Thank You Lord Dear Brother John:
Last night as I listened to this wonderful sermon The Spirit blessedly came along side and opened my heart to feel and rejoice at Christ’s love and my Heavenly Fathers love to me.
This morning I awoke full of thanksgiving to Father, Son, Spirit, just as Phillip Doddridge recommends we begin each day in his The Rise and Progress of Religion in the soul. But this morning I did not have to make myself be thankful, as in past days, which I lamented to Him about in prayer asking for personal revival and quickening.
For He had answered my prayer by leading me to your experiential preaching, which I have longed for, and thank Him for.
May He richly bless your ministry, and the ministry of you brother preachers such as Malcom Watts, and Dewi Highams, who the Good Spirit has also led me to in recent days.
Oh how Good it is to have The Spirit “come down” and accompany the experiential and faithful exposition of His Word, filling the heart and soul with the perception of His Presence, and the reality of spiritual and heavenly things!
Thank You Lord, for this my brother, and his love for You. Give Him more and more grace and strength to proclaim Your incomparable person and work to this lost and dying world,
In Jesus’ Name, I ask it, for His everlasting glo |

An Excellent Overview. Dr. Masters’ exposition, insights and application of these chapters was a great blessing to me! He has given me a great deal to meditate upon. I highly recommend, not only this study, but all the studies in this series. |

Great Sermon! What a wonderful sermon! I was glad to hear it in the context where I could pause it often to glean everything God had in it for my “people pleasing” heart. Thank you for being faithful to exhort your congregation for the Glory of God! |

Timely This topic is not spoken of often in the pulpit. We are facing a possibility of God removing our Pastor. We pray he will reveal his will to our Church in sending another. Great insight and very helpful. |

Great Sermon! Excellent exposition of the Scriptures on Christ's Substitution and Satisfaction of God the Father's law and justice and the simultaneous justification of the elect WHEN He had finished laying down His life for them! |

Very helpful! This was very helpful. Thank you for posting these sessions from the conference there. Tom Hicks has really helped me think through many issues related to theonomy and CN, and I am sure he has helped many others also. |

Raising Cain It has always bothered me that God didn't seem to punish Cain for his murder. The Lord even gave protection from being murdered himself!
But this sermon opened my eyes to the fact that being sent out from the presence of the Lord was in actuality, a death sentence.
Thanks JD. |

Afflictions from God In discussing Psalm 39, Dr. Morecraft explains that David's attitude was to accept his afflictions as coming directly from God. As John Calvin wrote in his commentary on Psalm 39, "David regarded the secret judgments of God with such reverence and wonder, that, satisfied with His will alone, he considers it sinful to open his mouth to utter a single word against Him." That's the kind of attitude that God wants to see in us. Verse 11 says, "Thou dost consume as a moth what is precious to him." This means that sometimes God chastens us and brings us low and deprives us of that which we cherish but should not cherish, like a moth does in a closet. He doesn't always come upon us like Lot, but sometimes like a moth, silently, secretly, you don't know it, you're not expecting it. God's anger is eating away at what your heart cherishes until it's gone. |
