Wonder what the classes would be like if they used the Peterson
Mess-Age...
or a Rick Warren Midrash 'bible'
(pick and choose from 26 versions to make whatever point)
to 'study'???
"
Mark Chancey, associate professor in religious studies at Southern Methodist University, has studied Bible classes offered in about 25 districts.

The study found that most of the courses were explicitly devotional with almost exclusively Christian, usually Protestant, perspectives.

It also found that most were taught by teachers with no academic training in biblical, religious or theological studies and that they were not familiar with the issues of separation of church and state.

“Some classes denigrate Judaism. Some classes explicitly encourage students to convert to Christianity or to adopt Christian devotional practices,” Chancey said. “This is all well documented, and the board knows it.”

"denigrate Judaism"?? Gospel accounts of plots against Jesus by Jewish leaders at the time??

This "Methodist University" guy is against 'christian perspective's, and
'devotional practices'?? like, what?
reading the Bible regulaly?

Many of the early English versions contained the Apocrypha, for two basic reasons - because of the general acceptance of the Apocrypha during the Dark Ages, and/or (in case of the Authorized, King James Version) for Scriptural analysis.

In each case, the Apocrypha were delineated either in an appendix and/or with an explanation showing them to be non-canonical.

a. Tyndale's Bible (1525 A.D.) places them by themselves as "uninspired."
b.Coverdale's Bible (1535 A.D.) does likewise, and with the following title: "Apocrifa. The bokes & treatises which amonge the Fathers of old are not rekened to be of authorite with the other bokes of the Byble, neither are the foude in the Canon of the Hebrews."
c. Matthew's Bible (1537 A.D.) and Taverner's Bible (1539 A.D.) place the Apocrypha between the Testaments.
d.The Authorized, King James Version (1611), like the Great Bible, (1539 A.D.), the Geneva Bible (1560 A.D.) and the Bishop's Bible (1568 A.D.) before it, places them in an appendix.
Apocrypha began to be omitted from the Authorized Version in 1629, and by 1827 were excluded permanently.

BTW, Bible MAPS are not inspired, crossing out the word "Palestine" and writing in ISRAEL improves many Bible maps.

Sinaiticus' canonizing of Apocrypha, shows it as corrupted.

Beatles still used to attack the truth:

Yoko Ono, the widow of deceased Beatle John Lennon, has lost her battle against the producers of the film Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.

Ono brought suit against the film's producers for including John Lennon's song Imagine in their documentary.

Last month, a federal court in Manhattan denied Ono's request for an injunction against the film that would have forced it out of theaters nationwide.

The producers are celebrating this victory by announcing that the film will be re-released theatrically this summer across the United States, according to a media release obtained by ASSIST News.

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, is a documentary exploring one of the nation's most contentious and longest running battles -- the argument over where and how life began, starring author/actor/economist Ben Stein. The film debuted at #10 at the box office, but saw its theatrical run marred by the Ono lawsuit.

"We had many individuals and groups who had planned to see the film, but decided not to because the cloud of doubt this lawsuit brought to the film," noted one of the film's producers John Sullivan.

"We came out of the gate with strong momentum only to have our integrity questioned by this frivolous lawsuit. "

]]Counselor fired over Christian beliefs

A professional counselor has been fired for referring a homosexual patient to another counselor for relationship advice. The counselor who was dismissed is a Christian.
Marcia Walden is a professional counselor who worked for Computer Sciences Corporation, a government contractor that provides Employee Assistance Program counselors to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). But Walden was suspended and subsequently fired when she referred a sodomite CDC employee to another counselor for advice on the woman's perverted problems.
Jim Campbell, litigation counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), says employers are required by law to accommodate an employee's religious beliefs, when doing so would cause no hardship. "Employees should not be forced to check their religious beliefs at the door," he argues. Campbell says Walden was motivated by her religious and ethical beliefs, and she felt she was unable to offer the employee counsel. ..the employer placed upon Ms. Walden an unconstitutional choice. It forced her to either sacrifice her religious beliefs and offer counsel despite her religiously based conflict, or it forced her to refer..& lose her job."

as Jim Lincoln suggests, I'd rather listen to Alexander when Alexander Scorby read the KJV bible.

(BTW, when Alexander Scorby read the Bible with a VOICE given by GOD in his providence, inquiries as to Scourby's testimony would require us to find out the testimony of the PRINTER who set the type of our Bible, or of the paper mill employee who made the page, or of the tanner who made my (BLACK LEATHER REAL CALF SKIN) cover.

wouldn't it??

Ex. 4:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? 4:12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

Give to the winds your fear
Hope and be unafraid
And use your mouth to kindle cheer
The mouth your God has made.

Justin who has cerebral palsy, praises God for His providence of removing him from the WOF movement, and thanks God for the gift of his disease which keeps him dependant on the Lord. What an amazing person…. this Justin Peters. Praise God for the burden he carries for the deceptions we are seeing today and for his courage to tell us about it.

I've got a wholly Holy Bible:
an Authorized Bible:
not a holey bible:

when as, said in John 7:39, they did "receive": "the Holy Ghost" they sent forth the Holy Bible:
as the gospel went out from men " full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom" Acts 6:3 "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost"2 Pe 1:21" that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren."1 Thess.5:27
In it, God is calling us to "love one another with a pure heart fervently"
1 Peter 1:22 because "we speak wisdom among them that are perfect" 1 Cor.2:6
"we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth" 1 Cor. 2:13 :a message to even "holy apostles and prophets" Rev.18:20 that
"the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done." Rev.22:6 Which remind us
"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory" Matt.25:31

I've also got some holey 'bibles' that remove the words 'holy' 'pure' 'perfect' from the above. I call those 'redacted' or holey bibles.

]]The Benefits of Burning Heretics at the Stake
It is simply incredible that anyone in the modern Catholic Church could in any way endorse or condone the atrocity of the stake and its use to deal with "heretics" in the middle ages, but that is exactly what Dr. Warren H. Carroll, Ph.D, the Catholic expert for the EWTN history forum, has effectively done.
he says in the above post:

"I certainly do not advocate the restoration of the butning [burning] of heretics, because in the present climate of opinion it would hurt the Church, ... "

So, if the climate were different, and the Catholic Church held the reigns of power over secular governments again, what could we "heretics" that oppose apostate Catholic teaching expect??

The Devil 'quotes' scripture:
Adds to:
Gen.3:1"hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? "
(adds "every: maybe implying God is a 'killjoy'?)
Denies it outright:
"Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: "
Implies God's word has 'errors'?
or misquotes(paraphrases)
Matt. 4:5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:............. and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. "
Psalm 91:11,12. NOTE THE DEVIL'S ATTITUDE TOWARD SCRIPTURE: A QUOTE THAT 'HAPPENS' TO DROP OUT PART OF THE TEXT.... WITH NO REFERENCE TO THE MISSING PASSAGE. Just a little 'paraphrase' or 'dynamic equivalent'...like the Mess-Age.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up... "
Note Adam/Eve's silence in the face of 'correcting' God's word contrast with Christ's "it is written':thus we may answer all the devil's lies.
