“ Great Sermon! ” Thanks for the Advent Sermon! This is a Scripture-lesson rich time of year, and Zechariah and Elisabeth (Luke 1) are often neglected. Too often people of the various Reformed groups ( I'm a 1689) neglect Advent season. Good Job!
Yes the Bible speaks openly and plainly about real conspiracies that have been frequent throughout history, but to mention them today is to be scorned. It is consistent with the doctrine of the depravity of man, which includes rulers, Kings and Presidents, that intrigue and conspiracy are common place, and that rulers come to power often by gradual usurpation and craft, and under guise of "justice", and make use of flattering words and "kissing" them warmly, and frequently as "Christian" and "saviors" to "defend freedom", or to "rid the world of tyranny". The churches ought to wake up, and consider David's plight!
