We are told that the walls of Jericho came down by faith. And so they did. The Lord brought Israel into the promised land and he brings them to a fortified city whose walls were as high as heaven. Yet by faith, victorious faith, these walls fell flat. Pastor Hille examines what was seen by sight and compares it to what was seen by faith. The "strange" battle plan handed down to Joshua by God was the only way in which victory would be secured. Are there not "Jericho" cities in our own lives? These walls will only fall down by faith in the same manner! In this lesson, we observe that the command is given to Joshua for all the people to work. The priests had a work, the men of war had a work, the people had a work. Beloved, today--everyone who is saved by the grace of God is referred to as a "priest", we have all been given the armor of God, and everyone who is saved are "His people". So everyone of us has a work appointed to us that can only be done by faith. God has given us Divinely appointed means to carry out this work. Though it seems "foolish" unto the flesh, victory will come by faith. This is a must listen for each an every child of God.
