No worries, JAG, we were just kinda going back and forth over some definitions of English words, writing styles, xenophobia, and, yes, politics again. Politics, politics, politics! Everyone is high on politics!
THBCC, I wonder about your writing style? Is that something you have developed on your own? Is there a school/university/college/tutor/academy/teacher that teaches that style?
I was just testing you to see if you were really located in the UK. I suspect that some people on here are not really from where they claim to be from. They are so focused on American politics but are located in other countries far away.
John UK , I am concerned that you are watching the President’s speech on the Lord’s Day when you could be watching something more edifying like a sermon or something like that.
John UK, wow, sounds like you know more about your government than I do. Sorry to hear all that.
You have not stopped me. I don’t even like the smell of politics. The whole politics thing is a total joke.
The challenge is that we have a democratic type government here in the States, and so we are privileged and obligated to vote as responsible citizens which is sometimes a very hard call. We do have leadership in place, whether by hook or by crook, that we must respect and obey as our current civil authority, not that we have to wholeheartedly agree or support their every decision or whim. I don’t bash my neighbor everyday even though he is a religious heathen; nor do I bash my president even though he is a religious heathen. At that, I think he is still a better choice than the other candidates that were nominated although I didn’t vote for him. Those who did vote (or not vote) stand or fall before the Lord, not me. Brother, you should also pray for your leaders and thank God that He didn’t give you worse ones!
John UK, I love Stevenr’s comment. I am proud of it too.
I am not annoyed at your comments. I was just showing that there’s more than one definition of the word “proud”.
And if you are referring to the “xenophobia diagnosis”, all I can say is that you can judge for yourself who started the discussion of Americans vs Brits. We are all sinners. And, yes, our leaders are probably more wicked than your leaders but for you as a foreigner to be bashing our leaders is disrespectful and distasteful even if they are bad. How would you as a loyal citizen of your country feel if I started bashing your Queen or PM out of the blue(with no provocation)? You might think I had an overly negative spirit or an aggressively critical attitude, which would probably be true. There’s really no good reason for you Brits to be angry at America/Americans. America did not steal England’s glory. You gave it up yourselves. We have also destroyed our glory as a nation. We are no longer a Christian nation. Our leaders are not truly Christian. It is a heathen nation with a few quickly vanishing vestiges of Christianity. The ripened fruit of judgement is ready to fall from the tree in consummation.
Wow, you guys love arguing over the definitions of words and that with a xenophobic attitude.
Definition of Xenophobia: intense or irrational dislike or fear of people from other countries.
John UK obviously has a vendetta against us as if Brits don’t have any pride problems. We do have a pride problem. So do the Brits. Yes, John UK knows this. Don’t let him fool you. He knows. And he knows that there’s different definitions for the word “proud”.
We could set up an interim government with King Jim as Prime Minister and see how long it lasts. If no success, give it to Mexico. Offer it to them at least. They pay for clean-up and a wall.
