"They study the devil's character and how he works," what stupidity, idiocy, do they really believe that is what the apostles did? How can people fall into this cleverly crafted scheme? You don't need to know more about the Slanderer, Doubt of God's word, Denial of God's word, and Deification of man, it's all in Genesis 3, lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, (1John 2:15-16) is what he used on Jesus and Eve. Yet, we are to know more about the holiness of God, the righteousness of Jesus, the acts of the Holy Spirit, etc. Not the Devil, let the children of wrath know more of their father, yet as for me, I am following Jesus, and desiring God. |

Texan I listen to the Bible dramatized, I listen to it on Bible Gateway, it does really aid us in getting a picture of what it was like, Chris said it perfectly. I am a visual and audio learner, I love the Bible, read it daily, yet sometimes I myself have to speak what I'm reading or else I won't get anywhere.Ladybug, I find very few professing Christians who even consider that, isn't that all what matters? Just to glorify God in all our thoughts, acts, goals, and priorities? May it indeed be our mindset. |

John UK, I am sorry to hear you be so quick to tear someone down rather than to actually help them, we are to speak the truth in love, not say, "He is not capable of thought, he came out the (sausage factory) church with all his doctrine sorted out by others."I'm not dull, I know that brainwashing goes on, and your analogy is a bit skewed in that you made the standard a Baptist church, as if Baptist have their act together, you've got to be kidding. And I'm curious why you would think that the churches are full of yes men? My Bible tells me that there are going to be a lot of tares, foolish virgins, etc. I'm all for thinking and logic, yet we are called to be holy and without blame (Eph. 1:4) and give glory to God in all we do, say, think, etc. And your comments are unseemly, dishonouring God by tearing down His children. If you're only on here to argue and exalt yourself, please leave. |

John UK, I can't believe what you said, you're basically saying, "I'm smart you're dumb." Basically you called him, miserable, brainwashed, going with the flow, not in reality, and not being able to think for himself. And you're the one talking about revival! I sure hope you're striving for revival. Onlooker, I'd just advise to never set the standard based on what man does, I know I myself can fall into that but we are to compare our doctrine and living according to God's word. I myself take a particular disliking to these false prophets, they will receive greater punishment no doubt. |
