To the elitist the message of love to all is a lie.

To those that see themselves no more worthy than his neighbor, it is a message of hope.

Jago,
I do not place a microchip inside my kids brain and program them to say what I want them to say. Neither does my God do so to His children.
I happen to believe that God is so omnipotent that free will serves no threat to his sovereignty.
The Calvinist god is threatened by freewill.
There was a man by the name of E. D. Ott who sometimes used symbols to spell his name. While he had no understanding, he armed himself with lies which made him more dangerous because he thought he was doing God a service. No one had more of a foul mouth than Mr. Ott with his lies.

Yamil do you have children? If so consider as a loving father, that you would require those children to ask for things they want, and to thank you for the things you give them whether they requested them or not.
In this same way our heavenly Father asks us to speak to Him in prayer. We do not know the mind of God but are told to ask for those things we want. The Holy Spirit working in and through us can enable us to ask within His will.

Where did you find this in the Bible? Was it next to "Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated?" Rom. 9:13

I was persecuted by a Muslim boss, (still am to a degree), he so hates me. I tried to forgive him over and over and it was a phony forgiveness. THen (recently) the L-rd just put it on my heart to forgive him with a joyful spirit. So i did and it was as simple as that. Now i can pray for him and it is a joy, but G-d had so much to do with this its untrue-i couldnt do it in the flesh.

The following may seem like a contradiction, but they are not:

Luke 6:27-29 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

If we are asked to pray for our enemies and we are true followers of Christ? We might believe that those who oppose us are in the end going to be God's elect. That our prayers for our enemies have been decided upon before the foundation of the earth. I heard a sermon of a pastor from India who would announce to those in opposition (even if they were armed), that they were going to become followers of Christ. And according to his testimony they did, time and time again!

Psalm 35:13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

The Calvinist have a hard time praying for anybody.
Why ask for something of a god that has all things predetermined?

It's a tough predicament they are in.

There is hope for them though. After all, they do have the Weapon of Mass Instruction eager to present them with the liberating truth.

I am on my way out on soulwinning. I want everyone to know that I probably will tell them of Jesus' saving love towards them. Odds are, that after they see it for themselves in the Bible, that they will believe it. And I do not have to create a complicated theological system to prove it to them neither.

A man in the hospital accepted the Lord as Savior yesterday. He was depending on him being a good person to get him to heaven. I told him that he must forsake that and embrace salvation as a gift from God apart from works.

He did it. He prayed outloud and renounced his good works.

I suspect that God counted his faith for righteousness.

P.S. I also told him that Jesus loved him. Sorry, I could not help it after I kept running into it in the Bible.

"That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven"

Matthew 18:18-20 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

"Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

"mcs from texas"

It is good to know someone who can
follow our Lord's command.

To my shame I have not always blessed
those that curse and despitefully use
me.

I am a Calvinist and I know that we
have an omniscient, omnipotent God.
I just can't understand how people
can believe that anything can take
Him by surprise.

When we pray we know that we are to ask that it be according to His will.

This is Very DEEP theology...And, I am
just not smart enough to argue the point. I just know that my God is in
Charge.

Thank you and God Bless...

JESUS instructed us to bless those that curse us. when he was being murdered for our sinfulness, he asked His Father to forgive them "for they know not what they do." we should follow the example of OUR LORD and SAVIOR and not be overtaken with anger and hatred.

Biblical prayer---Matthew 6 5-15; however it cannot be denied that God is
in complete control and all things will
happen according to His divine will.

Yes, I am a Calvinist....God is all
knowing and His 'will' will be done.

Make fun of me all you want; I serve
a Sovereign God and I love him because
He loved me first.

Also, as I have compared the "Calvinist
Tulip" with scripture, it appears to
represent exact Biblical truth.

God Bless....

Dr. Yamil
While it is good to sharpen ourselves and our brothers by discussing doctrinal differences. It needs to be done in a respectful manner. While I am not personally of the opinion that the Calvinist TULIP represents Biblical truth, I have come to greatly respect my Calvinist brothers, and have learned a great deal from them. I truly thank God for some of the many other doctrines that they have very carefully preserved for us. I believe that Christianity today would be wise to learn to overlook TULIP and glean from our Calvinist brothers much of the great wealth of solid Biblical truth. And learn to be a little thicker skinned and refuse to be provoked by those few Calvinist's who just can't stand to leave us agreeing to disagree.

Allah is the moon God of the Quarish tribe, ssociated with fertility. who's symbol was a cresent moon, having two daughters al-Lat and al-Uzza. Mohammed elevated Allah to a monotheistic deity by combining his Quarish tribal beliefs with some teachings from some heretical Maronite Catholic teachings. Please look into it. Your eternal destiny depends on it. If Mohammed is not who you believe him to be you will spend eternity in hell. For breaking the 10 commandments that God handed down to us through Moses. Having another God, telling lies (which doubtless you do, as we all come forth from the womb speaking lies), hating (which makes you a murderer at heart), adultery (for looking at women with lustful thoughts). And failing to recieve the forgiveness that God offers to us who repent and put our faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
As for praying for Muslims, it is my passion to pray for them, Satan by his craftyiess could not have done more to lock a people up in such a way as to make it more difficult for them to be reached by the Good News. God have mercy on them.
