It is possible that John Paul II on his deathbed put his trust in Jesus alone for salvation and embraced Jesus as his personal Savior. If that is the case then he is in Heaven right now. Only Jesus knows for certain. You guys who claim to know for certain that John Paul II passed away without putting his trust in Jesus alone for salvation are being very unscriptural because the Bible states that only God knows who is saved and who is not saved.

Yes, English Believer you are correct about the actions of the Pope.

Matthew 7

18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

I think it is unlikely that he went to heaven... He seemed more enamoured of Mary than of Christ. But I could be wrong. Hence I voted unsure... I'm not a prophet, and I'm not God. Who knows what really went on in that man's heart?

His fruits were bad though... He seemed to be a total idolator leading others into sin. If he had faith in Christ alone, he wouldn't have spent so much time talking about Mary.

The thing is that we cannot know the heart of any man. Even though he didnt exactly teach the scriptures who can judge the heart of a man except the Lord our God. Who is to say he didnt have a personal relationship with the Lord? I think alot of the people on this sight need to spend less time debating stupid stuff and more time reading their Bible..

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' Matthew 7

The Pope qualifies as the "evildoer" that Jesus spoke about. As long as he taught what he believed that Rome is the only true Church and holds the keys to heaven....then he missed the gate of faith in Jesus. However this judment is based on his doctrine and practice.

Well considering "Judge not lest you be Judged" and considering one cannot judge the heart I judge the last outward appearances to obtain my verdict.

No Pope firstly can be saved, else they would reject their office and repent - wish that would happen just once, that would be so glorifying to God.

Secondly being buried in a Trapezoid shaped coffin with the same markings as on the ones explained and drawn by Anton La Vey founder of the Church of Satan who was also founder of the Order of the Trapezoid, he explains that the Trapezoid is a powerful occult shape which draws in and holds dark energy to purpose the resurrection of the dead one.

Also the use of the M and the cross is exactly same as Anton La Vey's drawing which has and upside down cross and a W.

What though is interesting is that they are not claiming to be opposed to each other. The Popes coffin merely was facing the cameras in a different direction but when you turn the coffin in the correct way to match that of La Vey's presto, we have both an upside down cross and the letter W.

W in reference to the Hebrew letter vav which is 6.

No way the Pope in heaven bound, he is bound somewhere else.

Absolutely not. The Book of Revelation clearly teaches that Catholicism (aka Romanism) is a TOOL of the Anti-Christ. It's no accident that Popes throughout history have been referred to as Anti-Christs by the Protestants...

Proverbs 30:6 "Do Not add to His words, lest He rebuke thee, and thou be found a liar" and "If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."(Isaiah 8:20)

People who preach a different gospel do not go to heaven:

"Though we or an angel preach any other gospel than what we have preached, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8

"As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:9

"And when they say to you, 'Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,' should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living? To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this Word, it is because they have no dawn. They will pass through the land, greatly distressed and hungry. And when they are hungry, they will be enraged and will speak contemptuously against their king and their God, and turn their faces upward. And they will look to the earth, but behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish. And they will be thrust into thick darkness." Isaiah 8:19-22 (ESV)

John Yurich,

With the Last Rights and all of the other foolish, unbiblical Romish dogma
one must believe what the Pope confessed with his own mouth while alive, hopelessly clinging to the unbiblical merits of the saints and mary because of the anti-biblical doctrine that says that the life and death of Jesus Christ was not sufficient!!!

John 3:36

These men are religous reprobates. They resist the truth. When men truly repent they turn and denounce false doctrine. They seen it was dung.

Very good point, Michael. These false teachers knew all their lives the heresies they spread and have the testimonies against them yet persisted till they went to the grave. The Bible says Now is the day of salvation. If you know the truth, repent now, not later, because you never know when you will be taken away and asked to give an account.

Will you please respond to the question about old lady O'Hair? Do you believe that old lady O'Hair being an atheist and thus a false teacher did not repent and receive Christ as Savior before she was murdered? William J. And since I do not pay attention to anything that the Pope states then I am not under subjection to the Pope.
John
Your question makes me wonder...are you somehow planning in the back of your mind to "have a death bed conversion"? Kind of like the Pope had to know he was going aginst what God Himself says in Scripture and you likewise whenever you hear or read Scripture references ought to know the same. Kind of like the "Narnia Fantasy" (please do NOT take this as any endorsement of Lewis fiction) of the character who served the enemy and at the end the Lion accepted him because he thought he was doing the right thing. This is an utterly blasphemous and damning delusion for those who have bought into it. John no one who rejects Christ can presume they get a death bed 2nd chance.

John, if Ms. O'Hair repented, of course she would be saved, but as far as I know, she was one of the worst false prophets in this country's history....left her church behind, got prayer taken out of schools, started an atheist denomination and lived very immorally and the bad fruit of her actions continue. She sounds like the pope in the first choice on this thread: the leader of a religion that denies salvation by Christ alone. She started a denomination(American Atheists) that denies God(and consequently Christ) and that alone apart from all her other godless deeds puts her in hell. We'll find out one day if she repented. We can speculate and have an opinion, but that is all. Granted, there is no sound evidence either way of what happened in her last moments. Sounds like you are still supporting a religion that also denies salvation by Christ alone by faith alone .

Having read your posts for some time now would it be safe to observe in you that you want to escape the terrible consequences of sin....it is just that you don't want to pay the cost of repentance and the obedience of faith.

Yes! I know salvation is a free gift that is not what I am talking about Salvation is a free gift to those who repent and believe NOT to those who seek to renegotiate and redefine the terms of salvation to give them license to continue on in the sins and sinful relationships they enjoy.

John, God simply does not change His terms to allow you or the late Pope nor anyone else to invent another way into heaven than the one way He has provided in His Son Jesus Christ.

Yes, John, I know many sinners are saved in saying a sinners prayer calling upon Jesus Christ to save them from their sins....this is something far different than those who abuse a "sinners prayer" to imagine they are now saved and will go to heaven when they die who have no intention to love, serve let alone obey Jesus Christ the sin in the lack of these things they needed to be saved from in the first place.

Think John why would you defend those openly disobedient (the RCC) to Christ

You are entitled to your opinion John. However, since I know no other news about the pope recanting false teaching, I am obliged to hold to the confession of the Apostles concerning false teachers. Praying to Christ does not guarantee giving up false doctrine. Catholics pray to Christ often asking forgiveness yet cherish their church's heresies. I wouldn't give up all hope for the Roman Church nor the Eastern Orthodox. I know there are those who desire reformation in these churches. Simply desiring isn't enough. They must act, protest, confess, cease from participating in the unbiblical rituals, etc.
I suppose you also think that atheist old lady O'hair did not receive Christ as Savior before she was murdered since there was no news account of that taking place? William J. Murray the son of atheist old lady O'hair did not state that he knows for certain that his mother did not repent and receive Christ as Savior before she was murdered because he knows that Christ is the only one who knows who has and has not received Christ as Savior. But you seem to have the ability to see into the hearts of mankind to tell who has and has not received Christ as their Savior and thus you are claiming to be Christ.

Yes, John, I have heard of deathbed conversions. But how does this change my opinion? The pope was a false teacher as defined by the apostles and he never recanted to the best of our knowledge. Therefore, all I know is he is to be assigned the same place with other false teachers as the Apostles state.
You can not possibly know for certain that on his deathbed that John Paul II did not pray silently to Christ to receive Him as Savior. Like I stated old lady O'Hair was an atheist and thus a false teacher and yet her son William J. Murray did not think like you and state that his mother did not convert to Christ before she was murdered. Murray stated that his mother could have converted to Christ before she was murdered. Nobody but Christ knows who has and has not received Him as their Savior because Christ is the only one who can see into the heart of mankind.
