This ruling makes me very angry. What country, no, what planet are we now living on?! "How can we sing living in a strange land?"

Babies these days are worth less than pets in the eyes of the world. But people who think this way need to repent, and fast. "Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their Angels in Heaven do always see the face of my Father who is in Heaven."

A lyric from an old Negro Christmas hymn goes:

"The world treats you mean Lord, treats me mean too;
"But that's how it is down here; we didn't know who You were."

Who thought that today's children of all races would be counted and treated less than the American Negro slaves!

Sermon:
Was Paul the Anti-Christ?

“ Great Sermon! ”
"...crafty as I am, I caught you by trickery:" The Apostle Paul (2Corinthians 12:16). I guess Paul had all of us fooled. These men should fear Peter's witness: "15Consider also that our Lord’s patience brings salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom God gave him. 16He writes this way in all his letters, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction (2Peter 3:15-16).

I agree with you, Jim, about the GOP; their hands are stained with blood too. There are many cowards in the party (the so-called establishment compromisers) that do a great disservice to the courageousness of Lincoln. They should send an antiabortion bill to POTUS every month regardless of his vetoes if only to let their electorate know that they truly value their support.

Some things are in bad taste, even if it makes a point.
Jim, my friend, I am sure you agree that it is the duty of our representatives to hear and see all types of testimonies both live and recorded; and believe me they have witnessed much worse than these videos. Imagine how some of the hearings & trials after WWII would have turned out if those videos were not allowed to be shown. Even more people today would deny that "that holocaust" ever truly existed. Actually, these current videos are THE primary pieces of evidence in these hearings; or have you forgotten?

And as for "bad taste"... Few things leave more of a bad taste in my mouth than my personal taxes being used to not only publicly fund the murder of infants but to witness the fruits of those murders become a lucrative business in the merchandising of infant body parts! Yes, Jim, the taste of it makes me want to puke!

If I was a Democrat with a conscious... (I'll finish the thought at the end).

Virtually all Americans have become numb to viewing violent videos. When I was a young boy I loved all cowboy movies, TV & radio shows. World War II movies were still popular. Even comedy shows like Laurel & Hardy& 3 Stooges were filled with slap-stick. I practically learned how to fight bullies with Bugs & Looney-Toons had animals & people blown-up in almost every scene. The regular Saturday super-hero cartoons & comic books have now been turned into block-bluster movies filled with "clobbering time." Halloween will no doubt ratchet up the video violence & mayhem all of this month. Even our news will show beheading, drone strikes, both criminals & police shot, & of course put up a viewer warning before showing an undercover video. From nearly cradle to grave we have grown numb to viewing violent videos.

So, if I was a Democrat with a conscious I would seriously wonder if I was the only one. Abortion in every form and by its nature is an act of violence; because murder in every form an by its nature is an act of violence! And these politicians (representing you & me) are going to feign disgust & refuse to witness the commercialization of infant body parts?

Lord, have mercy upon us sinners!

But at least something is being done.
Yes, Mike, we can only hope that God has raised up these legal experts and others to challenge these Haman-like usurpers that are haunting the halls of our government and deliberately misinterpreting the Constitution. If that be the case then it is our duty to uphold these courageous men and women who stand for truth with encouragement and pray that God will give them a wisdom and a voice that would put the fallacious argument of the enemy to public shame.

Quoting part of the article: "But “anti-constitutional and illegitimate”?

“Obergefell should be declared to be such, and treated as such, by the other branches of government and by citizens,” the statement says."

The entire article is well worth reading!

I am far from claiming any credible knowledge of constitutional law so its hard for me to figure out if the statement described in the article is just bluster at eating sour grapes or the signers are truly serious about resisting and ultimately overturning this horrible decision. But quotes like the following gives me hope:

"“We call on all federal and state officeholders: To refuse to accept Obergefell as binding precedent for all but the specific plaintiffs in that case. To recognize the authority of states to define marriage, and the right of federal and state officeholders to act in accordance with those definitions. To pledge full and mutual legal and political assistance to anyone who refuses to follow Obergefell for constitutionally protected reasons. To open forthwith a broad and honest conversation on the means by which Americans may constitutionally resist and overturn the judicial usurpations evidence in Obergefell.”

If they are indeed serious then a first case won't be long in coming.

Thanks Carl.
No, THANK YOU for asking the question that deserves an honest answer from all of us. Honesty is what moves us from just spouting the theories of Religion to dare ourselves to live out the truths of God in EVERY situation our sovereign God puts us in. Hopefully we would still have the courage to say, "Not my will, but Thine will be done;" and leave the situation in His hands.

Seems to me that both truth and/or silence is always better than a lie (Mat_27:14, Mat_26:63; Psa_38:13-14; Isa_53:7; Mar_15:3-5; Joh_19:9-11; Act_8:32; 1Pe_2:23).

I especially love what Peter says in 1Pe 2:23 ..."but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously" (KJV). Peter knows what he is talking about! He was twice divinely set free from prison (Acts 5:18-19; Acts 12:7-8). Committing oneself to the righteous judge involves righteousness on our part. No lie great or small need not ever come from our lips if we wholly commit ourselves and the situation to God. And I wouldn't be too quick to applaud the Hebrew midwives, Rahab, and anyone else for their lie just because it appeared that some good came of it. The good came about because God worked the lie and other circumstances all together for the good of baby Moses and the spies because they loved the Lord and (more importantly) He loved them.

How ironic that this past Sunday at our Church one of our young members (and our Pastor's niece) read a letter sent to her from Pres Obama. She was so proud (as well as she should be) that the Pres responded to her letter that she read his response loud and enthusiastically. We have fans with the Pres's smiling face and every so often you may hear him applauded and defended by many members who are still proud to have the first black Pres in the White House.

It still unsettles me that many (if not most) in our black congregations still support this man; and this when his overall approval rating nationwide is in the low 40% range. Blacks overwhelming support him and the Dem Party despite his many statements and legal actions that has played a great role in making homosexual marriage the law of the land and penalizing and persecuting saints who conscientiously object. They still support and defend him even as he still argues for support of Planned Parenthood which not only gets a great deal of its budget from us taxpayers but also aborts nearly half of our black babies and sell their body parts to the highest bidder or use them to make vaccines. Black unemployment and poverty has gone through the roof during his tenure. All of this and more and he still continues to be "our man."

This is not so surprising with many Millennials being taught in our schools that the holocaust never happened. But nevertheless, the unborn are getting even less love than the Jews. I wonder what percentage will afford a hiding place for the saints during the days of our holocaust.

There was a lot of power in three men in one place last week! The leader of the greatest military power, the two leaders of the greatest economic powers, the leader of the most populated country, and the "leader" (from the world's view) of the largest religion on earth. I guess the next time this will happen will be a fulfillment of Revelation 13.

Any one who believes and cozies up to a faithful Muslim is a "Dancer with wolves." The statement may sound bigoted but its a truth that naive Americans (and Europeans) have to recognize and come to grips with. One nation under Allah will be drastically different from (an ideal) one nation under the One true God.

Senator Salmon of AZ is correct: Senate Leader McConnell is more of a problem than Boehner ever was. When evil Reid was Senate Leader he made sure by any means necessary that the bills passed on to the Senate from Boehner and the House Republicans would never come to the floor. Thus Reid was the main reason that the name "Do-Nothing-Congress" became the medias favorite chant. And Obama played it up against the Republicans and thus Congress miserable favorably ratings. So the Republican establishment told the voters to vote out the Dem Senators so that the Senate can put McConnell back in leadership so that the bills from the house can be voted on to get the country back on track. The voters responded and "McConnell, McConnell, he's our man..." took over the lead but bills from the house still remain in Senate quicksand; making Boehner look like the foil. Well the voters will hopefully turn a deaf ear to the Rep establishment and get some non-politicians in Congress and vote out McConnell from Senate leadership.

My opinion (and hope) is that Boehner will go out with a bang and use his remaining days to rebel against McConnell and the Rep establishment and force the Senate's hand in getting some bills through; including the two anti-abortion bills.

For those of us who need a bit more courage to help prick the consciences of other elected officials concerning the defunding of PP by giving these political moral cowards a public "black eye" (in much the same way as the widow did the judge in our Lord's parable in Luke 18:1-8), then read this article from The Stream:]]http://https://stream.org/infants-planned-parentho..

Update: Boehner is stepping down!!!

Something tells me that even the Holy Spirit can use some of the Popes remarks on protecting "all stages of life" to prick the Catholic conscience; in this case the conscience of the soon to be former Speaker of the House. Senator McConnell is a Baptist, but I wonder if he is considering taking a cue from Boehner and step aside and let someone with real courage take the reins of the Senate and get this no-brainer of a bill passed; he should.

I am totally upset with all of the establishment Republicans; especially Senate Majority Leader McConnell. If protecting the life of the unborn was as important to McConnell as ending the life of the unborn was to former Leader Reid then he should have taken a page from Reid and changed the rules to get the bill passed by simple majority. Even hypocrite Senator (and Doctor) Rand Paul voted to block the original spending bill last night (Thurs, Sep 24) that had the defunding of PP attached.

What's going on in Kentucky anyway? Both of her senators lack the courage to defund PP for its crimes against humanity and the governor and legislature refuse to defend the religious conscious of elected officials in having their name on state documents that approve homosexual "marriage."

I know its probably just rhetoric to get elected but some of these outside the establishment Republican candidates are starting to look more and more attractive.

Pro_14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

As an Ill. state senator Mr. Obama approved of killing abortion survivors as early as 2001:

His arguments, audio, and voting records have all been recorded and still this "man" was voted to US Senate and then POTUS twice!

In a democracy I don't know who is more a man/woman of sin; the evil elected official or the voter. Those who continue to blame God for their choices of sins are in for a rude awakening.

THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE: God places each one of us at the crossroads called Life & Death. The route to Death is "Broad Way" and the route to Life is "Narrow Lane." Choose your road and God will not only give you directions but He will assist you to your destination. And in a democracy you can even choose your leaders and travelling companions.

“ I DISAGREE ”
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear released the following statement Tuesday regarding the marriage license issue in Rowan County: ..."The General Assembly will convene in four months and can make any statutory changes it deems necessary at that time. I see no need to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayers' money calling a special session of the General Assembly when 117 of 120 county clerks are doing their jobs." She is an elected official who was elected by the same people who voted for KY's Defense of Marriage Act. That is why she was not fired and can not be fired by the Gov nor the Atty Gen. She is waiting for the state legislature to general assemble next year to take up the matter so she and other clerks can be legally accommodated just like the 30 clerks in NC were by our legislature. I believe her staying in elected office will add the gravitas for the citizens of KY to persuade the legislature to pass legal protection for not only the clerks but other elected state officials. I think it would be a different story if the majority of the county population that elected her agreed with SCOTUS but they overwhelming do not.
