Doesn't Ken Ham go against the Bible sometimes?
You should listen to Kent Hovind.

Don't we all do this, when we sin? Eric Hovind is the son of Kent Hovind and appeared in the video "The Truth Group - Truthe about the Dinosaurs" (which I recommend for kids and adults). In this video there appears many representatives from Answers in Genesis and Ray Comfort. I think the attacks against Ken Ham from YEC folks are unwarranted.

So, teachers can first kill you mind and lead you on the path to destruction with the anti-Jesus teaching in school. Now they can kill the body.... Maybe they should bring back the Bible into schools instead if guns. Someone filled with the hope of Christ won't get caught up in gangs and kill others.

On a side note, the headline from CP is very missleading. I read the entire blog article by Ken Ham, and he praises Jefress in the beginning. 'blasts' is inaccurate and sensationalizes what he said.

John MacArthur has a good series of sermons on the heresy of catholicism on SA. No-nonsense, brutal...

Rufus, Thanks for the Tozer link. Good stuff. I have several Tozer books. Ravenhill is good too. He has some good quotes online.

I agree wholeheartedly with what you say about the believers attitude toward sin. Listen to the sermon if you get a chance. I was a false convert in an easy-believism church and Paul Washer's preaching shook up my life. I was born again in the process.

Here is an article from Answers In Genesis on the word "replenish".

All the more reason for me to shy away from denominational titles as I have been and simply refer to myself as a follower of Christ if asked.
I feel that if I restrict myself to any particular name, then, in the eyes of others, I hold to whatever views/doctrines that the particular denomination professes.
As one of many examples, my wife asked me a couple of months ago: "Don't Baptists believe that they can do anything they want and still go to Heaven?" The once saved always saved argument.
Anyway, her asking that question just made me think even harder about it.
You and your wife should listen to this sermon by Paul Washer on SermonAudio.com. It is one of his most downloaded sermons and there is good reason. The question your wife asked is not difficult to answer. After listening to the sermon, you'll know why. Her question is not isolated to Baptists, but to protestants in general who do not believe in works-based salvation. If you can't earn your salvation by works, then you can't lose it by works. Have her read Galatians. It's black and white. Grace and Peace to you.

I find it ironic that at the same time Ken Ham identifies RC Sproul (whom I admire) as compromising the Word of God, Ligonier is having a "no compromise" conference.
http://www.ligonier.org/learn/conferences/no-compromise-2013-national-conference/
I guess we pick our battles... You really can't say that those who support millions of years come off with a bulldog attitude regarding Scripture like Martin Luther who said, "...Here I stand...". In a way, belief in millions of years is like tradition in the Catholic church. Science apparently trumps the perspicuity of the Bible. Did God really say?... We heard that before from the father of lies.

Ham has said many times that age of the earth is not a salvation issue. It is well-documented in the many articles on the AIG website. John MacArthur, according to sermons and his study bible notes believes in a 6-day creation unless I'm mistaken. I think Scofield got folks into trouble with the gap theory.

Only in Genesis do believers waffle on the meaning of 'day'. No virgin births according to science, but it is accepted by Christians, yet God can't create universe in 6 days? Thank God for AIG.

I sort of hope polygamy/bigamy becomes legal in the United States so that we can see the hypocrisy of the left. If two fathers are ok for a kid, then how about 3 fathers? It's just looooove right? Anyway, I have no hope in this country. On Christ the solid rock I stand...all other ground is sinking sand.

Though I do not agree with her theology (Galatians 1), Mother Teresa was more forceful and direct in her prayer breakfast speech given in 94 when she spoke of abortion as "the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself."
http://www.priestsforlife.org/brochures/mtspeech.html

It seems to me that Ben Carson was being more political than Christian. You'd think since he was a Christian and a Doctor that he'd speak of the obvious---abortion.

However, He could have one-uped Teresa by citing John 14:6, Acts 4:12, etc. Now that would have drawn a line in the sand. A pro-life person will still go to hell if he/she is not born again. Soli Deo Gloria.

"I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!" Luke 12:4-5 ESV

Mike:

I have no problem with defending your family. If someone was attacking my family, I'd shoot too, but not to kill, unless needed. Jesus told the disciples to carry swords, so I get it. I'm just talking about those that 'need' guns.

I'm all for protecting the 2nd amendment but I think some 'Christians' take their need/love of guns to an idolatrous level. Remember if we need/love anything more than God, it is idolatry. When I read the Gospels and Epistles from Paul, I don't see urgings to rise up against the government/emperor/leaders or complain because certain rights are not there. The jews sure hated the Roman occupation, but neither Paul/Jesus told them to rise up against it to get some utopia. We are simply told to pray for our leaders. Our joy and hope is in Christ alone. This is not our best life now.... We are so fixated on materialism in America.

Hey folks, Perhaps the best course of action would be to not participate in the gov't school system and forbid your child from attending its parties and proms. I remember the increase of young women seeking abortions a month or so after traditional proms while I was protesting at the notorious "Hopeless" abortion mill in Granite City, Illinois.
Agree. Anything goes in public school...well, anything except Christianity. The movie IndocriNation speaks volumes. It is so obvious.
