer' incidents. But some homes think it cute to have a FAKE deer on their lawn, so that you can begin to ignore what you see, thinking it is a fake. But all of a sudden, BANG, the deer you thought was fake jumps out and `gets ya.'($$$$)

Note: state legislators intentionally denied citizens the ability to repeal SB200 at the ballot by including the Section 41 Safety Clause in that the Colorado Secretary of State's Referendum Guidelines say, "A referendum petition may not be filed... against legislative acts that contain a 'safety clause' declaring that the act is 'necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, or safety.'"

It is bad here too...
Colorado enacted the most hostile homosexual law against Christians in American history & Focus on the Family ignored the governmental censorship of SB 200 which forbids publication of most Christian teaching on homosexuality. Christian pamphlets & books against homosexual marriage, adoption, etc., are now illegal in Colorado. However, Dr. James Dobson's Focus on the Family is opposing a cartoon-version of this law, complaining that it will allow men in women's restrooms. But that bathroom aspect is least devastating part of the SB 200 attack on Christians, & it was certainly not the intent of the majority of the wicked & naïve legislators who voted for this attack law. Why has Dr. Dobson focused on the bathroom stall & ignored that SB 200 criminalizes the publishing of Christian teaching on homosexuality? Focus on the History of homosexual rights in Colorado to understand. In 1993, Focus vice president Tom Minnery and their public policy group, along with the well-meaning but short-sighted Will Perkins and Keven Tebedo at Colorado for Family Values, steered the Body of Christ down a tragic path of appeasement with humanists and homosexuals by caving in to gay political correctness.
