Great Sermon! Thank you for this devotional message. Timely words as the Lord has allowed US to enter a time of darkness, but maybe also of spiritual awakening to the Gospel. I will pray for Pastor and his wife to get some rest in the Lord. Thank you!
Great Sermon! 74 yrs ago, I was born in the Paterson General Hospital. Right next door to Madison Ave. Baptist Church! Hospital since torn down. I heard Pastor preach live on radio on a Christian Radio Station some yrs. later. The singing was awesome here! I was an organist in my church for 25 yrs. I taught piano in my own studio, over 150 students. Many were Christians. I love listening to Pastor Sexton and love hearing those beautiful old, yet ever new, great Hymns of the Church. I'm enjoying teaching those Hymns to my 15 grandchildren. I don't care for many of the new songs that are being sung today. Very sad. If people only knew the sad circumstances people went through to write these old Hymns, they might see the difference. May God bless Pastor Sexton for many more yrs. to keep preaching Christ to the Highest! And man to the lowest!
Great Sermon! Mighty Sermon, there is little distinction these days in this country between how the world and those who profess to be saved dress. Such sermons are greatly needed in these days.Sadly today immorality is seldom preached on, and if it is, the things that lead to immorality, such as how a female dresses, is not addressed, and I am convinced many preachers shy away from it, and as a result young people assume it must be ok to dress like the world, as my pastor or minister never preaches against it, and now we have the situation where the pastor or ministers wife begins to dress like the world themselves, so their husbands can no longer teach the youth that it is wrong, anyone listening to this sermon can be left in no doubt what the bible teaches on these things.
Very thoughtful sermon Great call for God's people to discern the greatest need of the hour for the glory of God and his kingdom. "(14) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14).
God answers prayer! Wonderful testimony of how God the heavenly Father intervened and changed a man's life forever by answering his prayer, saving him, giving him a new heart, and making him a blessing in the church and in the world by the power of the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ!
Thank You for this sermon! I needed to hear this! I thank the Lord for letting me find this tonight. I've been struggling with lots of bad things happening to me lately. This was uplifting and a reminder that what others meant for evil, God meant it for good.
