It is true God's elect are driven from these places. They are the Lord's and will not follow the voice of another. While these things are discouraging to see, I am not surprised by the broad way that leads to destruction. Let's examine who we are and be careful that we have taken the narrow and difficult way. The Lord's Church which He purchased with His own blood will be victorious. Hallelujah!

Praise the Lord he and his family had the courage to come forward and confess their fault. I can only assume they have also repented before the Lord and sought forgiveness. May the Lord bless them and forgive all their sins and use their confession to Hos glory and honor.

No amount of money will cause the truth of God to fail nor for His elect to fall away. Homosexuality is not a gift from God, it is a judgement. Not 8.5 million nor 8 trillion dollars can nullify the Word of God or stamp it out.

""You just can’t say that, just as you can’t say that all Christians are fundamentalists. We have our share of them (fundamentalists). All religions have these little groups," he said."

This comment the pope made concerning those who practice violence like the ISIS group, and a group within Christianity he calls "fundamentalists."

I would love to know how the pope is defining what a Christian fundamentalist is, but I think I have a good idea. Anyone who does not think like this pope, think ecumenically, espouse a social gospel, but rather teaches the Bible alone, takes it literally in all it's forms (historical, poetical, et) and other beliefs marked by the issues of the day (abortion, homosexuality, evolution) are likely to be the one branded fundamentalists.

To place such a group alongside these Muslim extremists who commit murder, rape, and robbery is both reprehensible and unjust. May the Lord protect His elect from such ignorance and tyranny.

This seems to be one of the defining issues of our day. Many positions compromise the Scripture in this regard and it seems their concern is looking foolish in the eyes of the world. I suppose Noah looked foolish when he went to building the ark and preaching righteousness. Let's be busy about preaching righteousness and building the Kingdom of God, regardless if they say we are foolish.

I don't know if others will get the same impression as me, but the progression of the changes in theology on this subject remind me of C.H. Spurgeon's Downgrade Controversy. The departure in his day from essential biblical truth became a downgrade to those churches and persons who left the biblical teachings to the point where some even denied the Lord. Here in this controversy we see well meaning believers, one here, one there, but a common theme in departure from biblical teaching and down, down the grade it seems to go until one has denied Adam even existed at all. This my brethren, I fear, will lead to a denial of the Lord Jesus. If the first Adam need not be a literal person in order to hold orthodox belief, then soon neither will the Second Adam need to be literal to hold to orthodox redemption.

Quite amazing and evil that members of a church would charge their pastor for failure to perform the work of ministry for not comdoning and blessing their wickedness. This is akin to the wickedness of Israel from the days of old.

May the Lord send another great awakening to our land and call His people out of these wicked places.

Her words are putrid for sure. Yet, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. We perceive by her speech that she is in darkness and does not know her right hand from her left.

I still remember walking in darkness and not being able to tell if abortion was right or wrong. May the Lord be merciful to her and give her repentance and faith that sheay turn from her wickedness and see the Light of Jesus.

As a side note, even the good an unbeliever does is not good in the sight of God. There are none who do good, no not one. And consider also how the Lord thought of worship mixed with idolatry. Was it acceptable to God to be worshipped with unclean hands?

The entire papacy itself is an affront to Christ. He does not speak for Christians, nor is his religion Christian. He is Antichrist.

This article quotes the Pope regarding his desire that groups outside the papacy "together celebrate the sacraments" May this not pass by the discerning reader. I highly doubt the papacy any time soon is ready to renounce her idolatrous practice of transubstantiation. I doubt she is ready to give up her love of praying to the dead, the rosary, her vestments. I doubt this pope or any to come will renounce their claim in infallibility, profess Scripture Alone, and preach the Gospel of that same Bible of faith alone, in Christ alone to the glory of God alone. No my dear brethren, she is not ready to give up one of these things. Be not deceived when she speaks like a lamb. She is still a dragon.

Praise the Lord. That was one of the more encouraging articles I have read in some time. Reading the words of the godly judges rejoiced my heart as they all, who commented, referenced the Holy Scriptures as their reason for stepping down. Such a display of godliness and holiness is refreshing indeed!
