Great Sermon! These sermons are blessing me 14 years after they were preached! Thank you so much for posting this on SermonAudio. It cost you money and it has blessed my soul.
Great Sermon! Wow! I’ve been struggling all my life with worry, fear and anxiety... this sermon spoke to my heart and mind tonight! So glad I listened.
Great Sermon! This is such enlightened teaching! I really appreciate your gentle, thoughtful, nuanced approach to evangelism. My family was not in a cult, but we were evangelized by a reformed church, and brought in as a trophy family in a new work. There was no attempt made to really know us, and when the church failed after 8 years, the “love” for us ended. The deep fellowship held out as an enticement never came to fruition, and we have realized over the years since just how much we were treated as Christians of a lower order. But God used all of that for our good! It is an encouragement to know that someone gets it.
Great Sermon! I love this depth of teaching. I am moved to add that the believer, the neighbor, the Image bearer, that God has placed in front of us at any given time is also worthy of our sanctified imagining of the struggles they have, and the story of their life. We can’t understand their life perfectly, but we can offer that interest and care up to Christ, and He will use it. If we are going to love them as Christ commanded, we should show interest in them and the biographies of their lives, for God is at work there.
Great Sermon! I listened to this again this morning and posted it on my FB page with the following intro comment:
I listened to this msg back in 2013, and just listened to it again and examined myself by it
Do you have an entitlement mentality? Actually, we all do to some extent or another. This msg on this parable by Christ should help us identify it.
God's grace in Christ is outrageous. Scandalous. Staggering. Hope my believing friends listen also and examine their hearts by it before the throne of Christ for their benefit 💖
Great Sermon! Excellent sermon. A strong call to fight for the faith and to be on guard against all that the flesh, the devil and the world will do to kill it.
Very convicting Wow, this was excellent, very convicting! I wish every professing Christian could be forced to listen to it. Every single one of us needs to hear this. May God help us to repent of this sin, which we all commit so frequently.
Great Sermon! What a wonderful encouragement to pray without ceasing and not lose hope. I needed to hear this, since I grow very weary of praying for salvation for my family members day after day, year after year. Thank you for strengthening my arms.
I also appreciated your comments on verse 11, that we are highly valued by God, not because of ourselves but because we are in Christ Jesus. Thank you for your good reminders that we must humble ourselves before the Almighty God, and at the same time we must remember that He values us greatly because of His beloved Son.
Great Sermon! What a beautiful, Biblical, Christ-centered, gospel-oriented exegesis of verse 24! Yes, Jesus Christ's finished work on the cross put an end to ALL our sins, and we have been clothed in His everlasting righteousness!
Thank you so much for this series on Daniel.
Great Sermon! What a GOOD sermon, pounding us with the truth of God's complete sovereignty over our lives and everything elsewhere, and rebuking us for our insane pride (as if we were ever capable of controlling our own lives).
It's so easy to give assent to these truths, but so very hard to put them into practice in our lives. May our loving Father help us by His Spirit who dwells within us.
Excellent sermon section! This is an excellent set of sermons through the spiritual warfare section. I highly recommend it to my brothers and sisters. The warfare we are engaged in 24/7. These sermons will aid you in the battle.
Great Sermon! Thank you for the Arsenal against the evil one. I know this scripture but fail to use it, especially when anxious thoughts fall upon me. Thank you and God bless you for His words in your sermon.
Beautiful Sermon! Beautiful! Wonderful! Fills my heart with joy! And with longing for the new earth when, as Pastor Borgman says, we will have ever-increasing joy in God. Yes, hasten the day, Lord!
